Sending my good wishes and crossed fingers for the job. Oh by the way I own a kilt and love it. Not one of the newer one but the old style, almost like a Toga( its 20 ft. long and has to be folded into the pleats, pinned and tucked into the synching belt) . I wear it to the local Renaissance Fair every year. Wishing him good luck on the interview.

Welcome to the site. The longer your here you find guys that like you have a solo sport bike and a Venture. My solo is a 84 Honda V65 Sabre. You'll also find guys that have ventures with Vmax engines in them that would give your ZRX a run for its money. this is a great site with lots of good people that will help at the drop of a hat. So welcome and enjoy.

I've had my Andriod about a year now and i've always been able to get to the venture site without paying. I have gotten a prompt for the app but never down loaded it and never needed to. i EVEN ADDED A SHORTCUT TO THE HOME PAGE AND ALL I HAVE TO DO IS PUT IN MY NAME AND PASSWORD. I can read every post and even post answers. But Thanks Don.

Well lets see, i've named all my bikes. My 84 Honda V65 Sabre is called Trollsabre, My 79 yamahaXS1100 was called Wretched XS. The sidecar attached to it was called XS Baggage. My 85 Venture Royale was the Brown Fox And My 87 Venture Royale is the Black Hawk which I hope will be sporting a symbol of my own design based on the Blackhawk Comic book series of the 50's and 60's

WOW very lucky Man! Thank God you survived. I had a friend killed in a very similar accident. She too was hit from behind and propelled into the other lane. Only her pick up went right under the trailer as it slide over the top it ripped the cab roof right off. They couldn't get her or her 9 year old son out fast enough. They died at the scene. that was 23 years ago. I still miss her.

What a wonderful NEW tradition. I say we should do this every year. Reading the stories was the best part of all! contest or not!

My most memorable Christmas actually came in 2010. After a divorce it was the first Christmas in my very own home.Because of the divorce I had lost many of the family members I also called friends. The Christmas' I had shared with them were all in the past. but that year I had met a very unique woman. tall, dark and with a child like smile she too had lost a family to divorce. Her husband had died 12 years before they had no children of their own and when he died all the people that she had known as family turned and walked away. Things got rougher and rougher for her as the years went on. The only two members of her own family lived hundreds or thousands of miles away. The year we met Christmas was a long ways away but as it got closer i learned that it had been years since she had every had a tree, or decorated it or did any of the many things that I had taken for granted as Christmas. Though we were both well into our fifties she was as excited as a kid as we bought the Christmas tree and set it up. From a box in her closet she pulled out old wooden ornaments that she hadn't used in year. Watching her crawling around on her knees as she placed ornaments on the lower branches She seemed to be in heaven. We wrapped presents for days with big stupid grins on our faces. You've never seen anyone so excited about buying gifts for my adult kids who would be there on Christmas Eve. And when they arrived our home and she glowed with an incredible Christmas spirit. Several times that day I would catch her smiling as she handed out a present or hear her laugh and I had tears in my eyes. I'd never seen a woman so happy. I gave Carol Christmas that year and a family to go with it. But she was a Christmas Angel she brought so much love and appreciation of the Holiday into my life. It is something I will always remember. It was a new Christmas for both of us and the most memorable in a very long time.

One thing i found is that the thicker oil run in summer months like a 10w40 or a 20w50 is so thick in the cold the engine has a hard time pumping it through . and the engine won't start til it will. try heating the oil pan a little with a heat and see if that helps. if not look to the other problems.

sorry to hear about the eye. Hope the healing take. Couldn't ask for a better time . Wait till spring then see how things go.

Well lets see, I hope to transfer the progressive fork springs from the 85 carcass to the 86. I already have the Superbrace on. Next is a new front tire. After that I may change out my current HUGH fog lamps that look like they belong on a car from the 80's to some smaller more powerful led's that use less power and give off more light. -
Glad to hear you're doing better every day. Keep moving forward. glad to hear you got some riding in and you're back to work. Good luck.
