My O8 did the same thing, all connecters were tight and dry on my snooping around. Yamaha went as far as replacing the brains in the front cowling for the audi system, but it eneded up being the controller. knock on wood its been perfect since

Right now looking to figure out how to pass the wires through the crash bars without taking them off.. I did like Gray Ghost and ran a wire in first, pulled them through (also greased them up a little bit) BUT make sure you sand/file down the holes as smooth as you can I found that on my first attempt the holes cut, shaved off some of the wire wrap(coating)

Larry, I don’t know if this is the desired effect you want but I put two Kuryakyn LED’s under the fairing on either side of the tape deck, facing up directly under where the windshield sits and added more on the lower fairing edge where the clear protectors are. Actually works really well in lighting up the edges and is not distraction when I’ve got them on and cruise’n at night. Sorry but i have no night shots!

Sick idea Mike:clap2:, can we get a shot from in front?????

Hope this helps, used a heat gun and pushed from under there's not much two sided tape under holding the reflectors on.

Hey Bob, I did the reflector to LED conversion (http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=38596&highlight=reflectors) and mounted them on the back of my saddlebag guards and actually very happy with them. Wired them to the brakes and friends of mine have said that it really makes me stick out when I apply the brakes. -
Very, very cool Charlie:thumbsup2:

Without a doubt, go for an IPod or MP3, on my ’08 I think I’ve used the radio 4 times and that was because the IPod ran out of juice. Upgrade your 4 speakers to Polk DB401 . A perfect fit with perfect sound (even with loud pipes) and the only way anyone can see them from stock is looking right in the grill, but then I tell them they are standing way too close to my ride!- 7 replies

I like the Nomad styling (brake light, etc, etc.) and Kawasaki as a product, not a fan of belt drive, my first ride was a Vulcan and trustred her through any obstacle. They are nice even with the hard bags "Designed for easy packing, these 38 litre hard, colour matched saddlebags swallow an amazing amount of long distance gear". I still went to my RSV.
