No power

Started on the first turn. Ran it for a bit to see if the fuse got hot just in case there was another issue but everything was status quo.

just had to post...gonna blame this one on the gremlins... I have no idea what happened to the old one. It's said the "Due to the location of the main fuse/solenoid assembly, it is somewhat exposed to road splash from the rear tire. There have been reports of severe corrosion of the main fuse contacts causing complete loss of electrical power on some bikes. In many of the cases, replacement of the solenoid/fuse assembly was required. If you do a lot of riding in the rain, it would be a good idea to inspect the main fuse connections occasionally to avoid having problems on the road." Gremlins.....

Thanks pal...ordered a new one regardless. Didn't like the way the old one looked.

Hey everyone, anyone have a colour picture of the main 30AMP fuse found behind the clutch side passenger FB? finally getting some consistent riding weather and when i went to start up my 08 to my surprise I had no ignition let alone any power??? So following protocol, I searched the vast resources found here and began to source out possible issues. tested the battery, no other issues found,... so decided to venture to the main fuse and found this; Went to my Clymer manual and sure looks like its missing something...

Good times
9. no worries, we won't tell anyone!
10. Hey Mark, I like mine, got them on a great trade for some spare parts, keep netting in one and spares sun glasses in the other. no complaints:thumbsup2:
11. Hey Andy, I ride the Dragon once a year and at first I was intimidated by the video’s, talks, stories, bla, bla, bla, but doing a little research in the beginning and I even went as far as getting the Ride Like a Pro on The Dragon, Deals Gap DVD, it built up some confidence but it was still a rush. My first time down, just took my time, I think it was a Monday so not too many other riders around. We have a few roads up this way like the Dragon, just not as aggressive or switchbacks. Go on a weekday, avoid weekends, too many organ donors. Blue Ridge parkway is a must, also WAYAH Road is a must, actually the whole area is nice, just take your time. I would consider myself a good rider, you have to be one with the RSV. Like I said, I take rip down once a year from Ontario, do my ONE Dragon tail (it’s just bragging rights) and then I set out exploring…enjoy!
12. Just so there is a follow up...ordered part #90338-11152-00 which comes in packs of one!(must be a Canadian thing) Took off the fin and good call..simple fix, pulled out the old plug, ohh and BTW for those who might forget... there is antifreeze on the other side of the plug so be quick with your thumb or the new plug. popped the new one in, slapped a piece of duct tape (cant hurtm, right BuddyRich?) and off to the next project....
13. Fingers crossed, thanks for the posts....don't suppose either of you know the OEM part number?
14. I have read all(most anyway) the posts about the plugs behind the fins, but before I start adventuring by taking things apart, thought maybe I could get some opinions or suggestions. Started her the other day, ran for about 10-15 minutes, didn’t push it, just enough to get her warm. While taking a look today found this and about a dime under the kickstand …..
