Sending prayers for great outcome and speedy recovery

From one contractor to another... Take time to heal... The business will be there when you get better... Most clients will understand, new clients will come to replace the ones that don't... Glad it wasn't worse... Sending prayers.

Joe, I know what you mean.... Was away from here for a while... Other forums are not the same as here.... One forum I go to for my Spyder is good but there is a moderator that spell check and grammar checks each post also changes them to fit his idea of what a post should be... He cracks me up and pisses me off at the same time. Folks just posting search is your friend with-out helping out is a little belittling.... Maybe the person asking is not able to do a search, using the proper key words, to find the correct info... Everyone has strengths and weaknesses.... VR.Org is special and I found that out when I was away... This was the first MC Forum I signed up for and it's the best that I've encountered....

My wife read me that news story yesterday... All I could do was laugh... Then I called her my "Spousal Unit"..... Lucky for me I can run faster then she can throw things.....lol

I loved my Ciro had it on my Venture and Harley I had the black one so i cant say anything about the chrome lasting. I tried the Kuryakyn one when I first got the Harley and didn't care for it replaced it with the Ciro... I think I sold it to Freebird as he likes them.... Just make sure you tighten the ball mount real good once you find the position you like... I have a friend who likes the Kurry one but the black powder coating is failing on it where the black on my Ciro is still holding up well.... Only difference is his bike is in a carport and mine is in a garage

This is just a stopping point for him..... Venture, Harley then Trike... There is a few of us that went that route... Nice looking Bike @Skid... You keeping your matching Venture?

I will be nice to see you again... It's been a while

Congratulations! Enjoy

I looked into them before I decided to purchase a trike... Lots of mixed reviews so I talked with an approved dealer here in VA. They had installed less then 20 of them and about half of the customers brought them back to remove. They seam to work great on flat / even roads. Roads with ruts and uneven pavement seam to make the landing gear go up when you think they will be down to assist you... I never pulled the trigger so I have no experience... This is just what i found out and didn't want to take the chance, with my bad shoulder, trying to keep the bike up if they didn't work... My only issue is if the bike starts to lean left at a stop I cant pull it back to center..

Well Folks. It looks like I'm gonna try and make this rally... It's been a while since I've been to a VR.org event... So if you will allow me to come with my Can Am Spyder, I'll make hotel reservations. and come on down.. I'm looking forward to seeing ya'll and getting some more practice in the twisties with this bike.

Sold My 2004 Venture in 2017 and bought a Road Glide Ultra. I loved the bike but had to have shoulder surgery in 2020. The Doctor gave me a 27% chance it would work.... Well it didn't work....lol. I have minimal use of my left shoulder and can only lift 10lbs with it for the rest of my life... Those time when the bike starts to lean and you have to pull it back so you don't drop it is a no go for me. After a year of looking at the Road Glide just sitting in the garage, I decided to go test out three wheels. Tested a Harley trike and couldn't push the handle bars to make a right hand slow speed turn. I tested a Can Am Spyder and with the power assist steering it was a winner. May 2021 I found a deal on a 2021 F3-T model with 197 miles and bought it. I now have 6000 miles and so far so good. Quite a different ride but still have the wind and the feel of a bike... Semi Auto Trans and not having to hold it up will make for LAZY biker... I'm still working on riding twisties, so it looks like i'm gonna meet the group in Asheville NC for their Rally. It's been a few years since I've attended a VR.org event. Looking forward to it

Riderduke replied to cowpuc's topic in Watering Hole
Ok I'll join in. My favorite Christmas song... I believe that John Berry sings it the best https://www.mojvideo.com/video-john-berry-o-holy-night/fb9da33637f91e42ccf0 -
No new Star ventures for 2019
Riderduke replied to ZOEYDOG's topic in Star Venture and Eluder Tech Talk ( '18 - Present)
Its an oil transfer issue between the transmission oil and the final drive. A handful of M8 engines have been affected. My engine has 25K problem free miles. The only problem I have had were the front rotors warping at 5K. Replaced under warranty and have been problem free so far. As we all know the ones that have been affected are the loudest....LOL. Loving my 17 Road Glide Ultra just not the cost of accessories. Its Called "PAYING THE HARLEY TAX.":yikes:
