Don, You might want to add "ride like a pro" to our vendors that give us a discount list. I ordered their DVD for 35.99. I also included a note asking if venturerider.org gets a discount. Final price was 29.99 with shipping included. Kenw

I had an idoit pull out in front of me. I stayed up, but the back tire was smoking! Luckily he stopped in the in my lane and I was able to swerve around him! Some 101 year old guy in a 70's tank. Glad you came out ok, evrything else can be repaired. Kenw

Maybe you don't know it yet, but when your down on your luck any smiley face or response lets you you know that we are out there! this is a family and we care for one another. I have some deformed veribre in my lower back. Some days it doesn't matter, others My leg in numb and I can barely walk! My greatest fear is to be out on the bike and have this happen, altough I can usually work it out in a few hours. Welcome to the grow old club! Kenw

My experiences with dealers, Yamaha and the "whine"

Just my 2 cents about some dealers. When I was looking for my Venture I went to motions. It might be me, but it was I was in a car lot, no matter what price we talked about, it always came back to sticker when he got done calculating. I bought the bike out of state, but I have Bartow Motorsports in Cartersville doing my work. First time there the mechanic came out to introduce himself and tell me he has went to a Yamaha school and is qualified on the bike. He asked me if I had any problems that he could help out with. The sales and parts are also very helpfull and friendly. There is usually a pot of coffee going and they take the time to make you feel wanted. If yoour not to far out of Cartersville give them a try! You won't leave there feeling you have to go home and shower Kenw -
sorry to hear about your loss. I've had dogs most of my life and it their death is never something easy to deal with. Max, my Cocker spaniel and best friend is over 10 years old and I know what is comming. My heart goes out to you! God bless, kenw

when I was a kid and didn't know any better I rode a suzuki in the snow in Chicago. Back then you wet you hair, so it was frozen, and you couldn't move your fingers from the grip postion for about an hour after school started. And as an added note motorcycle breaks don't stop a bike in the snow! Just turned the tires into skis. Kenw
