  1. Looks good !!!:thumbsup:I like the idea of them having extra lights.
  2. That's good, I was misinformed. I may look into them again myself.

  4. I believe if you run the K&N Filters on the RSTD, you have to purchase the billet air cleaner covers ($400) from yamaha to run them. This is why I haven't used them. I believe the K&N filters are a little to large to use with the stock covers. This is the information I was given. Just something to keep in mind before you purchase the filters.
  5. If you plan to add more accessories later I would recommend on of these switch housings. Allows for the addition of switches with no drilling of any of the panels. I have my light bar on one, amp for speakers on another and a light inside my trailer on the last one. Works well and the light from the switches aren't bright enough to blind you at night.
  6. The Chrome forks on the S model are pretty easy to keep clean, just soap and water. The reseviors I have to polish pretty regular to keep them from looking dull. Use Eagle One Never Dull metal polish on the parts that aren't chrome.
  7. I had one of those that attached to the luggage rack. Sold to a member here. I had to remove it everytime I used my tour pack riding two up. It was a good flag mount.
  8. I couldn't remember if I had already posted this or not, did a search and couldn't find anything. I installed these a few years ago right before Vogel and haven't had any problems with them. These are flag mounts for Harley Davidson Saddle Bag Rails. They fit on RSV and RSTD bag rails with no modification. Just have to remove the bags to install them. I have small flags on them now that I use for long trips, but they came with bigger ones. They cost me about $ 100 each at a little shop I found. They come with an American Flag, POW flag and a crossbones flag. They are made by Kuryakyn, Part# 4208. Here is the website is you want further info: http://www.kuryakyn.com/Products/854/Side-Mount-Flags-Kit Just thought I would share with everyone.
  9. Here are some pics of the way I installed mine. I used two piece chrome clamps and stainless fasteners to attach the speakers to the handle bars. All the wires from the speakers and the amp are connected under the tank. I ran switched power to the amp to one of the switches above my clutch resevoir. Ran the aux input to my phone holder and control everything from the phone. The amp is completely sealed up so there is no need to hide it in a waterproof place. I just turn it off each time I turn the key off so it doesn't draw power when trying to start the bike. The remaining switches are for my light bar and a light inside my trailer that I can turn on without having to turn on the bike.
  10. I installed a set of these speakers two years ago. I used a different amp though. I think the amp came from cycle sounds. The amp was a lot smaller and chrome. I mounted it behind the headlight with the cable running to the handle bar mount for playing songs off the iphone. Will post some pics of mine if I can find my camera. The speakers sound great.
  11. Try looking in the fuse panel in the lower left side front fairing by radiator (looking at the bike from the front). That's were my fuse is.
  12. Looks good!! I didn't wont mine on my RSTD to be visible. I used a similar method. I seperated the horn from the compresser. Mounted the horn under the bike. Ran a hose around to the right side cover under the seat. Mounted the compresser in between the frame and battery box and the relay behind the side cover. Had it on the bike for over a year now, works pretty well.
  13. I had to let you guys see this. This is me and my dad. As we were leaving Home Depot the other day a man on an Ultra Classic stop me and asked, "What......you guys couldn't get ladder racks with those bikes?" I just smiled and rode off. I figured afterward I would take a pic and let you guys see.
  14. Eck, we may just wait with you and ride back in with everyone. I'll talk it over with the folks and see if they're up for it.
  15. We'll be meeting you guys in telico plains to ride the skyway. We are in pigeon forge now so it won't take us too long to get there. We'll head to blairsville at the end of the skyway. Don't feel comfortable pulling the trailer thru the dragon. Is there only one exxon in telico plaines, don't wanna be at the wrong one.
