His name is Dusty Rigdon. And I think a listing would be great. Maybe Don could help us out with a good way to do that other than individual posts?? Oh Don..............Are you listening.

Mine either. I have an unlisted number and it brought nothing back for my home. Returned some things for my other number, because of my online business.

would you buy a RSV again?
RoadKill replied to stvmaier's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Had my 03 two years in Feb. and put 30K miles on. I love the power, ride and handling (since I went to the smaller front tire) I haven't seen any bike I like the look or ride more than this one. Wife likes the ride comfort. I like having the storage with the trunk and saddlebags. I can ride longer on this bike than any I've had. Never thought I needed tunes, but now that I have them, I think that is one of the top things I like. When this one finally bites the dust in about 15 years:rasberry:, I will probably be too decrepit(SP) to be able to ride anymore with my Arthritis, so I'm making the most of it now. My advice to you. Test ride one and all the others. Determine how you like to ride...long, short, etc. I think that will help you make up your mind, because no matter what we say, its really still a personal choice. Good Luck. -
Hope you are working on growing your legs:rasberry: or you are NEVER going to reach the foot controls. Oh by the way. I don't like the color.

Well off in the morning to Fort Campbell to see my nephew before he deploys again for Iraq. Please remember him in your prayers. Jay

I agree! Get the dates now and then have Freebird get it on the rallie link too. The sooner I know the more likely I will be able to get on my wife's calendar and get her to come too.

I like the idea too. I think it would be nice if we could possibly forward it to others if desired also. I know I would like to see some dealers receive it to get an idea of what we have going here.

The RSTD does not have pillow tops, The RSV midnight discontinued the studs and went to pillow tops. The 05,06, & 07 RSTD are all the same with the exception of color. Jay

30 Beers maybe:rasberry: I figured you would want to have a contest to see who could have the most leather added to their bike.

What they said regarding tire and steering head bolt. Also-Play around with air in rear and front shocks. Both can affect handling. I am 5'11", 185. I run 38lbs in rear, 5lbs in each front. Be sure to use a shock pump so you don't over inflate.

Vibrates going up hill in 5th gear
RoadKill replied to a topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Don't exactly know what the conversion factor is, but I have down shifted at60-70 MPH many times and have road at 80 MPH in 4th many times. More than likely the vibration you feel is the 5th gear bogging down. It is a true Overdrive. Try downshifting and I bet it disappears. -
It was great to meet you Danny. Looking forward to getting to ride together sometime. Jay

Glad your 1st was this one. I really enjoyed meeting you both and look forward to riding again. If you are up my way look me up, because I'm looking you up when I come back down there Jay

While in Eureka Springs we visted this company's location and they are the nicest, most helpful company I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. They went way be on the call of duty by assisting me and HeatonMT with some custom installations of accessories we purchased and would not accept any payment for their additional service. Note: Sean at CycleGadgets is going to hopefully soon be stocking a CB Microphone Only for the Venture after He worked with Mike on modifying a headset to work as a CB Mic only on his 2007. If you have time go to their site and look around. Better yet, when in Eureka Springs, stop in an visit. You won't be disappointed. Jay

I went from an 05 RSTD to an 03 Venture. Love the added storage, wife loves the comfort. I don't know how I ever go along without the radio. Wish I had just went with the Venture sooner. Jay

I think if we all signed individual letters and mailed them it might get their attention even more. Can you imagine 1000 letters from one group! Would let them know we cared enough to sign it and mail it rather than electronically attaching names, which could appear it really only came from one person. If I have time today I will draft a simple, but to the point letter and put it out for folks to download, add their name and sign. Jay

Cool. Been think of you. New Bike??? 2nd Gen, 2nd Gen, 2nd Gen!!!!! Come on you KNOW you want one!

Unfortunately the only way to adjust them is prior putting the lamp back together. Its a PAIN IN THE BUTT! Take it apart, adjust, put toghether test, take apart, adjust....etc You get the picture. Get em close and then don't worry about it, that was my motto. Oh forgot the only way to adjust is with the bolt inside the light on the post that holds it to the bar. Jay PS: Just thought, ask the dealer to adjust, that should have been part of the install. It was on mine. Lot better than on the ones I installed on my V*1100.

Glad you are relatively ok Chuck. I agree with the other post. Get your shoulder XRayed just to be sure. You could be making it workse and not even knowing it. After my wreck I knew I had broken ribs, but I subsequently had a colllapsed lung that I walked around for 4 days with in agony. Don't hesitate to call if you need anything. Jay
