Bill You staying all night or down and back? I have this on my calendar and was toying with the idea of riding down to eat and then turning around and heading home. Only be about an 800 mile day for me. Let me know what you are doing.

I think this is something Yamaha might take care of even out of warranty. I doubt the dealer would agree, but I would try talking directly to the company. Might not get anywhere but I would try. Regarding the ignition switch, I had one go out on my RSV and lots of things were effected but not the odometer. You can take the battery out and it doesn't even effect it. Good luck.

somewhat dissapointed w/ Garmin

Only time the free servic works is if you purchase a new REFURBISHED unit and register it for a new warranty. Just got a new one from a refurb I purchased from Get Feet wet.com. Even if they hadn't I would have jumped at the $170 price. Lot cheaper than buying a new one and the 2730 is one of favorites I've ever had. -

I found an electric (battery) lighter on ebay, two AAA. Its windproof, then I picked up a lighter leash at the convenient store. When I'm ready just stick the cig in the end of the lighter, pull the trigger and poof. The lighter leash keeps me from dropping with gloves and my Arthritis. I change the batteries about every month, depending on how much I use it.

Tom try giving her the rawhide chews. Of our 9 we had one like that. Started giving her the rawhides and it helped work off the chewing urge.

I use Ultra Luster. An individual was at the international in Harrison last year. I ended up becoming a distributor. I really like for the bike and cars and my wife uses it on our Hardwood floors. If I never sell any I'm happy cause I bout a sh*t load that I know will get used.

Guess, I will be the only one at the Motel 6 Oh well,

Well Garmin really stepped up to the plate on this one. I received back an entirely new unit. I had updated my maps and when I asked about it for the new one they sent me a free 2010 update. Installed it yesterday and all is great. Even took it out on Wednesday the day it arrived on the bike and the XM worked perfectly, since your subscription is based off the antenna. Based on this service I will never buy anything but Garmin.
-
No it will only work with XM, NOT Sirius. Just went through this Argument with the comapany. Totally different hardware and they are not integrated yet.

Large group of us always stay at the Motel 6 in Amherst and they always treat us right. So any that need a room come join the party.

Thanks for your service and welcome back!

Sorry for the misunderstanding of what you were looking for. I would think it should be pretty easy to find. Hardware store or Try the web for the Slime or some of the heated clothing manufactures. I believe they are all the same type of connectors. My Slime pump came with the connector. Jay

I have similar ones on all our helmets. Much easier on my arthritic hands and easy to do with gloves. Also much better than the other style out there where you squeeze the sides to release. I had one of those get jammed and couldn't get the helmet off. Thought I was going to have to cut it. Thank goodness I didn't have to ruin the helmet. Finally after fighting it for a half hour got it off. Promptly removed it and circular filed it. I pick up two or three each year at Niehause Open house or any dealer I happen to find them at. You will love them.

To hook to battery just remove your seat, attach the leads directly to terminals. If the BT cable is long enough let it hang out under seat. IF not you could always splice in some extra length or you could just remove the seat when you need to use it.

Well if I end up going to the Zumo 550 at least I already have the XM antenna that came with the 2730 that will work with the zumo. Cheapest I have been able to find has been about $600. I would make the switch if I could find one from a reputable seller for $400 or less.

I currently use the Garmin Streetpilot 2730. I really enjoy XM radio. That's what I really like about this unit. GPS, XM and MP3 all in one. Unfortunately, I have been having a few issues with the 2730 and its currently at Garmin for repair/replacement. They don't make these anymore and I found this refurbished unit for $300, but have not found them at that price since. I started researching the other available units and the only other unit I could find with GPS and XM was the Zumo. I don't even care if its Motorcycle specific. Too bad this one doesn't have that capability. Doesn't even look like it has MP3. Anyone know of any others I could research that have at a minimum GPS and XM? Thanks, Jay

On my wing I run my batter tender (BT) directly to the battery. The BT pigtail also will power the slime pump as it is designed to do. No fuse is necessary. The slime pump, including slime bottle and air gauge fit into a case that is about 5x6x1.5, so its very compact. On trips I check my tires and adjust as desired every morning. Works great. I have used other power port plug in types but they were always bigger. Directly to the battery is the absolute best way to go and these little pumps are perfect for the scoot.

I checked the calendar out and its not there for those dates anyway. If memory serves me I think he just ended up deciding he was going to be there on a certain date and if people wanted to show up fine. Wasn't going to make it anything special.
