I know what you mean. I drive about 120 miles round trip 4 days a week and I don't see that EVER changing. Don't want to live where I work, and I don't want to work anywhere but where I'm at. Hopefully it will help if I can ride more someday soon here. Jay

Well today was the 1st time I've been able to get out and ride this year. There have been good days, but life always seemed to get in the way. Took a day off work which was nice because there was not as much traffic in the day time. In getting ready last night I was surprised to find that the tires and shocks were still exactly were they were supposed to be. 1st time I think that has ever happened. The other thing that I found was that all the windshield bolts under the chrome piece were severely loose. I think when I put the new shield on I babied them a little too much to ensure I didn't crack the mounting tabs on the shield. I also got to try out my new J&M headset. Was going to just use the mic on my 1/2 helmet to move away from the hand held mic I've been using. I just couldn't bring myself to cut off perfectly good speakers for the 1/2 helmet, so I went back to my open face. I will have to say I really liked the sound, but it will take some getting used to for the tightness around my ears. All I can say is I feel like a new man:thumbsup: I hope Spring keeps working its way here.

Wife and I watch it faithfully along with alot of the other "Reality" shows. You got me thinking though. How about a mini Talent/Idol show at Maintenance day. I'm willing to go first even. LOL:dancefool:Might be hard to bring a guitar and my piano on the bike, just a wild thought for some fun and laughs.

I agree. I am sure it will be worse at times. It was pretty much no wind yesterday. I've got a little clean up to do on it. But I'm very happy. Really surprised me that this Bravada has a 5500 lb towing capacity. 265hp, and 265 ft lbs tourqe. It will be interesting to see how it feels when the bike is in there. Jay

Thought I would let you know I got my trailer home yesterday 6x12 Haulmark. My 04 Olds Bravada pulled it like a dream. Plenty of power and I got 15 MPG while towing the 100 miles home. I bet I don't get stuck in an IL winter next year! Kbran, you better get ready next winter. I might be heading your way.

Chaos Helped me do mine. (Ask him why mine took 3 hours??) The folks at PCW were great to deal with, gave me their phone number in case I had any questions as I did it. Boy does it really fix that slipping. Feels like it really hooks up now.

The way you are always Fab'in something up, I'm betting you could whip something up that would work even better. With my Highway pegs, I don't think I'd really need them.- 9 replies

That's what I was trying to do was maybe add a heavier axel to increase capacity. Have anymore info on what you are talking about?

Can the Axel on my new trailer be switched from leaf to Torsion? Not sure I would want to do it just curious if it can be done? Thanks,

I going to start saving tech articles right now

GPS speed of 67 - 70. 40mpg 1 up, 38 2 up. Nice smooth relaxing ride. On the Interstate you can just settle in and not have to change lanes alot.

Well you know you of all people are welcome to borrow it.

It's probably just a 1 bike trailer. You would have to be really creative to get 2 in. I don't really plan to haul the bike in it much, except when I can't talk the wife into riding somewhere. I figure it will be more for all the other stuff I find myself wanting to haul. If it don't work out I'll put it up for sale. I think I got if for a good price.

Pick it up next weekend. 2005 6 x 12 Haulmark Here's a couple pics.

Yes, Just VentureRider.Org on the front and the V4 is missing something, but can't quite put my finger on it.

I had 14500 miles on my rear Avon Venom when I changed it and it still was not to the wear bars. Front is still going.

Know what you mean. My new to me vehicle has the info computer that tells you what your instant mileage is. Its really interesting to see how your driving style affects the gas useage. I figure when I use a trailer I pretty much have to not care what the mileage is. I really think I will end up using it for a lot of other jobs more so than hauling the bike and they will be shorter trips. Also, the one I posted the pic of is a low profile so if I end up with that one it will have less of an affect than the cheaper ones I originally thought about getting. Side Note: On the cheaper ones the ramp door height was only 60". The Venture height is 61.6".
