Finally running right
RoadKill replied to Freebird's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
If you keep taking it up to 112mph, I don't think your mileage will be that good. -
have you tried clearing cookies, files and history? That might help eliminate it.

While I agree with the sentiment totally, I 2nd the motion for Deletion!

They look cute. We have 5 dogs of various breeds, all insiders. I would think they will probably harrass the cat some, but if you get the puppies young enough the cat should be able to train them. Your cat was already used to your other dog too, right? I'd go for it.

Thanks for the input. I just didn't know. I haven't had it that long and have only hauled some lawn tractors and lumber with it.

I have a 6 x 12 enclosed trailer and getting ready to install the wheel chock (BTW-Thanks DoubleD) It is a single axle. Any suggestions where to install it? I think if I went all the way to the front the tongue weight would be too much. I guess it also may depend on how the existing d ring tie downs are positioned because I want to make sure at least the front ones provide the ability to compress the front forks. Oh, and before you trailer biggots start in on me:whistling: I'm not going to be hauling my bike. I am getting it installed to assist a friend whose bike was vandalized at his work. Thanks for any assistance.

I bought our helmets from them. They really do stand by there return/fit policies. Sent wife's back for a different size and they couldn't have been easier to deal with. I also purchased a leather vest from them. I usually check them out first when I'm looking for something.

I really like the looks of the Drifter. Almost got one years back, but the local dealers never had one in stock to even look at and at that time no one made any accesories. Wasn't even a good way to put Saddlebags on it. Still loved the look though. How about some pictures???

I was reading all the suggestions and think this would be good, but how you have your fingers positoned would most definetly be hard to see. Maybe we should consider WHERE we wave. Most of the time I see riders wave out to the side and down. Our wave needs to be straight UP above our heads. Rarely, if ever have I seen that kind of wave. So that's my idea, what do you think? huh? what do you think? do you like it? huh? do you like it?

I run Avon's with the smaller front and at all speeds they are the best I've ever ridden in rain. BTW just put a new front on and I got 28000 miles on it. I'm at 14000 on this rear tire and had the shop look at they said it has at least another 4000 miles on it, which will be in another 45 days.

Did you get the truck for improved mileage?

I have one from Coveralls http://www.coveralls.biz/ They fold extremely small. Right now I have the one that covers the seat, but I use it to cover my electronics and the seat. Keeps it dry and cool. I will be getting a 1/2 cover soon from them too. They donated to last years Eureka Springs rally and are great to deal with. I think its important that we support companies who support us, so at least give them a look. Thanks, Jay

Cool. I am still planning on making it. I promise I won't say anymore about that other thing I said:rotf:

I ride, I buy gas, I ride. Only time I figure mileage is if somebody asks me. I found the most savings on gas expense I get is when I don't go anywhere Hence, I have chosen to not stress my mind whith fuel costs. Gotta go to work and No way I'm not going to ride. I'll cut back on food first:2133:

I have mine powered with an outlet and no static. What kind of Aux cable are you using? Also, sometimes if it isn't connecting well at the unit with the Antenna and Aux it can do that.
-
I was just watching the Quincy News and I still think you better check the flood warnings Friday, cause they mentioned something about 61 being closed and some times being evacuated along the Mississippi North of Grafton. Hey to see you head out for nothing. We could meet in Litchfield and you could buy some more Goldwing chrome:thumbsup:

Lugging at acceleration
RoadKill replied to jaho's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Is this in every gear through those ranges? Reason I ask is that the common problem most new to the Venture experience is trying to run in too high a gear which will give you that Lugging feeling. So when you down shift........."You've lost that Lugging feeling, whoooaa, that Lugging feeling" Sorry couldn't resist.- 16 replies

Before you plug the front in turn down the IC volume on the radio controller. there is a special selection to do this via the select button functionality. Not sure but it sounds like feedback. Also try turning down the back and plugging them in one at a time. These are just guesses, but worth a try.

Bill, You may want to check your route to Hannibul as there is quite of bit of flooding being reported along the Mississippi. Report I read this morning said that even with Hannibul's levee some downtown flooding may occur if the river reaches its expected crest. Might want to consider an alternate location. Just thought I would let you know. Jay

It was a broken wire that the spacer had crimped my son helped me fix it after we got the yard mowed. I just thank the good Lord was watching over me and it happened right outside the garage and not half way to work. Thanks for all the suggestions and support. Jay
