  1. Yes, I just PM'd him that I wanted it to at least be 33 before I left. That light bar was installed the next weekend after I got home from Eueka Springs:thumbsup: and the wife says it really adds some visibility in the rear. I have us a room reserved here and you have my cell. Come on up. You can bunk with Buddy:rotf: or the floor cause I'm a spooner and I'm not taking that chance. Days Inn and Suites Springfield on I-44 3114 N Kentwood Avenue Springfield, MO 65803 US
  2. I will be there unless you won't let me. As far as class...there is no way I bring class to anything:confused24:
  3. Well Just got off the phone with Buddy. His Goldwing is on its way out the drive and will be officially on its way to Sherman Illinois by Sunday 3/15 and the RoadKill Racer will be headed to Oklahoma. We came to an agreement and we are trading, or course with some $$ in his pocket. Hopefully Peg will be able to keep him at home OR riding a little more. I'm both excited and sad. My 2003 has never given me any trouble beyond the usual, but he should be good to go. All the standard things have already happened and been fixed. We plan to meet in Springfield, MO on Saturday and then both head home on Sunday. Unless you guys kick me out I plan to hang around and cause more trouble :whistling:and attend as many get togethers as I can get to. I'll post some pictures as soon as I can until then here is Buddy's picture.
  4. I got mine replaced under WARRANTY! No reason it should just break off at the black piece like they do.
  5. I love it too. Very Peacful. I leave for work at 3:30 AM. That ride in is great. The only thing you really have to watch for are animals, especially Deer. However, I believe you have a lot more room to see them on the Interstate verses a 2 lane. Of course some Interstates are better than others at night and the time of day makes a difference, but all in all my favorite time to ride!
  6. The Venture Dad hitch full package include the hitch, stinger, hitch pin, clip and 1 7/8 ball all for $150!
  7. I used electrical tape:rasberry: Works like a charm!
  8. Snarley Bill's Extend M/E May Freebirds June SE Wisconsin July Clarksville, TN July International Rally August Eureka Springs, AR August Disney Cruise w/wife & son, Brother in law, sister in law and neice
  9. All the same. I have Road Glide Pipes:cool10:
  10. In this economy I have no idea what it would be worth, but I'll be watching to see if you come up with a price or put it in the classifieds. My better half has always liked the blackcherry. Though it would be hard for me to give up the best color ever made
  11. 23 lbs down 12 to go! May keep going though.
  12. Have you added extra Chrome and leather? Good Luck. I can relate to finally being pain free. Broke down and started getting shots in my back because the won't operate. Boy have I felt better!
  13. Ok, got me there. And I hope you know I was only kidding! Just couldn't resist.
  14. I'm with you Squid. I'm thinking I will probably use my trailer on about every trip. It is just darn convenient. Take all the diet dew I need, chairs, If I might want it I can take it.
  15. Not sure, but I just started at one end and pulled up. I liked mine on the tank so I just remounted with the tape mentioned above on the bib.
  16. Take care. Have Fun, Ride Safe and Looking forward to seeing you in May in St. Charles or ........sooner if you show up on my doorstep:rasberry:
  17. Last two Modulars I bought for my wife we got through Leather UP. Excellent prices and seemingly hight quality. They have a great fit return policy also.
  18. Thanks Ponch. Good Info. I pretty comfortable without either also. I took the tilt ball out of the package last night. After looking it over I'm not so concerned with the back and forth movement as I am the front to back play. I think that might cause problems. Think I'll just stick with my fixed set up. Jay
  19. Why oh Why would anyone go to Canada!
  20. Depending on the date I might be able to also. However won't middle of May be a little on top of your St. Charles get together.
  21. The company I bought my New Trailer from sent one of these along. I had my trailer hitch already mounted on the bike before I received it. It still in the package on my workbench. I am not sure that it is really needed. The trailer coupling moves around the ball sufficiently to not cause issues in leaning in turns. At least not the way I ride:whistling:. The only instance where this might really be useful is if the bike went over, then it would keep damage from occurring to the trailer tounge. Since we all know the 2nd Gen is capable of falling over I might take it out and look it over and mount it up. The only thing I didn't like just looking at it int he package is the extra long bolt. I really like the look of the Ball Roy sent me with the Venture Dad hitch, not alot of exposed threads. I guess I could take it over to my cousins shop and cut it off on the band saw. I let you know what I think after I get it out.
  22. Here are some pictures. Took it out for a Test run with a load. Pulls like it is not even there. Lovin It!
  23. I just installed a Venturedad hitch. Actually any non-vertical receiver hitch will work. When you order Al's rack there is a form you have to fill out if you want it mounted with a stinger. Then you do some measurements, he makes it that way, and sends it to you. 24. Yep I like the all Diamond:thumbsup:
  25. Surprisingly I have it together. But the lights from the bike for the trailer are not working so I must have messed up, well I know I did:whistling:, but I thought I fixed it. That's what I get for thinking.
