Maybe you should start being nicer to "Murphy"! :rotfl:Next time maybe he won't invoke all his laws in 24 hours

Believe me, I in NO WAY wanted a whole new site:crying: Just a folder in this site would be nice sometimes to ask other GW folks questions on specific issues. By the Way I'm with you, I agree that the RSV is more comfortable. I like my Wing and probably won't change till a new RSV comes out.

I vote for Potato Creek. 5th Anniversary gathering is way cool idea. We ride great roads all the time, but good company is even better. May I suggest/request we do it over a weekend instead of during the week also. Much easier to get away.

Very Nice! That is the BEST color they have ever made! Just like mine was

And the Questions are...

No thank you -
I'm with you. My Wing really hurts my hind end. As far as the original poster's delimma, I went the Corbin seat route on my 2003. If I could afford a Corbin for my wing and I thought I would keep it long enough to get my money's worth I would get another one in a heartbeat.

I think we should ask Freebird for a Venturerider -Wing subforum! I like my 2008 alot, but its not a Venture. Looks like I'm probably going to top 25k miles this year on just the Wing, so I guess I don't mind riding it.
-
That's just a breakfast ride for a Venture!

Glad you had a good time. In July we are taking our annual trip with my best friend and his wife to that area. I will have to try and remember to hit you up for ideas closer to then. Jay

I had a 2003 Venture. Never had one ounce of trouble with the bike. I could ride 700 miles a day with no issues. In March I traded with a friend here on the site for his 2008 Goldwing. I like the wing and its luxuries, but miss the RSV. It was much more comfortable. Only able to do 699 miles a day now . Good luck on your decision and as others have said, no matter what you ride you will enjoy this group. To get its full benefits try to attend one of the many M&E or rallies. Great folks here.

LA stopped by my place around 10 on his way North. It was good to see him.

Saw this post came back to the front, so I thought I would give you an update. For what we are using it for, just intercom, its working ok. Fortunately Buddy had installed a passenger control system on the GW, cause if we had to just leave her headset on the wind noise would be a deal breaker. What we do now is she or my son turn their IC off when they are not talking which stops the wind noise. I wouldn't buy another one, but for the price I will keep it till it craps out. Jay

Reminds me of "Duke" the best dog I ever had growing up. Looks like you have a good one.

Darn it. I was ready to buy it back. Glad you gotter running. It must have started on your way home after we traded. Because believe me I was experiencing no problems coming to Springfield that fateful day in March. Guess I will just have to keep this Wing for now. Ride safe and have fun.

Try doing a Hard Reset. You will have to re-enter favorites and some set up will need to be re entered, but it might correct your problem. I had one do the same thing and after the reset its now worked for 2 years. You also might go to the satellite screen and check the settings there. Don't know what they should be..........., but check them anyway:rotf:

My first inclination would be jail her, however, would that just cause more trouble and drag things on longer. Since you would like to just get on with your wife the best course of action might be to just let it go. Believe me I am speaking from experience!! Honestly did you really ever expect to see any of the money? I know I never expected it and never did see it. For me it was just easier to forget about it and move on. Took me 10 years to finally clear the debt and credit issues, but in my mind it was worth it to be FREE of her crap.

I like the Meremac idea. I love Southern Missouri. The Mark Twain forest and route 19 is some beautiful riding.

I had a chance to get rid of one of our 8 and when it came right down to it I couldn't let any go.........and they are ALL my wife's dogs. Your wife has been kind enough to take this dog in, so when it all comes down to it she should be able to name it. I home she gave it a bath though before she put it in your SUV

Watch it or this one will get deleted. It could go south very fast. But I Love it too

Auestion for the Truck Drivers Out There (about passing)
RoadKill replied to LilBeaver's topic in Watering Hole
I have driven a truck before and agree with most all that's said. Always pass on the left, don't come back over till well past, and get it over with quick. Don't know why so many drivers think they can't use the throttle/gas peddle when passing, but choose to creep by. When I learned to drive our intsructor said never come back over till you could see both headlights in the rearview mirror. On the flip side I ride my Wing on the Interstate 120 miles round trip to work and I try to be aware of what's going on especially for the Semis. Let them over when someones merging, let them pass if they are gaining on a truck in front, etc. It just common courtesy. Its always nice when you know they noticed your kindness and wave or flash their thanks. If more people treated each other they way they would like to be treated it would be alot safer out there. The GOLDEN RULE, believe it or not still applies. -
I use a mount plate especially for XM from Cycle Gadgets that mounts to the top of the resavours (sp) However, in addition to the magnet I added some vecro. I've never lost signal anywhere except a tunnel.

I'm generous, so here is my 5 cents! Don't paint a MM. Any other I do not believe it would matter so much.
