  1. Sounds like you guys had a great ride up, down and around on some beautiful roads. And I know Evans cottage and what a reward to be arriving there after some long hard riding. Sounds like this could be described as a perfect guys getaway. I wish I was there to enjoy the time with you all.
  2. We have two recliner rocker chairs that we absolutely love for comfort and they look slim and nice as opposed to alot of the lazyboy recliners that we saw. The name brand is IMG recliners. They are made in different sizes and when you look at their web site you can see that the head rest is adjustable in height, (very much like a car seat head rest) and adjustable forwards and backwards depending on the angle that is best for the user. So, so comfortable. Good luck with your search. As others have said this will be a great gift.
  3. Im glad to read that some of you where able to get away and the rain did not cancel the trip. Tooch, sorry to hear your chemo treatments is affecting your energy, but the success of it will be worth it. Abdul, sounds like you had a good long ride.
  4. A horrible life altering loss that most of us can not even imagine. You are in my thoughts and prayers As others have said, you did a great job as a parent and as such must have so many great memories. Please don't back away from life, other family if you have any and friends. This is an unbelievable dark time in your life and you should not be alone. As one had suggested even some professional help or group sessions with others who have lost children will help with coping skills so you can get back some of those beautiful memories of your daughter, and live a good productive life for her and in her honour. Know that many of us here at VentureRiders are sending you our strength, thoughts and prayers.
  5. I am sorry to say that I will not be able to attend as we are leaving Thursday for PEI and gone for the month of September. I look forward to reading any posts and viewing photos of the fun that you are having
  6. Yes I would like one as well and sent you an email
  7. Bob, you will be missed by all of us who knew you. You where a kind and welcoming person to everyone you spoke with. I am thankful and a better person from getting to know you and be around you. God Bless you Bob in your new Home.
  8. Great Ben, I have marked this date in my calendar
  9. Don, sorry to hear this health news, and thank you for sharing. I hope the concern being shown will help your spirits in some way. Also hope your insurance issue gets resolved and if not that you can hold off without any health issues getting worse for the one month wait. Be safe and you are in my prayers.
  10. Dave, some nice options there as opposed to riding in the rain.
  11. Wayne, sad news for sure. Prayers also being asked for the family
  12. Thank you for the updates Tom. Prayers are certainly being asked for Bob and Becky. A small blessing that he is feeling somewhat better and may be heading home as opposed to having to stay in the hospital.
  13. Great photos and I'm sure memories made.
  14. Must have been an amazing trip. Your camping spots where spectacular. Great memories I'm sure.
  15. Also made it home. It rained all the way to Canada and then it stopped. Thank you Eileen and Don for hosting this MD again this year. As others have said, with less people, it made it more special being able to talk with people longer and get to know them more. A big shout out to Phoneman1981 who came all the way from West Nebraska with his wife and Grandson for their first Freebird's MD, as well as Videoarizona with his wife who flew in from Arizona. It was great meeting you Mark and Dave, along with your wives and of course Brandon, who was so excited to be there and such a good talker. A big welcome as well to our newest member who just joined on Friday night and rode out the next morning to MD, Erict79. Eric you have a nice looking bike and we hope to see you at some other events and rides. Thank you again Eileen and Don for opening up your home and property for all of us to gather and have such a great time. Don, thanks for your patience and guidance in backing me into your driveway. Maybe thats why you where losing your voice. The need to be yelling at me since I wasn't doing things as you where telling me too. Haha. And Eileen thank you for taking me out for a drive in that beautiful convertible along with Peggy. An enjoyable memory for sure.
  16. Glad you where able to fix it and didn't get hurt or damage anything else.
  17. I will see you and the group at the Friday dinner, but not the group ride unfortunately as I will be leaving Thursday. Be safe and have fun
  18. I have a great suggestion........ Bring it to MD at Freebird's and we can all take a look at it for you and of course get it all fixed up for you as well.
  19. I also have a Carbon One lift adapter and the spring does not get in the way. Just like Divey said in his post, I also have to lay down to get the rod to fit thru the ring hole on the other side by doing some twisting and pushing of the rod, but it always goes in. Best of luck
  20. Bernie and I as well want to thank you, Paul and Mary for hosting the enjoyable day and lunch. We got home with about 15 minutes to spare before the skies opened up.
  21. Have fun and enjoy the sights.
  22. Scott, I'm very sorry to have read this sad news of your brothers struggle thru cancer. As you said he is free from pain and suffering and now with the Lord. I hope you can take comfort not only in all the memories and good times with your brother, but the time you spent with him at the end to give the sense of help and not being alone when he needed it the most. My prayers are with you and all his family
  23. Thanks for sharing the post, video and storey. As a Canuck, I have never heard of this place, so now I have another destination.
  24. I agree Bob, what a great property and such a long water front along the lake which is so beautiful. It was great seeing all of you there. If I can steal a line from Cecdoo which he just said, "the great Gummie run" of 2019 will be a memory not soon forgot. Loads of fun and laughs. Thanks Vickie and Kim and of course Bob and Becky along with Craig. Fun, fun fun
  25. Congratulations to Eileen. She will love driving that and even more so when she gets to put the roof down.
