Check it out! I mounted my mack truck hood ornament on my fender. It's appropriate, I think. Anybode else have anything other than the stock fender ornament mounted? http://www.tomatojoe.com/Personal/mack-1.jpg http://www.tomatojoe.com/Personal/mack-2.jpg http://www.tomatojoe.com/Personal/mack-3.jpg http://www.tomatojoe.com/Personal/mack-4.jpg (Sorry for the pics, I have no idea how to attach them as pop-ups...)

Holy cow that is cool! I think I'm gonna build one...

I just got my bike put back together after getting it painted. Man it looks good! A buddy of mine painted the tank, front fairing, front fender, lower fairings and saddlebag tops (I'm picking them up tomorrow). I bought this bike last spring - it was totaled. I replaced the whole front end and a few other parts. This paint job pretty much completes the restoration. Now if I could just keep the darn pollen off of it. Anyone in the Carolinas knows what I'm talking about...

I always liked the look of the road glide's dual headlights. It's pretty unique in the cruiser world. I wonder if you could mod the ventures front fairing to handle a dual headlight setup?

Does anybody have a broken radio control unit laying around? I lost (broke) the volume knob off of mine. Of course, you can't just replace the knob, you need to replace the whole unit - to the tune of $600+!! Any help is much appreciated!

I also have one and I feel exactly the same a Thom.

I just wanted to say that I did the cassette removal mod yesterday and it's great! I made a nice little lined pocket to hold my ipod and whatever else. Thanks to the others who did this before me and posted the info online.

Cool. Thanks!

That looks really good! Do you have any info on this "ultra star" forum? I googled it and didn't find anything...

This was a good thread! I do feel kinda wimpy being so cold at 40 degrees though...

As the temps dip down into the 30's at night here in the Carolinas, I was wondering what is the coldest temp that you've ridden in? With my normal gear on, which is basically a leather jacket and leather gloves, I decide that yesterdays 40 degrees was a bit too cold - but I was pretty good this morning at 46 degrees.
