Remember who we are not what others want us to be!

I always thought Canadians were our 'kissin cousins' -
This is what I would do.

Pretty cool! Do you have to worry about speed with that small of a tire? I would think it is REALLY turnig fast at 60mph.

WOW!! They look really awesome in the pics!! They really set the bike off. craigr

It was that color Yellow, but it was a 2nd Gen. I'm not familiar enough with the 1st Gens to distinguish them from a GW unless I take a good long look. craigr

We went for lunch yesterday from Omaha, NE to Maryville, Mo. Somewhere just a little south of Glenwood, IA we past a bike that at a quick glance, looked like a YELLOW Venture. - Obviously repainted. But, it looked cool. It was going West on the Highway and I was going East so I didn't get a good clear look at it, but the wife and I both say it was a Venture. Then, just 10 minutes or so later I say another one, (I don't remember the color). Very seldom do we see another Venture on the road, but to see TWO of them that close to each other really caught our attention. Was either one of them any of you folks? craigr

When we were at our last Rally in Indy, someone called my bike a 'YamahaHarley'.

FSo when they stop making the 2nd Generations, will they be sought after? They are just so blasted comfortable and reliable! It will be.tough for Yamaha to improve on her! Maybe get rid of the cassette and go fuel injection, but that's about it! Craigr

If you would like to meet up for some Ice Cream over a warm brownie & Hot Fudge, there is a Quaker Steak & Lube in Council Bluffs that is very Bike friendly that we always go to. Let me know if you are interested and as the time gets closer, we could arrange it. craigr

I finally was able to look at the video at work. - WOW!!! I want one. Although, as mentioned above, that floor better be really clean. There better not me any kernals of popcorn laying around! craigr

I'm about tired of the argument between Apple and Adobe! I went out and bought an iPad to browse the net in bed, while traveling & just because it's cool. THEN find out that Apple and Adobe can't play well together so there is no flash player support!! So, any site that has it, I can't see it:( So, what is this thing from Honda that you folks are talking about?

Well dog-gone-it!! If I had known there was a rally in Soldier, we would have been there! We accidently caught one a couple of years ago. But missed last year's. We had plans on Saturday, so we would have missed that day, but the other two we could have gone. Soldier is one of our regular destination rides if we want a short day long ride. We especially like one of the back highways up called L16 out of Morehead. Maybe we will be able to catch next year's. craigr

We took a ride today from Omaha, NE to Sac & Fox Casino just south of Sabetha, KS and back to Omaha. It was a great day for a ride! Although I could have just as well thrown my money on the floor as soon as we arrived at the casino. On our way down there we spotted an 02 Black Venture at a Gas station in Nebraska City. I got a chance to talk with him a short while. He said he has been on this board, but not if he is a regular. Was it any of you? The next one was on hwy 370 in Bellevue, NE around 630p heading west. How about it. were either of these two from this board? Craigr

We bought a nice boat new in 2003 and LOVED it. Then, got back into Motorcycling in 2007. The Boat has sat since. I haven't even started it since 2007!! My kids and friends tease me about it all of the time. It's just so much easier to hop on the bike and go, than it is to drag the boat to the lake or river. Then launching it and being limited on where I can go. I plan to get it out on the water THIS year, but then again, I planned on getting it out LAST year too. craigr

A Harley blue my Ventre away!!

I don't know how high the numbers go. 22 is about the highest I can go on mine before the distortion gets pretty bad. At 70 to 80mph, you have to know the song to be able to tell which song it is. I would like to have clear sound at that speed. craigr -

I stand corrected. I guess I am the only one who suspected who without reading the name. He is a very nice guy and does good work. It's too bad that he takes too long. I have friends that would order from him if I would give him good recommendation. I just can't because of the time. - I'm sorry Troy. craigr -

Funny how we all know who we are talking about without his name being mentioned. craigr -
Wow! These responses have gone a completely different direction that I expected! By no means, did my posts intend to express my dissrespect for LEOs! I have a now retired LEO from the Chicago area in the family that I have always and still do look up to. Hell, I've bought doughnuts for the LEOs in line at the local 'Kwiki Mart' in the mornings, just as my way of saying 'thanks'. If my health would have allowed it, I would have been a LEO in a second!. I honestly didn't know that LEOs took speeding as a personal attack on them. I certainly never intended it that way!! I have always thought of it a a game between LEOs and the public. (Remember, as per my previous post, 95% of the time I do the speed limit). I have NEVER nor NEVER WILL be angry with any type of LEOs for catching me doing something wrong. As for the answser to my 'who do you stop?' It looks like I was ALL WRONG and that I would have been the one to get stopped then laughed at by my fellow riders. And, I would have graciously accepted my punishment from the LEO. Don't get me wrong, I would have been angry - but with myself, NOT the LEO! If my question offended any of you LEOs, PLEASE accept my apology. It was nor never will be my intention. craigr

Would soaking them work? After reading this thread, I am almost afraid to put mine on. craigr -
