Oh come on, I had my 07 with the speedo burried for quite a ways and still had plenty of throttle left. Other tan wind noise, it felt like I was doing 60. Craigr

The guy in the video is a little long winded, but it looks like a very well designed system. I have a Bushtec Roadstar trailer, (much smaller), that I plan to hang by the tongue. According to my Trailer Dealer, that is how they are shipped. I plan the electric winch, then just pull it up the wall, then secure it with a chain to take the weight off the winch. Of course I have been planning to do this since last year when I bought the trailer. craigr

I just did the Google Earth Street view and don't see Westlake at 50th & G. Is it in the Plaza on the West?

Mike, Thanks for the info and offer of the tools. I have been looking for an excuse to buy a tap and die set for years, so I will be heading to Harbor Freight tomorrow. I will give the store you mentioned a try today after work. craigr

I also need to pick up a set of 'easy outs' for the broken one. Is Harbor Freight okay for something like that? I DON'T want to break one off trying to get the bolt out.

I briefly thought about doing just that, but one of them is Chrome and they have the Allen Wrench head, so I want them to match. I doubt a hardware store would carry something like that, right? craigr

My Passenger stepped on the Left Foot Rest to get on the Bike yesterday and snapped one of the screws and bent the other. So, I have to drill out what's left of one and replace both. Is this something most dealers will stock or should I just go ahead and order online. If onliine, do any of you have an idea who to go thru? I've ordered from Dennis Kirk and others for accessories, but not for something this simple. I doubt they would carry such items. craigr

Well I just received mine in the mail. I'm anxious to give it a try. Sadly it's going to rain all day. Hopefully tomorrow? Craigr

Yes you can print from the iPad. There are a few programs on the Web that says you can do this. - I haven't downloaded them to try them yet though. craigr

One thing that always worries me about carrying such high dollar toys is the vibration. I had a cell phone go out on me once and I figured it was from carrying it in the windshield bag on my Venture. I now carry it in my pocket. So, when we take the iPad with us on the bike, I wrap it in a plush bath towel. - Am I being too cautious? craigr

I forgot a couple of other gripes I have about my iPad - You have to use their iTunes to do any file management and it has no USB ports. These haven't been a HUGE deal, but still kind of a pain in the back side. And, the price!! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the iPad, but they are waaaay overpriced. I'm guessing the price will come down after the competition comes out with theirs. craigr

What I mean by an iPad not being a Full computer is that it seems to be more of an 'end user' machine. I doubt you could write code, manipulate pics, etc. With it. Craigr

Have you thought about an iPad? I have always talked down Apple but once I saw the iPad in an Apple store, I fell in love with it! I did my 2 month research & cooling off period then bought one. It does almost everything I want, and is great for trips on the bike. The battery is MUCH better than any laptop I've heard of and going online with new networks is flawless! The only thing I don't like is no Flash Player support, which sucks for some web sites. at home, I haven't touched my PC in a couple of months. It's NOT a full computer, but is great for the web, email, games, pics, movies, etc.. Craigr

Well it finally happen!

Isn't this why they dropped the speed limit to 55mph in the 70s? -
Which sizes do you run then? craigr

If you think your personal information is private, I think you are being nieeve. If someone works hard enough, they can find out just about anything about us. The key is to not put it out there to find easily. On all sights, including this one, I never use my correct birthday. I also sometimes use variants in my name or how to spell it. It's kinda funny to see how much comes back in adds with the wrong info. sometimes I even recognize where the info originated from. Craigr

I am ready for new tires on my 07 Venture. I have decided to give Wide Whitewalls a try. - The wider the better. I currently have Avon Venoms and are very happy with them, but Avon doesn't make them in WWs Do any of you have a suggestion as to which WWs to go with? I also read somewhere on here about going with a narrower front tire for improved slow speed handling. So that is a possibility also. Craigr

So what is the purpose of a crotch rocket on the street?
craigatcsi replied to 1 Canuck's topic in Watering Hole
Right or wrong.... Isn't blaming the bike for how someone rides, kind of like blaming the 'Assault Weapon' for someone using it against Innocent people? craigr -
Do you have any pics to share of your wife 'detailing' your bike?

craigatcsi replied to 1 Canuck's topic in Watering Hole
Adrenaline Rush!! I am soooo glad they didn't have them in the late 70's. I rode dumb enough on the power-houses of those years. I rode a friends 600ish cc crotch rocket a few years ago and it was very light in the front end. I had no trouble bringing it up! If I were single with no family, I would like to have one to abuse for awhile. But, I would do it on back roads or a track or someplace where I wouldn't put other drivers at risk. craigr -
My wife is too busy with the Laundry, Cooking, House Cleaning, Yard Work, Grocery Shopping, etc.. to clean the bike too. She griped because she had to help wax the bike one time. And even then, she didn't do a very good job. craigr
