Place around Montgomery, AL back in the early 90's had 100's of crosses across his property. Gossip mill said his wife had been run over. Place gave me the willies as does these pictures. Never been back, don't plan on going back, have no pictures!!

I remember being 22, full of wisdom, turning to my girlfriend and mentioning that her brother and his wife, at 27, were OLD! My God, I did not realize I would be eating those words from then on! I'm still trying to find that wisdom. I know its here in this forum, somewhere!????!

It was a jig I made from scrap lumber on the jobsite! Helmets never did make it! I lost mine off the back of my bike and my girlfriend bought a new one. I resemble the smart**s comment!!! How do you know me so well?!

I bought a trailer used then spent a winter renovating it. She was stripped to the individual parts, welded on a longer tongue, added more cargo space, repacked the bearings and repainted to match my bike. Like you, I had to get someone to do the welding. It was a great winter project and I loved watching her come together. Upon completion found out I had the tongue weight to heavy. With the help from Brake Pad and a heavy duty trailer hitch that issue was resolved. Since then I have traveled most of the US and half of Canada with her. She made it to Don's Maintenance Day in Ohio last year and I plan on heading to the International Rally with her if I can get the time off this summer. I love my trailer and it has done everything I asked of it. I learned a lot during and since the renovation. The best lesson has been the support and wisdom that this site offers. Everyone is more than willing to offer help, encouragement, and sometimes criticism to keep us safe. SO JUMP IN!!

Very nice job there! Been wanting one myself for a while and after catching a thread from Eck realized that I didn't have to donate an organ to get one, via fleabay. Wondering if that waterproof handle bar mount will work with a streetpilot c550? Probably not but worth asking!!

My ex wife got broken into once! She evidently was having a spat with her boyfriend who had gotten caught drilling the next door neighbor. She kept pestering him via the phone and he had threatened to break in if she did not stop. When she asked me for advice I told her to file a report. Why do women ask your advice only to ignore it? Cops told her that if she had of filed they could have done something but unfortunately it was her word against his. I could not really be angry with the guy. The only thing he had done was cut her phone cord into little tiny pieces!! But back to your story. the pictures reminded me of what she told the cops when they mentioned that he really trashed the place. She looked around a little confused, the house looking its normal cluttered, unkeep, disared, mess and then, light bulb going off in her head, replied "yep he sure did!!" Yep, Godlover, he really trashed your garage!!

I was looking at the aqua boxes by RAM http://www.ram-mount.com/CatalogResults/PartDetails/tabid/63/partid/082065077045066045049052057090045065081054085/Default.aspx but I think the streetpilot is a little to thick for em?!

Just finished the latest Road Runner mag at Books A Million. Interesting article from the host who is originally from Europe. Her and her husband started coming to the US on mc excursions starting with US1 from CA to WA. They liked our country so much they relocated and started the mag. Their children have grown up being serious riders and one has died from a tragic auto accident. Love the articles and the quality of paper and pictures!

Cool! Learning all kind of interesting things!! Can that screw be access without removing carbs? If I follow the schematic correctly the screw should be facing inside? I'm gonna go investigate just looking for some pointers here. Thanks!!

Here is what I'm looking at!

Earl I have a somewhat similar picture in my Clymer Service Manual. After looking at yours I pulled up the Yamaha Service Manuel I had downloaded. Neither manual show a drain plug or hose!?

Really like skydoc_17's idea here unfortunately picture does not jive with my 2nd gen carbs! Anyone got a picture of drain screw? Can you access one without taking parts off?

Got mine from Popeyes this year! Precooked and spiced real nice!! Like experimenting with something a little different each year. Last year I tried frying one in oil and that turned out nice but it was such a chore. Next year I should be ready to try traditional again unless someone post an interesting alternative?!

Ride er to work each and every day and fill up at the station that has no ethanol! I won't even put that in my lawn mover!!! Like the idea of draining the bowls. Is that something easy to access?! Thanks everyone!!

Thanks everyone I'll give the seafoam a try! Then I might try adjusting the floats (maybe). I know V7Goose wrote up a article here somewhere about that. I guess its time to stop being intimatedated by this carbs!!

Seems for Thanksgiving I got a gas leak! Yhea me, I was wondering what to do on this one good day off!! Upon starting the bike I find fuel dripping off the front left engine guard up near the wheel. Pulled the tank cannot see anything and believe I finally will have to pull the airbox for the first time and search around the carbs (virgin territory for me)! Any thoughts or experiences with this?!? Could really use some guidance here! Happy Thanksgiving All!!

Congrats! Personally, being allergic to marriage, I like seeing, or hearing, anyone who can be happy after so many years of that condition and consider it a blessing!! Again congrats!!

Florida Panhandle hotel/condo -suggestion?
1joeranger replied to Mike G in SC's topic in Watering Hole
Hilton at San Destin!!! Right across the street is Bay Town Wharf which is on the Bay side! Plenty of shopping, etc. If you drive from Destin toward Pensacola try 399 from Navarre Beach to Pensacola Beach. A little remote and very scenic! While at Pensacola you might be interested in the Navel Aviation Museum. One of the very best! -
