  1. I'm looking for 3/8 to 1/2 inch thread dia. The application is super secret... at least until I can make it work!
  2. Like the bottom item in this photo... http://gallery.me.com/k1oj/100179/hinge/web.gif?ver=13037789650001
  3. Not very descriptive, am I? Picture a length of all-thread with a single pivot pin in the center that allows it to angle 90º either direction like a hinge...
  4. That's a new one on me... You don't notice it when you lean back? You humming real loud to the music? I got no clue...
  5. I am trying to identify a bolt with a pivot pin in the center that allows it to hinge 90º either direction. What's it called? I can't seem to find them... Any help?
  6. Sounds like wind buffeting to me. Try changing the position of your head... no smart remarks now... scrunch down in the seat, lean forward, lean back, see if it changes. Also see if you can feel where the air flow is coming from with your hand. Most times it is coming up just above your knee. Do you have the lower wind deflectors on the front? How about the lower deflectors on the faring? Are you running a short wind shield? I had the same problem with a Road Star I once owned. Took me forever to find and correct the air flow problem. Of course, I could be completely off track...
  7. Is it time for a group hug?? Where's Boomer??! :rotf:
  8. Dave, I stopped by today to drop off my 'non-battery charging low rider' and saw them diligently working on roxie... There is still hope!

  10. Working as Motorcycle Marshal in MS-150 this weekend. Saturday after a long day of herding 'cats', my bike showed signs of a dead battery. Volt meter showed 10v on battery. Had been running about 200 miles at slow speed/low rpms. Jump started bike and headed to the freeway for some normal riding. Battery replaced a week ago just as preventive maintenance. Shut down all accessories and lights. Running at speed showed about 12v initially but continued to drop. Decided to make a run for home, about 100 miles. Made it home, battery voltage at only 8v. Guess the stator or regulator has failed. Off to the dealer for warranty repair on Tuesday. Horrible I was unable to participate in the second half of the MS-150...

  22. Spent the day cleaning up the electrical connections under the seat. Over the past two years I have added plenty of electrical items to the bike and just 'hacked' them in using crimp splices and such. I was having an intermittent failure with the brake lights so I figured now was a good time to do it. No 'before' photo because it was just too embarrassing but here is an 'after' photo. Also put in a new battery. http://gallery.me.com/k1oj/100024/IMG_2312/web.jpg?ver=13018627720001
  23. One 3 1/2 inch please. Owen
  24. I have used the Q2s for about 2 years. I originally got them for use with a Yeasu FTM-10 bluetooth capable ham radio. It gets a lot of use. When using the headset with the ham radio, I only got about 4 hours of battery time. The radio keeps both channels open constantly. When not using the ham radio, my wife and I could easily run all day with the intercom on and listening to the gps mp3 player via bluetooth. Not too bad. The audio quality is not as good as the wired intercom, but completely useable. I gave up on them because of the high amount of ham radio usage and not wanting to carry and extra with me to have a freshly charged battery. I went a more expensive but infinetly more useable direction for the ham radio and went with the wired system. I am much more satisfied with the current setup and system integration. If you are only making 5-6 hour runs, you should be fine. In two years of use I have noted no charge life degradation of the units.
  25. I have photographic proof that Thom has done it... don't know what size the trailer was though...
