A road star stand is what I used. The bolt hole is smaller. Check carefully for the correct size to drill it. I believe it is 12mm. It is much better than the original but some say it needs to be even a bit shorter. It works for me.

One other thought... I have seen these antennas installed incorrectly. There is an insulating washer that is supposed to be above the chrome mount so the center conductor of the coax is isolated from the ground. If you install it below the chrome mount, the center conductor is grounded and can also cause your problem. You can disconnect the coax from the meter and using an ohm meter, check for a short between the center conductor to ground. do this with the antenna unscrewed from the mount.

Three possibilities... 1. The meter is connected backwards. Easy check is to place switch in swr position and see if it goes higher than in the set position. 2. Meter is not designed for 27mhz (CB) frequencies. 3. Open coax to antenna or bad antenna. Most radios have a safety circuit that will not allow transmitting into a bad/no antenna and will drop the power very low to prevent damaging the transmitter.

Rear end noise when backing or pushing

I will add that cleaning and lube where the pins insert is also recommended. I found that a 20ga. shotgun cleaning brush and wd40 does a great clean up job. -
These are the only two reports I can find on the fatalities... State Highway 105 between Willis Waukegan and FM 1484 is closed. The small amount of rain we had brought the oils out on the road. It appears a pickup truck slid crossing the center line striking a group of motorcycles head on. There are two fatalities. It will be closed for several hours. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a double fatality crash in Montgomery County this evening, officials said. According to the DPS officials, two motorcycle riders were killed about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday when they were struck near Cut and Shoot by someone in a pickup truck. They were hit while riding with a larger group of motorcyclists near State Highway 105 near Willis Waukegan Road. It wasn't immediately known if any of the other riders were hurt, DPS officials said. The investigation is continuing to determine what caused the pickup to hit the motorcycle riders. The road is expected to be closed for several more hours, DPS officials said.

So... I was walking down the road the other day and noticed, out in the middle of a corn field, Boomer's brother and two pigmies fishing. Dangdist thing I ever saw! A little further down the road I pass Boomer and stopped to tell him about his missing pigmies and his brother standing in a corn field fishing. He said 'yea I know, their not too bright, I'm on my way to get my boat to save them before they drown!' ...

Only problem with shifting I have had is when the shifter mounting bolt was loose... -
There has been lots of discussion about these crash guards. Some feel they should bend back, some feel they should be more rigid. I personally believe they should be more rigid. After installing the braces, I went to a Ride Like A Pro class. I laid the bike on its side several times and the crash guards did not move at all. I vote for bracing them.

I just recently wired my bike for the trailer connection. I upgraded the trailer lights to leds and used the Hoppy Led compatible 5 wire/4 wire convertor. All lights function normally including the 'back off' brake light flasher, emergency flashers, and turn signal auto cancel. I don't know what the difference might be that is keeping yours from working correctly. The only thing I changed was running the white ground wires directly to the connector and did not rely on the frame for grounding...

The generally bend back toward the floorboard.

If you have long legs, you can sit on the seat and push it with your foot. I used a pry bar like this. Now with the carbon1 braces I don't have to any more. http://gallery.me.com/k1oj/100024/IMG_2389/web.jpg?ver=13048254680001 http://gallery.me.com/k1oj/100024/IMG_2391/web.jpg?ver=13048254610001

Yep, several times. I use a crow bar. They are really flimsy. I put on a set of the crash bar supports and now they are rock solid.

Multiple vents in the windshield? Should you be concerned about weakening the shield by removing so much of the original structure? Just wondering...
