Now I know why it costs so much..

Well shucks, still no pictures.... Fuzzy -
Ok, 25 minutes to work and then 25 back home = 50 minutes per day x 5 = 250 minutes divided by 60 minutes = 4.16666666667 hours of riding back and forth to the job and parking in the State Hwy Garage at work and then back my garage at home. Hours sitting in garage during work week = 24 hrs per day x 5 = 120 hours minus 4.16666666667 riding to work = 115.33333333 hours sitting in garages. Conclusion to this ma-ham is this. The bike gets more rest than I do.

You can polish mine at Freebird's maintenance day next yr Tom. Fuzzy

Decided to Rest in the middle of an Intersection
FuzzyRSTD replied to BradT's topic in Watering Hole
Yes, I would get right on that Brad, ASAP. Do not talk to the individual yourself. Let the insurance company talk to the fart brain and make sure they know you have witnesses. Also tell them what happened after you went down, the part about him going on and the older gentleman taking action to get the license number. Still glad you are doing OK. If you never get any kind of settlement, at least you might shine a little light on the whole thing for the fart brain and save some else or even his life. Still Frustrated Fuzzy -
Glad everything is back up to par Don. Myself, like the others, was really worried about all this. I thought, man did I forget to pay my dues or something. Trying not to be to nosy here, but just wondering what you do on the job Freebird ? I know you travel a lot. But what is a Field Tech's job ? Fuzzy

Decided to Rest in the middle of an Intersection
FuzzyRSTD replied to BradT's topic in Watering Hole
Ya, confused here to. I am glad your OK BradT . Someone/police officer should have a least looked the young gun up and give him a good talking to at least. I have done this myself while flagging around home here. I work for the state hwy department and have had a few instances where the person on the other end would run our work zone and I would stop them and talk to them on the other end of the traffic set up. Most are young or either older people. Seems that this does at least get some attention from them. Maybe save someone else's life next time. Stuff like this causes me to get really upset. I see this all the time at work, whether in the summer while mowing the right away or in the winter during snow and ice removal. People seem to think they are invincible, while putting others in dangerous/life threatening situations. Frustrated Fuzzy Fuzzy -
Project bike

Nice ride, like someone else said, would you want your money back and some boot. We like pictures around here, and somewhat of a rule stating that we really like to see pictures with the progress. Also if you have questions about a certain area or part, include a picture and this will really help the others to help you. Also goo idea to put your bike/bikes information in with your profile or signature, so everyone will know what you are working on as your thread lengthens and others post. You came to the right place to get help. I wished you lived a little closer, so I could offer some help in some way. These find mechanics, and like me, shade tree mechanics, can get you fixed up. Welcome to the site and hope you get her done soon. V7Goose is one that has helped a lot, with many good articles and pictures to help you out. Be for warned that Goose is just very straight up and will answer you just as he sees it, period. I like this about him and he is a great help around here. There are many, many, good mechanics by trade here and have their own business. Yet they always offer their help here. I do not want to just pick out one person here, but Goose has helped me a lot and I have met him personally and feel as if I can pick on him a little bit. A VERY GOOD BUNCH OF PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE. I am glad I belong to the VentureRider.org, thanks to the boss Freebird for a great site. Fuzzy -
No, they only pivot up to let you through some tight places. Once set back down, there is a stopping point and they do not move past that point. They do not spin in any way after tightening them down. You may adjust them to suit your fancy. I have mine set so that my feet and heels sit flat on the boards. They have never moved once after I got them adjusted. You would want to adjust them while you where wearing your riding boots. I found this out the hard way because I first adjusted mine with my work boots on. I had to readjust for my harness riding boots. These boards are made of some sort of aluminum alloy. The mounting studs are steel and chromed. Fuzzy

Very nice bikes. I would trade for one in a minute if I could. But I have missed something here. Why call them M&M ? I have always wanted a white or even better, an M&M bike.

Very Well Said. Thank you friesman, my thoughts as well. If I have trouble, I hope you or someone like you, may stop by to check on me. Fuzzy

Don't blame you a bit Mell. I would have done the same thing and I am 47 yrs old. I just did not even think of pictures with bike. My imagination and assuming things has gotten me in trouble several times. If you do not believe me, then ask my wife. My wife seems to think that everyone can understand her with only bits and pieces of the puzzle. "You should be able to figure the rest out on your own", she says.

I did that to, but no such luck here. It died after one small use. Fuzzy

Ok Mel, got you some pictures. Fuzzy
-
Ok Mel. Sorry I misunderstood. I will try and get that done tomorrow evening for you. It never even crossed my little mind at all that you wanted bike pictures, my bad. Fuzzy
-
Ya me too. I would try to found out about the where about of the bike afterward. Someone here might want to buy it or you could maybe buy it yourself, probably from an auction maybe. I do not know exactly how that works. Fuzzy

Mel, you can see it as soon as you click on the link I posted. But I added picture anyway, because I know we have rules around here. They look kinda cheap, not really chrome look, but kinda aluminum like. I was worried that they would just rust badly, but they did not. And here is a picture just for you too. :thumbsup2: Fuzzy

Ya that. Man Tom, I feel for you. I have gotten that junk on me in the past (20 yrs ago) and I found out that you do not want to get this stuff on you. I have used it many times since and I always am very weary of that stuff. It will absolutely ruin your close too. Acetone might take it off, but I doubt it. Fuzzy

Someone/several have ask about these. I have had these on my bike and they work great. They are more like a floorboard and are comfortable. They adjust in two directions too. They also fold up for to allow you to get in close places. There cheap compared to other foot rest. I have had them for two yrs now and they work and look great. Not covered in rust as I first thought they would be. I ride in rain and wash my bike with water and then blow it off with a $25.00 electric leaf blower from Wally World. Update : I called JC Whittney and talked to customer service specialist. She looked up all the product Sku # difference in the two and they are exactly the same. So why is the price difference I said. Her answer is that the price changed with another factory order and they never changed or updated it on the Webb site. So order this and save $10.00 , Fold-up Highway Floorboards for Harley-Davidson SKU #:1JA 019631 Mfr. #:019631 Ships on 08/29/11 Set $39.99 http://www.jcwhitney.com/fold-up-highway-floorboard-set/p2006697.jcwx?filterid=d17361y2007o60j3 Fuzzy

Possible New Venture Owner
FuzzyRSTD replied to rcbimmer's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Well Goose is spot on. I love my bike. Fuzzy -
Yammer you have paid your dues and been patient. Time to send him on. Get your moneys owed and set a date when you want it in hand and have something typed up for him to sign. Include your start up moneys and what is owed to you and tell him to get it now. Go ahead and type it up and have it ready and have a witness/neighbor come over and sign if possible, or call the law and have them present. It is that simple. Life is to short for all this nonsense. :thumbsup2::thumbsup2: Fuzzy

The brackets are made and sold here in the Classifieds section (or was). I think I saw a set of Harley pipes for your bike with the brackets in the classifieds here, the last time I looked. The fellow was wanting to possibly trade for the OEM pipes. Classifieds is at the top of the page in white small lettering. I have Roadhouse pipes on my bike and like them very well, it sounds like a Corvette on steroids, I have been told. Fuzzy
