  1. May God give you comfort, that only comes from him. May all the family be comforted in this time of sorrow. Fuzzy
  2. The brake pads; http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=61475 Maybe the fluid change, at least the one I found quickly in the Tech Library, looked neat; http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=10517 Monty is from TN, but do not know his location from you. He might be able to help you out with the sync for a small fee.:mo money: Fuzzy
  3. You must have roots here in the hills. Cause I really, I do really, know what ya mean. You been to the Smokey Mountains / Comedy Barn lately ? Cause I heard something like that there, the last time I visited that part of the mountains. Fuzzy- Proud Hillbilly

  5. Yes, I agree about the riding, but not Ale 8, I can drink it. Although not my favorite drink in the world.
  6. Yes, correct for all. Yes, and so many give in to that. But not me my friend. Friesman1, did you call the law and make records of this ignorance ? I am hoping you did, and if not you should. At least maybe others will be on the look out for these morons. Also if something further comes up, then you have reported it. Fuzzy
  7. I am from KENTUCKY where everyone pulls over to let a funeral procession pass. We don't have fireflies, we got "lightning bugs". "Taters" are mandatory while shoes are NOT. Chicken is fried. Biscuits come with gravy. Ale-8 & sweet tea are the house wines. You can hear your daddy whistle a mile away, Momma says grace over every meal, & "neighbor" means more than just the house next door. We're proud of our roots, & we never disrespect our elders! Fuzzy
  8. Shame, what is next ? Hope you catch these morons. So disrespectful, and the bad part about it, it is not all the kids fault. The parents let them run wild with no discipline nowadays. If I caught or found out who they where, the first thing I would do is to pay a visit to the parents. Sorry for your lose here. Glad it was small damage. Disrespectful bunch anyways...... Aggravated Fuzzy
  9. Well as I did not see your bike model and make in your signature or profile at page, I checked your profile at your profile page and found that you have a 2007 model. Not meaning to rob this thread and all, but had to notice about the oil leak at the head. I had this same problem. The 07 model had a recall per my mechanic Boone at Jackson,Ky Motor-sports. I bought the bike at Ashland,Ky and did not trust the dealer mechanic there. The recall said that all dealers should have this particular 07 model head bolts torqued to specs before customer left with the bike. Some of this model got out of the factory with out the head bolts being properly tightened. My bike was fixed and no other problems. If the leak starts before the bolts are torqued, then all that can be done is to replace the gasket to fix properly. My bike was returned with in two weeks. Glad you found your problem Rick. But I have to say that I sure would like to hear one of the mechanic goroos to chime in and explain how this fixed your rough running problem. That is odd, and thanks, I will check my bolt/screws in the cap. Fuzzy
  10. My friend and I came up with a very good idea. I have mine finished today, I did the sanding and painting myself. I tried it out, I ran 65 mph once while flying the 3'x5' flag on a six foot pole, no problems, very very strong build. This will work fine right in your existing 1 1/4" trailer hitch or just add yourself a trailer hitch to your bike and this will work great. Took us a few days to work every thing out, the correct angle, the length, proper placement on the bike and so on. Works wonderful. These units would work great for any motorcycle. There is also room in the flat steel area to attach a sticker of your choice (left & right side), that is what I am going to do. I thought I would post this, because of all the hard time I had finding ideas and such and looking for one for sale. I found nothing in this price range and I am just wanting to share this and possibly help some other Patriot Guard Riders out. I will have these in the Classified section ASAP for all, with PayPal options and so forth. Thank you, Fuzzy
  11. Thanks Shannon. I thank God that Ponch is doing somewhat better. Prayers for Ponch and all of you. Also for those dealing with the huge awful fires, I have been following this on the news. So many have lost all they have (1,400 homes and counting). I feel sorry for all those affected in Texas. James
  12. Condor, with all them horses in the stable, you really do have a back up, Besides the V-max final. Nice twins there in the pictures you have in your profile. Fuzzy
  13. Ya that :rotf::rotf:
  14. Ya, that. Glad you had a great time Abnormalwon.
  15. Wow Condor, don't know if I would trust that ammo, assuming it is that old. Lets see, I am 47 yrs old and I was born in 1963, so 2 minus the 47 leaves 45. Wow, 45 yrs old....mmmmm. What caliber was this ammo ? 223 or 30/06 ...... You ought to mail that receipt in to congress, along with a few 100 thousand signatures .....:rotf: Fuzzy

Thanks for posting this. That was something to watch. Someone mentioned "Orville and Wilber would have loved this." I was thinking the same thing. Awesome, yes a once in a life time thing....... but not me. I could feel the jitters in my stomach and still do as of now. For me I would rather be on two wheels, and well,,, feeling allllllmost..... the same thing, and I do not have to have a pilot license or jet fuel. Wowww.....that is plum crazy man. Fuzzy
  17. Lucas gear lube, fully synthetic. Pricey at $12.00 a bottle (75-90 weight I think it is), but a bottle will do several changes. I trust this brand, as I also trust Yamaha engine oil. I also like what Wes said about the butter bean (about a teaspoon full I think) Honda Molly dolop added. Good idea, maybe. I duno ........... Fuzzy
  18. Thinking and praying for you all and Ponch. This update was good, although hard for me to take, learning a little more of his condition. My heart cries out for you. Continue with faith. May God bless you all richly. Fuzzy
  19. Yes, me too. The vendors have enough to take care of anyway. If it is easier for them, then great. I would also definitely keep a copy of an add on my lap top if I added one. What bothers me the most is this, some that have adds do not upgrade them sometimes to let you know the product is sold already. Seems to me that if you where selling and sitting at the computer, you would just delete it completely. I know nothing much about this, but I think the seller should be able to delete with a delete button and it would completely be gone. Thanks Don for what you do here. Fuzzy :thumbsup2:
  20. Ya, me too now. Since Ponch and I added the center stand. Makes life easier when changing oil I suppose. Matter of fact I have not used it yet for that. I used the Carbon one lift adapter before. The last time I used my bike lift, with bike level. But I always put in the recommended oil amount per manual. I did look the last time, and to the best of my knowledge it was good to the glass level. I noticed a day later when changing antifreeze before I went to Maintenance Day at Freebirds. But according to Freebird he uses about 3 1/2 U.S. QT sounds like. Is your bike showing level at site glass line or very slightly above as mine ?
  21. Yep, just what Slab_Ryder said. Are you changing your oil filter ? Good idea to put your bike information in your profile or signature, that way you do not have to tell everyone every time you post. I would say that the oil needs to be checked at the glass with the bike sitting on its own wheels. It was designed to be checked that way. Just my 2 cents. The tech library has a good post in there for the fluids and all specs of these bikes also. I did look and made sure this was correct. Fuzzy
  22. Not robbing the thread here, just curious of the mileage you get ? I guess these would be the RSTD of the Goldwing style ?
  23. Nice, so glad your happy. Makes a man feel good when he spends his hard earned money for these things. Now you are making me,,,,nay I love my RSTD. Does this bike have the built in music and some of the electrical goodies ? James
  24. I have never ridden one, so what ever this might be worth. I was told when looking around, that the Valkyrie Interstate was really wide and uncomfortable in that way. Kept you spread way out sorta of speak. So please take a ride before you buy, and let us know what you think. Nice looking bike.....
  25. Yes, I understand Yammer. I got a few guys from work to pour the concrete for my garage floor. I had been through an operation on my knee at this time and was on crutches. I had first gotten a quote from a good contractor, while waiting on my request from the guys at work. Well the contractor gave me a good quote without even looking at it, just used my figures for the size and gave me the ballpark figure. Well $500.00 was not to bad from the guys at work for the labor, even though they really did not want to do it. I went with them and now I wished that I had got the contractor. The job was OK, but I am sure it would have been a lot better from the contractor after all was said and done. I would go with a reputable big guy on this. Don't buy the goat either, just get the big guys to come take a look and weed eat a little just before they come over. James
