  1. Could you give me the exact link to the free CC Cleaner. I downloaded from the other link given here and it is wanting me to register CC Cleaner after the scan. Then wants $30.00 or so for the Cleaner. ???????????????????? I wished I could get you to clean this up and set up like yours.
  2. Thanks......
  3. Neat video. Thanks.
  4. My riding friend JD Holbrooks and I have thought about it. But we have heard so many close call stories from others, that we decided not to try it. Rode past it three times in that area. We hear that the crotch rockets will run over you. Did not know about the tractor-trailers. Hope they are banned from that stretch of road. Just like the article and being a truck driver myself, I figured every curve was a "Hope no ones coming." Thanks for this useful thread. Fuzzy
  5. I saw it a coupe of nights ago to Freebird. I agree, a "re-inventor" in deed. And a long with some bad illness in his life to add to things that he had to live with as he progressed. I saw that he did, "go out on a limb", sort of speak, at least twice. Takes courage and and lot of knowledge to be able to that and come out winning. Fuzzy
  6. I also did the small blind spot mirrors. Bad idea, they do not work as you think. Just as you say, takes away mirror space and way to hard to see out of the small boogers. Getting larger mirrors. I have been looking at these, any one else have these ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Royal-Star-XVZ-1300-Tour-Deluxe-new-BIG-MIRRORS-/370544836667?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item564631803b#ht_3095wt_1270 Fuzzy
  7. Saw a documentary about Steve Jobs on the Discovery channel last night. Interesting man and I did see that he contributed a lot to this world and those whom use the electronic devises that he had ideas about. Took chances and put the ideas to realistic use for many folks. I would not call him useless vulgar names,he is dead and at least did contribute. Not a senseless killer like, Ben Loddin,Saddam,Kudafy, Hitler. To much TV/media time, yes. But I have saw the poor children a lot more/years in fact. Weekends and Holidays especially. This is an eye opener for some. Glad some are helping this country. Yes, let it be known about Steve Jobs, but put the media eye on other more useful things, like starving children in our own country too. Drugs are killing family members here every day. Drugs are the very reason some children are starving here in the land of the free, the bountiful, the wonderful, the United States. Drugs are killing so many in so many ways. People do not even have any real morels about themselves anymore. It is a lost and dying way of life to respect one another and pay contribute to those that help, even if we do not like their ways. Shucks, I even show respect for the animals that I take for my freezer. I do not like all the hooping and hollering that some do on these hunting shows after they have taken an animal. Congratulations and hand shakes at camp or down at the local check station, mount a buck to hang on the wall,Yes. But do not forget about respect and honor. Let us respect our own country and learn to take care of our own children, our family and our honor, our United States Veterans. I feel sorry for those children in those other countries. Shame on their leaders and some of their ways of life for all this death. But lets take care of home first. Sorry to have somewhat vented about this. And if I have offended some, then just delete my post. But this is how I feel about this. Regards to all, Fuzzy

  9. Or I would probably land on a high voltage electric line or someone's yard swarming with PIT-BULLS. But still that is a good idea Yammer Dan, with a good light parachute MMMMMmmmmm. Thinking out loud, Fuzzy
  10. SilvrT, I can see your frustration. Wow, what a bummer. Hope you get it resolved with no more phone "Trees". A good way of explaining the upsetting process of all that. Vent all you want, I will listen. Fuzzy
  11. Thank you very much. I have already e-mailed this information to all in my contact. I also just got off the phone with the Board Of Education, left a message for the safety coordinator here. This is something that should take first priority in our schools to get this information out to people. This is really a big threat to all those on Facebook. Glad it can be turned off in the phones. I have a regular cell phone Motorola Extreme VA76r. I do not think I have to worry about this. James
  12. Thanks for this to all whom mentioned the IKEA stores. This is all new to me. I can not find a store in Kentucky. All the stores show them for $29.00. Closes store to me is here; IKEA West Chester 9500 IKEA Way West Chester, OH 45069 133 miles away. I checked out e-bay ($45.00 ). I wished I would have posted about this a month ago. I have been looking every where and did not see this. Thanks again, James
  13. Thanks Mike, I looked for that site last night forever and could not for the life of me. I saw every thing else made by them though, flooring/furniture and so on. James
  14. I noticed that too Hummingbird, just wondering when someone with the Midnight would chime in. Fuzzy
  15. I found this site and wanted to share with all. I am not sure if they make these for first and second gens, but looks like it maybe. They show the Royal Star and then the Venture ? So just some information for anyone interested. Good prices I think. I have sent them an e-mail to learn what thickness the covers are and if they are shorn sheep wool. Will update if recieve information back from e-mail. http://sheepskinfactory.com/motorcycleselection.cfm?motorcycle=3 Also here; http://www.alaskaleatheronline.com/servlet/StoreFront Fuzzy
  16. Time for a family meeting Saddlebum. That is what I do. I tell the whole family, Daughter,Son,Wife. Time to talk about a few things. Arrange a time and I tell them my feelings and what I want to be done. We discuss it and come to an agreement and that is it. It seems to even bring us closer by doing this. Listen to their side to, but stick to your guns. Fuzzy
  17. Have this seat recovered and modified. I think Rick could probably do this. You could add some gel to the seat and he can do you a good job. He can be bring you up higher in the seat or lower or whatever you need. Just give him some measurements. He also cuts the seat out to relax your tail bone some. Rick redid my stock seat and I went from sitting for 50 miles to sitting for 100 miles. Or go with http://www.day-long.com/ or http://www.ultimateseats.ca/yamaharoyalstarTD.html or http://www.diymotorcycleseat.com/other_ideas3.htm I have been checking this out for later this winter. I have not decided whole heartily yet. Some of these seats can be pricey. I have read a lot about these two seats and I believe they may be worth the money. But then again, I could redo my own and try the gel pad insert for around a 100 bucks.... Fuzzy
  18. Thanks Joe, I ride just exactly how you have explained here to a point. Glad you brought this up. Some have mentioned of where to ride in these situations, and this seems to be the safest to me also. Always with in the 2' margin of the center line, no matter what lane or side of the center line your on. For instance the Interstate (or any 4 lane divided), stay close to the center white line at all times. This is the safest for me. Glad you where not injured or worse Playboy. Have a safe trip and enjoy your time off. I think you did only what you had time to do, but after reading again a couple times to make sure I understood what you said, I would have taken the left lane. Like Joe, I always ride with in that 2' margin of the center line no matter which lane I am in. I have seen a lot of people here in my area as I am riding back and forth to work a lot, that will ride either in the center of their lane or to very far right side. Very dangerous, the traffic behind the motorcycle can in no way see the bike after one cage is behind him. I had the opportunity one day to see this on a trip to Morehead,Ky here in my own cage. The only time I will take my bike to the right in my lane somewhat is in a stop situation to keep the cages from going by me to turn right and almost run over my right foot. Fuzzy
  19. Nice.... Good set up my friend. Fuzzy
  20. I wonder what the restrictions are coming from, Canada, to the United States ? Is there DUTY fees and brokerage fees ? Just wondering...... I have always admired Canada as a country with some really good respectful border laws. Unlike the United States, no disrespect to either side. Just from what some has told to me lately, since I mentioned riding in that part of the world. I am still trying to learn more. I have talked to people whom have hunted up that way and have been ask a number of times to go up that way and bow-hunt for bear and go fishing . I do not bear hunt. But sometimes I think the United States is just to liberal with the border guidelines for anyone or place. Way,way, way to liberal or free, sort of speak. I do not want to take away from this thread here or make this a border argument. Just wondering about the shipment laws coming this way. ???? Fuzzy
  21. Wooooo , I was watching that and boom. Scared the living daylights out of me.
  22. Tire pressure, tire pressure, tire pressure. I have learned the expensive way. I do want to mention that you should always take heed to how many times you have had to lock up your tires also. I started with the factory Bridge-stones and only got 4,000 mile out of them. I first said that these tire are junk. But later learned that my tire pressure was the culprit. You must check the tires on a motorcycle offfffften. I have Avon Venoms now with 12,500 miles and the back tire is beyond needing changing because of the hard braking that I had to do twice to keep from hitting someone that pulled out in front of me. I could tell something was squirrely about my bike. There was two different places in the tire that was down to the threads. The only reason had to be the hard braking. My bike is setting in the garage on the center stand awaiting a tire. I have since read a post here about braking and got some help there also. Use the front brake more in a sudden stop. I am going to practice this. If you have not read this posted from Freebird, you need to. Fuzzy
  23. As I was reading along here I was hoping this would happen. Glad it did. I can say that I am happy you posted this SilvrT, for I had no idea and usually request UPS here for any of my packages to be received. I sent my rider-seat to Rick Butler a while back in Texas. I used UPS, the shipping was $50.00 ($25.00 for going and $25.00 for coming back to me), the charge for the job from Rick was $35.00. The package was a bulky item though. Thanks again for informing those of us whom did not know these things. Also thanks to guy whom made this a better transaction for you. That is the way I would have handled that situation. Always pays to be good to people and treat everyone as you would want to be treated. Has costed me a little extra sometimes, but the feeling of knowing I did what was right is worth far more. I once traded trucks with a fellow and the truck I traded him blew the engine just after we had traded, maybe 200 miles or so. He was upset about it and accused me of knowing something was wrong. When I heard of it, I took the truck that I got from him and the title and went looking for him. I went to his brother's house and told him that I was going to give the truck back and he could keep them both with the title in hand. His brother told me not to worry about that and do not think anything of it. He did finally talk me out of it. But if there was going to be hard feelings, then I would have gladly done it in a heart beat. Just me.....I am not bragging here, I just think this is the respectful way to do things. And I am glad there are others that believe this too. Fuzzy :thumbsup2:
  24. :sign yeah that: Thanks Fib 78, I agree. I just can not understand all of it. It is like going to a foreign doctor that you can not understand. Fuzzy
