I also have a write up/how to, to build your own flag pole that you can fly on the mount safe and secure. http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=68747 http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showcat.php?cat=34 and also an affordable cover fore your flag while in transit to or from a meeting. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=68938 Fuzzy

Good for you Monty. Best feeling in the world to be able to honor the honorable. Thank you. Hope he returns safely my friend, our prayers and thoughts are with and for you all. Please thank him for me, for serving our country. Fuzzy :thumbsup2:

Yes, thanks Fib. I been a looking at those myself. But just looking for now. I believe you could be right there my friend. That is my guess, on guess the next bike. Fuzzy

Thank you. I thought that was a no go. So I will use the m-jack then. I agree, thank you. I did see one at Don's MD, that was done that way, but it was a 1st gen. If my memory serves me right, I saw it with no rear tire and the front was sticking up like a statue and already a tire on it I thought. But I have been wrong more than once for sure, just ask my better half. Fuzzy

Is it possible to remove the front tire/wheel on a 2007 RSTD, or Venture, with using just the center stand and raising the front tire with the center stand down ? I am going to put extra bracing and such under the front of her if this is possible to do. Looks like about two - three inches of room there to get the wheel off. Just wondering if anyone else has tried it ? I have a jack and a lift, but I need to change the front and the rear. So plan to remove the front and do it and then put her on the Harbor Freight lift and do the rear, I know that works great. But never tried the front with just the center stand down, not side stand, but center stand that I put on last year. Thanks you all. Fuzzy

Eddie, that brings more to the table of discussion. Sorry for your loss. Some of my friends are closer than a lot of my family have ever been to me. Tough for you I understand, and I also understand your point made here. Just like a good bow has to fit you to be able to shoot it properly, yes you can shoot it, but I will out shoot you when the time to get-r-done comes. Cause my bow fits me and I am comfortable always, and that is at full draw. This guy has a problem when stopping, and I would not want to be pulled up beside him at a light, I would avoid that and stay back. He would even possibly damage my bike or get us both hurt. I hope he gets help and finds something to, get-r-done. Fuzzy

Bob, thanks, you said what I was feeling to. For me, Christian 33 yrs, nice group here and no problems I have saw. Hog, Probably the worst thing I ever experienced/saw was the pictures of those knuckle heads in the pond with their ends in the wrong direction. Probably killed all of Don's fish and run the POND MONSTER OFF never did figure that one out. Other than somebody must have had to much of something. . What Pond Monster ? Fuzzy

Noticed that to my friend. I was just checking back to see what happened. Good read, this is what I personally like about this site and all these people here. James :thumbsup2:

I am sure there are a lot of people here with other interest to, Condor. Thanks for sharing and just wanted to mention my other things I love to do. I did not mean to highjack your thread, just wanted to share one of my other interest. Fuzzy

Sounds like you did not get the tricky spline back in place, up front at the motor. Sometimes takes a little time and moving it in out and around to get the spline back in the U-joint. I used a wire to help one time. Another time it just went right in. You gotta get the feel for it, the spline has to be back into the yoke. Pay close attention to this thread link, do exactly as it says to get proper alignment and torque on these bolts. The bottom red paragraph is the spline alignment. But read it all if you have not. http://venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=515 The first genners can sometimes be a big help to you. A little poking for fun don't hurt that bad. Hope this helps. That is what I believe is your problem, from what you posted. Fuzzy

Got me on that one Condor. I first saw the picture and West Coast Chopper and said to myself, Condor must be rich. Then as I read and looked closer, I see you are as the rest of us poor folk. Nice models. I thought about starting a collection, but my money goes into hunting, mostly bow hunting and building my own arrows for my two Mathew MQ 1 bows and my Parker Cyclone crossbow. I aint touching this with a ten foot leg. I do not have that problem, and glad. Ya I feel for people whom have a hard time riding, I would have helped him out to. Scary feeling when the bike goes down in a parking lot, let a long in an intersection of maniacs. I let a Honda Magna get down at least to the foot peg before getting it back up. The goof ball at work had put a very small amount of grease on my right handle bar grip some time before quitting time, and as I got off in my anger, I forgot to put the kickstand back down. The next day the Foreman heard from me and the men where warned and that did not happen again. The poor guy you mentioned was probably really embarrassed to. You where probably embarrassed for him to, and probably a little scared also out in the traffic there. I know that is how I would have felt. You are right, not good when your outriggers aint on the ground. Fuzzy

Looking for an on-line tire deal
FuzzyRSTD replied to ActionJax's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I have bought all my Avon Venoms and other tires from Dennis Kirk for several years and they can not be beat for price or service. They will also match a cheaper price if you find one for the same thing, and I doubt that. https://www.denniskirk.com/frontpage.jsp Fuzzy -
I wish you the very best LilBeaver. You are way ahead of me when comes to the electrical. Hope you get it soon. Fuzzy :thumbsup2:

Thanks Gary, I am really surprised at just how simple it works. A great idea from the Yamaha people. Fuzzy

Covers for your PGR mounted flag pole flag while in transit.
FuzzyRSTD replied to FuzzyRSTD's topic in Watering Hole
Yep, I did that to sir. You can see the clips I used in the flag pole build write up I did. Put the flag in a gallon zip lock bag in the bike. Fuzzy -

Thanks ,,,, I know Twister. Fine fellow. He put a link on his store link page to my personal flag mount site I built. I heard the same thing from others about the covers. That is why I posted this up for all to see. I was surprised to come across some, especially for 13 dollars to your door. Fuzzy -
OK, thanks Dingy and LilBeaver, I see it. So EMERGENCY STOP SWITCH is what it is man, what it is...........Thanks. Fuzzy

Thought the PGR riders would appreciate these. Cheap and $1.00 shipping is nice for these I think. You used to be able to get them with the PGR logo on them and I can not find them no where any more. These are blue. http://www.ebay.com/itm/251033570852?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_720wt_1270 Fuzzy

Dingy, I can not find it, sorry. Is it there ? I am now interested just because I can not find it either, sorry ? Bank/lean sensor ? Fuzzy
-
What bike do you have LilBeaver, not in your message or avatar/signature ? I assume you have a 2001 or so Venture. I tried finding something, but no luck yet. Still looking and using 2001 Royal Star Venture. PS; I give up, no progress here, sorry. Fuzzy

Here is the Thread I promised; Making A PGR Flag
FuzzyRSTD replied to FuzzyRSTD's topic in Watering Hole
I found these on E-bay and thought PGR members might be interested. They cover and protect your flag while in transit on your bike. http://www.ebay.com/itm/251033570852?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_720wt_1270 I do not think you could make one for the price and the $1.00 shipping.
