I use USPS for all my Flag Pole Stinger Mount shipments and there has not been the first issue of several packages. I like them very well. I have even befriended the notorious monster mail man that does our route. He is really not that bad a fellow, you just got give him a while to come around. He is doing fine now and picks my packages up at the mailbox. Fuzzy :thumbsup2:

http://wingstuff.com/products/34009-vertical-trailer-hitch-for-2012-gl1800?from_search=1 I would appreciate any information pertaining to this hitch type please. I have been ask to build a Flag Pole Stinger Mount to accommodate the Goldwings type hitch in the link. If there was enough of these type hitches being used, I would consider building a few for this type hitch. There are some extra pictures to the left on the link page. This type hitch says for a 2012 model Honda GW. I have a new design that looks better and I am in the process of getting some built up tomorrow and painted. I can also build these to include the Goldwing if there was enough interest and people using a hitch of this type. If you are not using this type hitch, then please tell me what type hitch you are using ? Pictures would really be appreciated. Thank you for any information you provide. Fuzzy

Changing your own tires with hand tools. -$
FuzzyRSTD replied to FuzzyRSTD's topic in Poor Man Tips and Fixes
Thank you sir. I was not sure about the dot alignment. I was told to do that by several people. I use Avon Venoms and they do not even have a dot. My rims where balanced on a digital motorcycle wheel balancing machine the last tire change, over 12,000 miles ago. So this time I aligned the tires back up perfectly as they came off the wheel. I will soon know the outcome in about a week or so. I did call and talk to a Technician from Avon and he said to go right ahead and put the tire on in any location and it would be OK. He said the tires are manufactured so close to perfect balance that you would not know the difference. But I did line them up just as the old tires came off. If I have a problem with balance, you all will be the first to know it. Yes, as some have said, it would be easy enough to balance your own by using your axle and some short pieces of 2X4 and a couple cinder blocks. Fuzzy -
Motorcyclists aren’t Targets:How Nissan Juke Misses the Mark

Don't care for the commercial. Thanks Carl, you are right, there are a lot things in my mind that derived from commercials. The younger drivers of today have very little common sense as it is, this just gives them fuel for ignorant thoughts. Some believe they are bullet proof in their automobiles. What was Nissan thinking anyway, makes no since to me. Fuzzy- 12 replies

Thank you much. Absolutely beautiful.... I need to ride so bad. The scenery is really getting to me. I think if I am able with my left shoulder, in about a week or so more of Physical therapy, I might just get on that bike and not look back for a long time....... Fuzzy :thumbsup2:

Would some one please help me find a gentleman a reese type hitch for a 1700 Yamaha Roadstar. I found one here http://www.mchitch.com/Yamaha_RoadStar.htm This is the type hitch he wants but it is really pricey. The 1 1/4 " type hitch with stinger is what he needs. I ask him what year model bike and he has not got back to me as yet. Thanks for any and all help here. Fuzzy

Wow, what a great find Condor. Thanks for sharing this. That is what I like to see. I have never saw anything like it. From the old barn to the small garage and running, now that is what I love. How amazing it is, I felt a kid in a new toy store. Nothing I could ever afford though, but at least I got to see the beginning of some of those amazing bikes and cars. How to start a Model A ..... Thanks again.... Fuzzy

Thank you sir for this post. I work for the State Hwy Department and I see these accidents sometimes first hand also. I agree, the media is really pushing hogwash to get the eye on them. I thank God for my family and friends, my fellow riding friends and forum friends here. You mean a lot to me. :thumbsup2: Fuzzy -

I am in the Eastern part of Kentucky, and did get really dry a couple years ago. The water table is back up according to Tony Calvilier the weather guy on TV. Our lake reservoir here got so low, that the city was pumping water into it from Tygarts Creek. Back to normal and over full now. The first time I saw some of those huge, really large bails of hay, I thought that was strange. Our hay bails in square are rarely over two feet X four feet. Those large bails from out West, or where ever, are 4 or 5 feet wide X 6 or 8 feet long. Most everyone has gone to the round bails now. Fuzzy

Marcarl you would not have that problem here. Rain and warm temps so long the grass growing is killing us. Sometimes some are mowing twice a week. We had a real early spring this year. First time in many many many years. The kids did not even miss any school this year because of snow either, to warm this winter. It has rained and rained and been really warm early. Mow mow mow mow mow mow wow wow mow mow mow ..... Fuzzy

Sorry to hear of this. I did read the article and thought it was kinda odd for the people whom knew him personally to acknowledge that he was an aggressive rider. Well, big deal, I feel for him and his family. I am not going to judge a dead mans riding style because he is involved in a serious accident. I to may be involved in a n accident my first time out this year. I do know we have to always be on the look for someone or some thing being in our path, and sometimes there is absolutely nothing we can do about it. I am glad he was attending church somewhere, maybe not somewhere I would go or attend, but at least he was trying. I hope he was ready to go home. Shame on the folks that mentioned that in the news article. Had nothing to do with actual accident. It just gave people a bad opinion right up front, not good. Thanks Divey for posting. I to was worried that it might be someone from the site here. Hope not...... Fuzzy -
I have been thinking the same thing. Twenty bucks to fill the riding mower gas can, not good. That would take me many miles on Red Raven. She is almost ready for a ride. Same problem here with grass growing like wild. First time I have ever had to raise the deck up and then back down and back up next week to keep from having to rake, I hate to rake. I have been wondering why the motion detector lights keep coming on at night and causing me to get the Ruger pistol out and inspect things, it is that dog-gone grass growing. PS: I work for the State HWY Department here, and when I worked with the agronomy crew, we sprayed troubled areas of the hwy with what is called Strong Hold. The chemical will slow the grass from growing by leaps and bounds. If the public had access to this, and it was affordable, the mower business would go under. They really would, I saw and knew where we sprayed and was amazed the first time I saw how it slowed the grass from growing. We used it in areas behind the guard rail and so forth that could not be reached by a tractor, especially on I-64 . Fuzzy

Thanks Wes. The first time I have saw that. Looks like it worked, but scary. A strap on the side stand would make me feel better. I bet you had to go pretty high to. Fuzzy

Nice, glad you got some pics up Dan. So how far are you now ? More pictures would be nice with that newfangled camera.... Fuzzy :thumbsup2:

Thanks Tom. I already changed the tires with my jack and matter a fact the bike has been on the jack now for two weeks. I am going to give the wheels a another cleaning and some wax before I put the bags and pipes back on. I have only one good shoulder for now, so I am taking my good old time. I also bleed my front brakes again and I checked them the other day and they feel as if I got all the air out this time. I had put all new SS brake and clutch and throttle lines on her when I did the Flanders bars upgrade. have not got to ride it yet. I am also going to check the air filters before taking it off the jack. I told the doctor I was going to start riding with in the next week or two if I am able. He said no, butttttt. Fuzzy

Thanks Painterman67, that is exactly what I saw at Don's MD. I remember the strap on the center stand. Thank you very much. I thought that was possible, but not with a second gen though I understand. Fuzzy :thumbsup2:

I agree 100% . I carry a small pump in my bag and I will use the cigarette type electrical plug I installed on my bike to get power. I also have a center stand installed to be able to get the weight off the tires in the event of a flat and make it easier for me to plug the tire with the plug kit I carry. I carry a, 9" I think it is, piece of 2x4 to get the front off the ground. You just place the 2x4 under the front and prop the front up. I would recommend a center stand if you do not have one. Someone should start making those again for the 2nd geners if not already doing it (Larry - Carbon One) hint, hint ....... Freebird used to make them. I got my center stand and hardware bracket from Ponch, bless his heart, he is not able any more from what I gather. In the event of a flat, I as you, would replace ASAP. No use running on borrowed time I say. I feel as if two tires is risky enough any how, and also all the knuckle head cagers out there pulling out in front of me. Fuzzy
