Ya, you can box them up and strap them on the rear seat and away you go. I have done this before. I hauled a base station CB on the back seat to Ohio and back. Just turn the box longways and strap it to the top of the rear seat back or something. If you do this, please take pictures for all of us to see. Fuzzy

I have the round 1" spot and do not like them. To small an area to really see anything. The rectangle is my next choice 1" X 2" long and they are on the garage bench for me to put on. They are the wedge type mirrors. Wally World I think. Fuzzy

That is me to Bill, exactly, I also confess. My style is as yours also. I and a good friend have road right past the dragon on more than one occasion. Like you, not for me. I would rather be on the Blue Ridge Parkway, 45 mph with long scenery and the cool mountain air. I love it. I also like the long range scenery of some our flat lying country. Up around the Great Lakes was a nice ride for me this year. Michigan flat land and Indiana was nice also, especially the southern part of Indiana and western KY. We need to get together for a ride one of these days. Thanks for posting this, a good opinion to be shared. Fuzzy

They probably forgot they gave it to you Carl. Soooooo, steak on the grill this evening maybe ? Or down payment on a shiny something ? Just kidding, I am getting really bad at remembering names and other things to. I have heard it called Sometimers, but it may be Alltimers for me. If it was not for my phone and my wife, I do not know what I would do. Oh Ya, Oops ..... Fuzzy

I always buy my Avon Venoms from Dennis Kirk. They always have the best price including shipping. No problems from them at all. Also no problems with the tires either. Fuzzy

Report of a motorcycle death on the Dragon
FuzzyRSTD replied to midnightrider1300's topic in Watering Hole
My thoughts exactly Yama Mama. I do the same thing always. Since I work for the state HWY Dept. I pick up a lot of this stuff, and we do have a mind set of motorcyclist on the highways. I can not say this for all KY counties, but for Rowan county, we try our best. Also try to keep the gravel cleaned up that is spilled from dump trucks and also concrete from the concrete trucks. You would be surprised how many times we have to go out and clean concrete from the roadways. Another thing that bothers me. The state and county law enforcement do not clean the roadways properly after an an accident in my area. I have also saw this in other states. Dangerous debris such as glass and car parts left on the right of away. This should never be allowed. Fuzzy -

Prayers for the best my friend. When dealing with ones sight, an eye is a very very very precious thing. If I had to loose part of my body, I would not want to loose an eye. James

Rear trunk latch part on lid ? 86 Aspencade 1200
FuzzyRSTD replied to FuzzyRSTD's topic in Honda Goldwing Tech Talk
No Silver T , he said 86, but it looks like it had to come off a later model. I just found a schematic after looking for hours and I think it is at least a 2000 model trunk or maybe a 96 ?? But it does have that louver on it ?? I think it is called the "catch assembly" that he needs for the latch. Thanks for trying to help. I give up tonight. Fuzzy -
Rear trunk latch part on lid ? 86 Aspencade 1200
FuzzyRSTD replied to FuzzyRSTD's topic in Honda Goldwing Tech Talk
Just wanted to bump this up and let everyone know that I got some pictures today of the latch and he says he needs the parts of the that go to the left and right to grab the hasps at the top lid when closed. I added some pictures and hope this helps to explain. Fuzzy -
I almost ask the question today in a post, since I was not there this year. Thanks Yama Mama for the post and update. I guess the reporter may not have lived through all that. Poor Soul .... Fuzzy

I saw you in the pics Marcarl, I liked the Moderator shirt. That is what the MD was to me last year, a nice bunch of guys and gals helping one another. I like to have one of those Stebel air horns and the wiring and mount from Carbon One. Fuzzy

I keep really good records of my maintenance, miles, receipts, cost for parts and so forth. But no driving cost records. A very good point though and I like what I read. I have thought about a cheaper and smaller bike to ride to work and just ride the RSTD when on trips. But it suits so well, I just do not want to ride anything else. For the record, my 2009 Toyota Rav4-4 cylinder- 4X4 gets 26 mpg around home, 23 - 24 on the interstate. 1998 Chevy pick up V8 - 21 mpg 1994 Olds 98 V6 3800 - 25 mpg Bike gets 45 average always. Checked until I have decided to quit checking. The speedometer is off by 7 miles (I need to get the fix for that). Avon tires around 12,500 miles - 14,000 miles. Fuzzy

Was not there Don, but I do appreciate all you and your wonderful wife do every year. I will make plans to be there next middle of June. I hope all the regulars are able to be there next year also. Someone said they thought this was a very thoughtful and brave thing you and your wife do every year. To allow a bunch of bike riders to invade pour home. I agree, but you could not have picked a better bunch to do it with. Thanks to all whom have helped me along the way. Thanks to those whom have responded through my trying times during the shoulder surgery, of which I am still in recovery mode. Thanks to all who have purchased a flag mount from me. This gave me a very little bit of needed income, but was mostly something to try and do as I was home and felt kinda useless. It helped me a lot in so many ways to do this. Something that I am now pursuing even more. Thanks for the encouragement. May God Bless and be with each and every one of you. I hope to get to see you all next year. I wonder, did anyone get Freebird a T-shirt this year ???? Fuzzy
