I like that Indian a lot Dingy. I bet you got something of a great value and for sure of some great history. Neat to see something like that. I am sure you will restore it to be as new. Good luck and I hope all turns out well. Fuzzy :thumbsup2:

I am with you Larry........... I have to get off this thread or I will be having bad dreams of Snaggletooth (Mike) on his bike and a snake wrapped around his neck choking him to death. This is one reason why I carry a pistol, the critters of this kind and the other low life critters with two legs. Fuzzy

Looks great ...... Good job ......... :thumbsup2: -
We have power now and only lost it for a while. Some still no power, 39,000 still nothing. 96 degrees today, 108 - 106 the past several days. Some have no water either. I thank God none of our family or neighbors where injured during the rough wind storm. Still no rain, just a lot of wind damage. I am still watering my garden to try to safe it. I feel fortunate compared to a lot of others. I am blessed..... Thank you for your concern and thread Freebird. Fuzzy

Where is Ghost Rider when you really need him ????? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: Originally Posted by ediddy * I can relate to what she says. A group from a local motorcycle gang pulls into the funeral home reving their engines with loud pipes. Then when they left, one guy comes through the parking lot with his radio wide open. I disagree, no disrespect, but riding style has a lot to do with tire life, especially the rear. Try a set of Avon Venoms and get back to me in about 12,500 - 14,000 miles. Some are getting as much as 18,000 - 25,000 per set of Avons. They do all the above things mentioned here and I love the ride and mileage. However if you like to really get on it every time you take off, you are actually leaving rubber on the road that you do not even see. Run the Avons at 50 lb rear and around 42 lb front. Just my 2 cents and lesson learned over the past 30 yrs riding. A lot of other information on the site here about this also. These bikes are heavy beasts and when you take the small patch on the black top, versus the heavy weight Yamaha and hard throttle, well your tire will not last over 4,000 - 7,000 miles. And 7,000 miles is not to bad for the other brands. Again, just my thoughts and experience for me and my riding style. Fuzzy

Appreciate prayer for my brother Chris Fultz. We are very close. He got up this morning to get ready for the day and he always carries a small Smith & Wesson auto 380 pistol (we both have our CCW permits). He reached for the gun this morning and it accidentally went off and shot himself in the stomach. He rarely has the gun fully loaded with a round in the chamber. But he had loaded one in to kill a snake a few days earlier and forgot to remove it from the chamber. The bullet went in the front near the belly button and all the way and up and next to the left shoulder blade. The doctor removed the bullet from the rear near the shoulder blade. The doctor made a large size incision in his stomach. There was no vital organs damaged, other than a graze to the left lung. So God was watching over him. The worry now is recovery and that with out ammonia. He is running a low grade fever for now. I just got back from the hospital a little while ago. I was the one that was called right after 911 this morning around 4:30 AM. I lead and actually out ran the state police to my brothers house. The accident had to be treated just as a regular shooting until all was clear. I am thankful that the situation was no worse than it is. Could have been a lot worse. Please always, even when you awake and are sleepy headed, remember to respect a gun and always suspect the gun to be loaded fully when handling it. Treat it as loaded and ready at all times. My brother and I have handled guns all our lives (30yrs) and have never ever had an accident even closely related to this. So please always be careful. Guns are safe if handled properly. We appreciate all thoughts and prayers for my brother and his family. His son (15 yrs old) is in the hospital recovering from a rare lung surgery. So please remember him also. Part of the reason why my brother was so sleepy headed and careless. James Darrell Fultz (Fuzzy)

1/4 cup Vinegar,1/2 cup water and 6 tablespoons of salt, stir. Pour it slowly down to the trunk and into the ground. A few days and it will be dead forever. Nothing against trees, but one against or in the porch is not good. There is a mixture for the vinegar, water, and salt that can be used around the yard to kill grass and weeds, but will not harm larger trees. If I remember correctly, it is this; 1. One gallon of water in a spray. (Just double everything for more) 2. Cup of any kind of vinegar. 3. Three heaping tablespoons salt. 4. Three tablespoons of dish liquid, mix lightly (the dish liquid helps hold some of the mixture on the leaf of the grass and weed plant). This will need to be repeated every month to keep the grass and weeds down. But it can be sprayed around large trees and flowers and shrubs without harming them, but keeping the grass and weeds at bay. Fuzzy

Congratulations Squidley to you and yours. A good relationship is so much a part of life, it can be happy times and sad times. But always good to have a shoulder to lean on, and a shoulder offered to be leaned on. We need that in life. How does people make it through life with out a loving wife or husband ? I do not know. 29 yrs this October 29th for us, Halloween night. I hope you all have another 15 yrs of wonderful life. Ride safe and enjoy. Fuzzy :thumbsup2:

Why I won't put off life...
FuzzyRSTD replied to darthandy's topic in Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc.
I will remember your neighbor Ben in my prayers. Hope he and his family the best. Take care Andy. Nice of you to pass this along. I would always want a friend as you. Hope your circumstances also change. Life is good, and I am also blessed, for I am happy and satisfied with my income and my life. Money is not what life is all about, all though it really does help to have enough to keep the wolf at bay. Fuzzy -
I knew you would like it. Take care and ride safe. Fuzzy

Sorry to hear of this my friends. I am so glad that God has blessed me to live here. We are not even a spot on the map, but our crime has risen to. DRUGS #1 CAUSE I have my conceal to carry license and will defend my family and home until death. I do not like what has been dealt to you and your city. Our government should be absolutely ashamed. I am ashamed of their leadership, their laziness, thoughtless, carelessness, no morals. I love the United States Of America, but people, we need leaders voted in to help these people in these crime stricken areas. No excuse for any one to live in fear for their life and family. There is absolutely no excuse for this............... Fuzzy

Options is why I typed that. I have had several say to me that they would like a Flag Pole Hitch Mount that I build, but their receiver (Hidden Receiver) would not work with 1 1/4" regular type hitch. I have built some other type hitch mounts to work with some of the hidden type Receivers, the vertical type that a lot of the Goldwings use and also a Flat Vertical type to fit the Diamond R Receivers. I just have not made mention of all this yet, because I want to make sure that the hitch works perfectly for the Diamond R Receiver before I say much about it. I figure maybe that is why I got a lot of the messages about the Hidden Receivers. A member here is picking up a Flat Vertical Flag Mount Hitch for his Diamond R Receiver from me here at my home. I want to make sure it works perfectly before I offer them for sale. Like I said though, a lot of people said they wished they had a regular type 1 1/4" Receiver. That is why I typed/said that. Never was one to be very good at explaining myself in text. Fuzzy

Thanks Goose. I as you, did not feel the need to check the drive line when I replaced tires this last time at 12,500 miles. I feel a lot better about that now. I had it out at 4,000 miles and Mollied it then. So good for at least another 50,000 mile anyway. But I did grease the fingers up again, and like you said, good to do that every time a tire change is done I think. I appreciate your thread about this Goose, Thank you. Fuzzy

Nice trailer find. That would match my bike perfectly. I used to have a set of them Yosemity Sam "Back Off" mud flaps on a 67 Chevy pick up I owned. If you want to sell it sometime, please give me a shot at it first. Fuzzy
