I hate you guy's… OK my PMS is kicking in ( Post Motorcycling Syndrome ) Its just not right today was 9F in Chicago and last night drop about 6" of white stuff again tonight will be -2 with who knows wind-chill factor. Damn Al Gore what's up with this global cooling. I'm going to shoot old man winter soon if I don't get some riding.

Hey Ron, I second this. Using my iPhone 5 for everything. iTunes music , audio books, iTunes radio, Pandora all free. GPS Maps are working great, and if you are not happy, there is option to download app from Garmin, Tom-Tom or Magellan. I have Cobra Radar detector synced trough iPhone, so its beeping for speed traps. iPhone camera works great to take video during ride ( this option will cut music ) If screen size is issue, I would go with iPad handlebar mounted with RAM Mount hardware, great screen size and much more. As well you can use same devices to poke others on this site and send a pics from motel after ride. Good Luck, and say hi to your Ol" Lady.

Hey Gang, I have question for you guys who are using bluetooth option for helmet audio / intercom / bike to bike. I use to have RSV and love all bells and whistles of audio system.RSV is gone, and this days I ride Stratoliner. Thinking to retire my 15 years old modular helmet with new one. Didn't choose jet, but narrowing my selection slowly. Most of new helmets come with BT ( Bluetooth) options preset. Thinking loudly, CB is still a king of bike to bike communications. not a best, but widely used by all major bike manufactures Harley , Honda , (Yamaha) Victory, even new Indian. I can see BT has advantage for rider to passenger communication. , and audio ( no chords ), but reading reviews, they are very limited on number of bike to bike communication. GMRS is best choice about clarity, but once again ... nobody use 'em. Soooo my set up is: Handlebar mounted iPhone i use for everything ( music, GPS, camera, radar detector, speedometer ) wired in to saddlebag audio amp and handlebar mounted speakers. there is selector to choose between speakers, headphone or both. I'm using in ear headphones and helmet over, which does good job. My questions is: Do I need Bluetooth system, and whats your experience? Which model is recommended. And/or how you like J&M handlebar mounted audio / cb ( believe is JMCB2003) Any input is welcome. Best, Dan.

I couldn't say better Carbon One, it was hart attack game for both teams. Hate to see two great teams are playing in semifinals, its like finale before final. Being lucky to get free ticket for game and watch live..... priceless. it was madhouse from beginning until end. It remind me of European ( rest of the world football) Soccer championship finale game. I was lucky enough to watch live one of them back in 90's. Detroit definitely has a great team, hats down.

.. Just my 2 c. motorcycle system can not recognize LED as regular bulb. thats reason for fast flashing. Dimming cluster is sign of electrical system overdraw. I would install one of those voltmeters to give you real time feedback of charging system. Next think to do is to upgrade to hi power output alternator. We know that 2nd gen charging system is just over 600 Watts. I use to disconnect carb heaters. and change ALL light bulbs with LED's and upgrade headlight bulb with xenon one which was only 5 wats higher than original. Good luck. Dan.

For now I'm happy with my iPhone.

I use my iPhone for everything. Does perfect job for me.GPS, speedometer mapping road. iTunes, Radio, Audiobooks, internet, 100 more apps...and works like phone to. Backup is my 8 years old Magellan 2200T Waterproof 3 1/2". My next one will be iPad mini so I don't have to carry laptop anymore. For 300 bux you get way more than just GPS 7" screen is good enough even on direct sunlight. There is bunch of accessories for tablets like cradle, power cab els, and Apps. Pantech made waterproof tablet http://www.pantechusa.com/phones/element, but I'm not Android guys I think it stink as other android based devices. Just my 2c.

There is nothing wrong to go trough Chicago, Flyinfool, man, dont know how did you almost get kiled all the time going trough Chicago?? it must be two things. or you are driving like granma 35 mph on Kenedy Expressway, or you are wearing Green Bay Packers Cheese hat going trough Bears teritory :rotfl: The driving rule is to follow trafic flow. If trafic is moving 70mph in to 55 speed limit.. just follow trafic. Living and working in "State" of Chicago I would say few thinks. It's all make diference on time of the day you are riding trough. Stay away from I 90/94 in hours between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM as well, between 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM week days and round noonish on weekends. I guess that apply to any major city so rule is same. Other options are Bypass, Chicago has 2 of them I-294 and I-355 before conecting west to i-90 towards Rockford IL and IL 20 to Galena. If you are going trough Chicago, make sure to have enough gas to get to North side of Chicago, otherwise you can end up in not so friendly neighborhoods. if you run out of gas call 311 non emergency and DOT truck will bring you galon of gas for free. just to keep you moving.
