  1. Sure Lets book room Sure Dragonslayer, I have good time whenever I go. Where are other guys staying? Except KOA.
  2. I'm planing to book Asheville / Black Mountain Motel, I have nice experience last time I was there, . I get lucky and my boss die. That was cool. :hotshot: And best part was to share room with Eck. :missing tooth:
  3. You are damn right. Just Are you coming to Asheville this year ?
  4. Hey Gang, remaind me whats this year Asheville or Vogel and when. Love to book my vacation if possible. Is it PIP on schedule this year or not> Best,
  5. I second Clearview XL or Extra tall. I did go with tinted version and preinstalled vent. Vent is something must. Make huge difference in summer days directing air in to face or chest. Craftsmanship of clearview is flawless. Strongly recommended. Never have chance to use F4 so I can't give you any advice.
  6. Larry is right, forget color code of audio connectors, but most of us with audio issue use dielectric grease to lube connectors inside plug(s).
  7. Hey Cougar, I did get my from amazon after research. Ride on is great stuff. Once dealer save my used tyre to show me and there was ride on. It was really nicely spread trough center of tyre. believe somebody reported that that green stuff called Slime make mess and is ***** to clean next tyre change , if you are doing yourself, which, I don't. Best,
  8. I did patch tire with mushroom type plugs and add ride on tyre sealant. Tyre will be good until time to be replaced. Once again as somebody mention before if puncture is in path of center of tire, its safe to repair, if is close to sidewall, trash a tyre. Got a screw in my rear tyre last week, and did plug tyre on the side of the road. Couple Harley and GW riders stop to offer me a help, I was trilled with bikers solidarity for fellow biker broken down on the road. even tow truck stopes and offer air to fill up tyre faster than my CO cartridges. I do have half of bottle of ride on sealant , but not enough for Stratoliner tyre size need 12oz and Ride On is steep on shipping ($14 if you purchase less than $75 )
  9. :rotf::rotf::rotfl:

  13. NC 80 is Tail of the rooster. I remember last curve before entering BRP going from Marion is sharp uphill switchback man i got some hart bit on BRP rest stop. Looking forward to explore NC 80 again this year.
  14. Ace you are right. there is gear oil, I forget about that. I did change myself at first 600 miles service. and after that, just to be safe again at 3000 mile service. However, there is no need to remove exhaust with a little knowledge. I use old style hand oil pump and did couple refills get 'em filled up. Its a same as venture there is 2 plugs one on top one on bottom, once oil level fill up top plug that os right level. I did use AmsOil Synthetic marine grade gear oil, so next recommendation is at 70K miles.
  15. Hey Cowpuc, changing a belt on start is not road side work, but not sure it could be done on any bike without major tools. you need lift to remove rear wheel. front pulley is easy accessible under front cover. Still running stock belt. have about 40 K on bike. For oil change there is 3 oil drain plugs under block. and once you get right technology oil change is easy. For oil change I use lift to put brick under rear wheel and kickstand and than pull out lift. Nothing special. Take 5 qt and is right on money. There is not 2 separate tanks, but there is 2 oil pumps. I would recommend full synthetic oil just cuz is air cooled/ there is oil cooler to. Last week I have perfect oil change. start at 8 am 2- trips to auto zone 6 pack of beer and bunch of neighbors are supervising work and drink beer. it was all done by 1PM . well is done by me and I did clean bike at same time. So is PERFECT oil change :missing tooth: I heard about changing pulleys and belt with different # of tooth give you few extra ponies, but not my cup of tea. My start is pretty stock setup, and bike is just great out of box. There is bunch of gear heads doing mods on bike and one of best resources are start forum on delphi http://forums.delphiforums.com/n/main.asp?webtag=starroadliner&nav=start&prettyurl=%2Fstarroadliner&gid=830332819 and sister site linerwicki.com or something
  16. Hey Angel, I do have Strat since 2008 it was 2006 floor model at Chicago dealership, it was only 150 miles on clock when I got it. Great bike and almost 8 years old now, but still kick ass. Yamaha did great homework designing that machine. Very comfortable ride out of box. Plenty of power, but totally different animal comparing to RSV. There is no knowing problems with bike since 2006 model having issue with loosing front pulley bolt. Easy fix to secure bolt.Other than that is just great sound of V-Twin and still largest V-Twin engine on the market since '06. My only con's is gas tank size and once reserve kick on ... there is only 25 miles left. not big deal get use to to beast, just wish there is extra gallon. Some Harley guys complain there is not 6th gear on start, but 5th is real overdrive. Have done Iron Butt on strat, and few 6-7-800 miles day rides with no problem.it could be converted in to naked cruiser is few seconds with no tools but key. ( detachable windshield, saddlebags and backrest). Go with Avons Cobra's tires and you will be happy. DO NOTY INSTALL CAR TIRE. been there and didn't like. Getting 13000 miles on set of Avon Cobra 72. Its little wider than stock, but there is plenty of room to be installed. Yes first set of dunlop's last me about 4000 miles. Go for start you will not be disappointed. Batwing has some sweet setups for strat. or go wit deluxe model. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me. My cell # is listed in my profile. Good luck.
  17. By sunday temp will rise to 33F I'm going for ride no more waiting for me.
  18. Ha Frank there is very few of them in your area, look how may are in city of Chicago> http://www.photoenforced.com/chicago.html#.UyIHydxH1SU I did get one $100.00 pic in mail to few years back.
  19. Hey Dion, thanks for respond. No I don't need em right away. We are still dealing with snow up North I would say spring will start early August. No rush at all. Length sounds right. I Ride Stratoliner, and my female 3.5 mm stereo jack is right on the line where seat and gas tank meet. I prefer if your ends are female 5pin DIN to male 3.5mm stereo jack. I do have coiled lower cable. Let me know how you want me to send you payment. I may contact you later today and exchange contacts. Best,
  20. 12 bucks? Sold , hope there is not $19.99 shipping charges. :missing tooth: Just kidding. is is weatherproof some pics will be nice. Dan
  21. Funny, I was active HAM radio operator back in Europe has my A class license. I did have 2 radios, one was Atlas 215 DX. and other one was Yaesu FT-1000 I Love more Atlas even if was Max 100 W output, looks like whoever make that unit know what he is doing. has only 2 mode CW ( morse code ) and SSB mike. Mostly operated on 3.5, 7,14 and 21 meters frequencies. My prefix in Europe was YU1AHX 773 my fellow ham-ers
  22. Looking to convert my RSV leftovers J&M helmet speakers to use with iPhone and listen music. Don't care about mic. So I'm looking to convert helmet lover cable 5 pin male ( One you are plugging in to RSV ) to regular 3.5mm audio jack. I know edsets selling that unit, but I'm not looking to spend $70 either. Damn entire set of speakers cost as much as that converter. Or does anybody has scheme of pins and / or color code of wires so i can DIY make my own connector. I have some experience doing that.
  23. I will write review as sun as I get helmet. Helmet speakers are on the way as well. Choose to go with Iasus X Sound 2. They make some hi end speakers for Moto GP and they are known for military audio stuff. Does anybody using those guys? http://www.iasus-concepts.com/#
  24. Decided to retire my 10 years 100,000 miles flip up helmet, warranty just expired, thanks god never have chance to be crash dummy to test helmet. Its like memorabilia, I will keep'em as memory for great miles left behind. HOWEVER, on the way is new one HJC RPHA modular helmet :hotshot: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csYireQquHc]HJC RPHA Max Helmet Review at Competition Accessories - YouTube[/ame] http://www.compacc.com/p/HJC-RPHA-MAX-Solid-Modular-Helmets Cant wait.
