just to add my 2 c. Agree with others BRP is most beautiful Zen alike road in USA period. Randy did give you best description.... but wait. Blue ridge parkway is just a piece of parkways starting somewhere in Maine, official start is Front Royal VA. and entrance to national park and Skyway dr.. I would recommend you to to start your journey from Front Royal, VA. and end a day whenever you feel like. Little Switzerland just off BRP and famous rainbow trout is strongly recommended. Once you get in to NC side any road left and right is "advanced road", as well toll booth by 1Rooster.

Thank you for refreshing our memories. It was second "Best Ever" Asheville rally. Great folks, best motorcycle roads and nice to see old and new friends aging together healthy. Lot of fun, laugh and ... booze....priceless !!

Second this I usually put whole can of seafom in half or near empty gas tank run bike until white smoke start pouring out of pipes. Top of with high grade ( Octane) gas, shake bike and add another can of seafom. Top off tire pressure , hookup to Battery Tender and start a bike once a month, just to let blood circulate. you can move bike few inches just relief tire pressure points, which I never did. I use synthetic engine oil, and change only if is time for oil change by milage. Never had a problem. Don't use Stabile, that is crap, and can gunk carbs, if not used correctly. Seafoam can not do any harm to carbs nor other parts of bike, even is beneficial. Other thing is to buy heated clothing, and if weather is clear, with no ice on road , take for spin, just to make everybody else jealous and do rotation of tires.

My holly grail for motorcycling is handlebar mounted iPhone 5S. Cost same with 64 GB of memory, can accomplish HD photos and videos., GPS, phone, music, internet... and much more. There's so much mounts by Ram Mount, and its perfect on and off bike. In near future looking to integrate iPad mini to bike, now that will be full use of useful Apple devices.

Yep, well said, another "best ever" Asheville !!!! Thank you Randy and Woody, and all girls for help putting this best one together. Great roads, great family and of corse great food. Damn, did I left Asheville saturday night with heavy hart, wishing to stay there for another week, but I'm not retired jet, like some other B!tc#!! Even Yammer Dan show up his face on beautiful Second Gen. Priceless !! I would say this is best region for motorcycling ever. That Tuesday and Saturday ride are just amazing, and we even didn't touch some more "known" roads. Humping back to Blue Ridge Parkway was like going back on interstate. Well, every body is full of positive toughest, but I have one complain. There is no that many Beer drinkers, so I have to do all heavy liftings. However, there was unlimited supply of some kind of sweet tea, I believe is call Apple Paaaa as well vine and local Moonshine, just grade below rubbing alcohol. Nice Now back to reality and Work B!tc#, see ya in few Best, Dan.

flat on rear tire.... to plug or not to plug?
stardbog replied to midnightrider1300's topic in Watering Hole
Oh Man you did open can of worms here. I did plug 3 tires in the past, and all 3 times hold until natural lifetime of tire. As others said make sure is in center part of tire. I did top of with ride on tire sealant and works http://www.stopngo.com well. My opinion .... Plug 'em in babe. I use mushroom type ones Ride On tire sealant: http://www.ride-on.com/motorcycle-formula-mot.html stop&go http://www.stopngo.com -

Last time was bunch of us staying at Super 8, and it was acceptable for that price. AC was working, fridge was god, ice cubes are free and hot water and water pressure was OK. what else we need. $59 / night at Super 8 Black Mountain https://www.google.com/hotels/?gl=US&cu_link=1&h=5991923369210755199#search;l=Black+Mountain,+North+Carolina;q=Black+Mountain+NC+motels;d=2014-08-12;n=5;usd=1;h=5991923369210755199;cuh=5991923369210755199;si=995fa38d;av=d $60 / night Motel 6 Asheville. https://www.google.com/hotels/?gl=US&cu_link=1&h=5991923369210755199#search;l=Black+Mountain,+North+Carolina;q=Black+Mountain+NC+motels;d=2014-08-12;n=5;usd=1;h=10692979449436643044;cuh=5991923369210755199;si=995fa38d;av=d Looks like Motel 6 is closer to KOA, but either one is good. There is other options but close to $ 100 and up. What ya guys think?
