Hi All, We made it home about 2 this afternoon. Spent the night at the casino in Morton, MN last night...let's just say we contributed! Traveled with Tim and Debie until Sioux Falls. Quite a windy ride today. We just wanted to write to say thanks for Gary, Ann, Kris, Russ:stirthepot:, Wil and all for the work they put into PIP. This was our first experience at this and we met a lot of GREAT people, had a GREAT time and saw some GREAT scenery. I swear those trees tunred color every day. Now, it's back to the grindstone tomorrow. One good thing is that it's a short week! My husband suggested that I reply to your post as I just took a riding class this past weekend at the local dealership that sells every brand of bike except Harley (Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki). I just got myself a bike ('99 V-Star 650 Classic-hunter green and cream-I'm so proud!) Anyway, the class I took was an MFS course costing $75 for 15 hours of classroom and range riding. The bikes (250's) were supplied. Upon successful completion, you "graduate" and you are not required to take the tests for your motocrycle endorsement on your driver's license. We had a 5 minute tour of the showroom and introduction by a sales rep. and that was it! We were told the same course put on at the Harley Shop 2 blocks away was $212!! I'm glad I took the course. I learned a lot. I graduated and...I can even talk "biker talk" with the guys! Good luck and I hope your son gets as much out of the class as I did.

My wife just bought a 99,650 V-Star, her hands are small and the clutch does not release until the very end.Im wondering if I missed some kind of ajustment or is it something shes just going to have to live with.By the way this is her first bike and she is very protective of it.

how does one get an airbox cover like that,it looks awesome.

It seems the auto industry has been through this before, some 25 or 30 years ago, it seems that history has a way of repeating it self.Cant argue about the companys building the wrong cars or the unions demands,its just to bad alot of good hard working people are getting caught up in this mees.
