  1. Everything GeorgeS said. I thought my Ventures ride was OK. It would occasionaly bottom out so I knew the springs were due for a change. With the new springs the bike now sits taller, it still rides smooth but doesn't bottom out and it seems to handle a lot better.
  2. Wow is all I can say... thanks to Rick @ Buckeye Performance I just finished a Progressive spring upgrade and shock rebuild. What a difference. Only able to put about 20 miles on tonight, but so far the results are great.
  3. last month my 84 Venture sat for about 2 weeks. Apparently she was lonely and to show me she started dripping oil @ the seal of the right shock. Just a small leak so I kept riding. Well she didn't like having to sit again for another 2 weeks, so this time she dumps a puddle of oil about 6" inches wide from the front wheel to the rear. How is it that it can leak "up" while just sitting in the garage? Thanks in advance
  4. Should I clean the sensor tip with anything special?
  5. Thanks for the info. It appears we are going in the right direction. The battery was low and I cleaned the tip. Now its on all the time. I have tried wiggling the wire, on occasion it will go out. I will have to try a more thorough cleaning tomorrow.
  6. My 84 Venture has aquired a little quirk. As I accelerate the battery warning comes on and the warning light will flash. Run down the road a little and it will return to normal. I can not make it happen, it seems to do it intermitantly. Any ideas?
