After 30 yrs of marriage....biking is the only common interest that the hubby and I share. I'm so glad that we have it..... I haven't been feeling well the last month or so, and the weather's been cruddy this last week, which put me down in the dumps. Last night the hubby was at another volunteer meeting, the weather took a beautiful turn right before I left for work.... I got home, changed clothes, jumped on my bike.... I can't tell you how beautiful it was....the fields have turned golden brown which makes all the red barns look redder, the green lawns greener, the sky bluer....it was breathtaking. The warm air on my face.....it was another night of riding I will never forget! I really don't think I could survive without riding! http://www.worldofstock.com/slides/AAB1834.jpg

Hey Bryan, Just wanted to let you know Gary and I were back over there this past weekend. Our usual place in Soldiers Grove was booked so we stayed at Kickapoo Corners. They are under new managment. Once again, the beds were really comfy in the motel. Just wanted to let you know the web site is down for now. For anyone that hasn't booked yet there are 2 phone numbers you can call: 1-608-629-9999 1-608-629-8669 Also, we had breakfast there the next morning and the biscuts and gravy were delicious!!!

I'm really impressed!!! I learned to sew as a 4-H'r when I was about 9 yrs old. Finally gave it up a few years ago,....but I gotta hand it to you...that looks great. I'm really impressed with what you did! Each time you do it, it will get easier. Congrat's to you! -

Well, I might be wrong, but in a case of tailgaiting, I think women who ride passenger or drive their own bike have an easier time of handling this problem. When I drive my own bike, I always follow the hubby. When someone starts tailgaiting me, I give them "THE SNAKE EYE" look. It usually works. If it doesn't I slow down to a crawl, pull to the right, and wave them around and shake my head as they pass. They get my drift.

Was it ever great to hear from him!! He said to tell all of you "hi" and how grateful he is to everyone here for everything they have done for him. He has more tests coming up soon and hopefully they will get this thing figured out. You don't know how good it was to hear his voice. Even though he's not feeling the best, he's still joking around! I'm praying for the day when I see a pix on here of Lowell back on his bike with that little ol' grin on his face!

The hubby and I put geothermal in when we built our house in 1998. I about croaked at the upfront cost....but....it has more than paid for itself many times over. You won't regret it.

I only hope you get to meet him one day! The hubby, one of our son's and myself were lucky enough to meet him at the Cody Roundup last year. He touched our hearts, and my son (whose 25) thought he was the best!! He's welcome in our home any time! Kind, gracious, humble are just a few of the kind of words that describe him.

Don't know if you have plans to overnight in Red Lodge, but we stayed here, They have a motel and cabins. In the morning a guy cooks flapjacks outside for breakfast for everyone. No charge. www.AlpineRedLodge.com. Nothing wrong with doing Chief Joseph twice. It's worth it!

Crud. It's only 2 hours from us and I'm hosting a shower for my neice in the morning, my mom is having a big family reunion in the afternoon, and I'm having a suprise birthday party that night. Durand is beautiful and I'm stuck inside off the bike. Hope you have a good turnout!

For anyone who's on the fence about this....did I mention the APPLE CIDER SLUSSHIES that are deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelicious!! The apple orchards are only a few miles south of where the campground is. Cheesecurds, apples, slushee's, jams, dips. Does life get any better?

Try it on a late Sat afternoon or early evening sometime if you guys can. It's a howl!! Also, they have sleeping quarters upstairs (can't talk the hubby into it!!) which would be great cuz they have really good bands playing! They had a burn out weekend there a couple of years ago and they let people pitch tents across the street. Let's just say the beer was really good and cold and it was about 100 degrees out! I'm getting to old for those kind of weekends!!
