We live 5 miles south of the Minnesota border, so we will be taking Minnesota Interstate 90 out to Spearfish, jumping onto Hwy 212 up to Billings then heading west to Butte, Montana. Anyone know of a nice campground near Spearfish as that will be our first night?

Name of Restaurant Nelson Cheese Street Address Hwy 35 S City Nelson State or Province WI Website (Optional) nelsoncheese.com Quality of Food Great Quality of Service Great Biker Friendly? (Parking, Trusted Location, Etc.) Yes Kind of Food? (Mexican, Chinese, etc.) American Alcohol Served? Yes Additional Comments This cheese factory is a must stop. Great sub-type sandwiches, but the best is their ice cream and cheese curds. They have a huge selection of fresh cheeses, wines and breads also. There is no sign on the outside of the brick building, but just look for tons of parked bikes and vintage cars. If your coming from Minnesota, it's right across the river from Wabasha. Located in Buffalo County WI, you will be amazed at the beautiful back roads to ride on.

Hubby bought this at Fleet Farm. If I remember right it ran about $250.00. He already had the lights. He also welded a steel plate on the bottom to give it more strength. We have a 2 man tent that rides underneath my leg that sits on the side bag. Sleeping bags, queen size air mattress and our clothes in duffel's all fit into the back. Works really well for us and he doesn't have to pull a trailer!

Hey Mini!! Changing mine to 05/08 ...figured it out. Posted yesterday...but had to change my answer. Personally, I'm glad I got "trapped"! It's been a great experience! Didn't think it was for anniversary, but I did think it was asking when you got hooked on riding bikes! I'm always two steps behind!!

Originally 04/75.....then again 07/04 and I'm not talkin' anniversary

Excuse me while I go get a kleenex to wipe the drool from my chin......Glad you thought of us northerners while you were out!!! Thanks for posting the pix.....hopefully only a few more weeks!

I think it's a terrific idea!!! There are always those "back road" places to eat that we sometimes stumble on but it would be nice to know about them!! It would be really nice to be able to sort them by state!

Thanks for the sympathy..... Have you been able to ride up there at all yet?

Is anybody in the upper half of the US going to be able to do any riding this weekend? I'm starting to go bonkers. The hubby and I don't mind putting on snowpants and going for a spin in about 35 degree weather but it's to cold to even do that. I know it's early but it's still in the 20's here, cold, snowed again last Monday and sounds like it's going to stay that way for a while yet. I'm tired of pulling into the garage every night and seeing that chrome just staring at me. This has been one verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry long winter. I'll quit my whining now...thanks for letting me vent.
