Yep, got the playlist, can download my CD's, purchase i tunes.....but this is my problem... "I just had my heart set on Elton John's Live at Ephesus rendition of Rocket Man. It's unbelivable to listen to and is so much better than any other Elton John cd version I've listened to." This rendition only comes in DVD not cd format. I think I'm out of luck on this one! Don't know if anyone else appreciates Elton....but if you haven't seen it, it's on utube. It's 10:33 long but wow.....what a preformance!!

My ipod doesn't have video at all so I might be out of luck..... I just had my heart set on Elton John's Live at Ephesus rendition of Rocket Man. It's unbelivable to listen to and is so much better than any other Elton John cd version I've listened to. Why can't things be easy?

You all know I'm an idiot when it comes to technology so here's another one to throw at you..... I bought an IPOD shuffle, you know the small one that just plays music, to listen to while riding behind the hubby... Anyway....I know how to purchase and download tunes from the istore....but... is it possible to put music on my ipod (shuffle) from a dvd? Ex: I just purchased Elton John's Dream Ticket 4 DVD package. The problem is, that same music isn't available on a cd. (Now just so you know how worthless we are when it comes to technology....my son hooked up a surround system to our tv that has a built in dvd player and we still can't figure out how to play a dvd on it) (I'm so thankful I can't see you rolling your eyes when you read this, but I really appreciate your help)

Hands down...... James Herriot Everyone of his books had me laughing so hard I ended up .....well, you know. Anyway...I've read his books several times over and I still crack up. Didn't care for the PBS series, but you can't beat the books.

Well....jeez....how does a person respond to that.......... Glad to hear your doing good, but I've just got one question for you.... HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN LOUISIANA IN JULY? Been to New Orleans twice. Both times in July and thought I was going to die.(I thought we had humidity here in Iowa, but that is downright miserable in the summer!!!) Guess you'll just have to stock up on some ice, and I mean ice, cold Corona!!!

Need your opinion on Kentucky road trip...
Iowawegian replied to Iowawegian's topic in Watering Hole
You people are impressive!!!! Go home for the night and come back this morning to a wealth of information!!!!!! You don't know how much I appreciate all of your suggestions!!! We will be going June 12th thru the 19th! Thank you so much for all your help and now to get out the highlighter and map of Kentucky!!! :bighug: -
It's time for me to plan our annual road trip. Our oldest son has picked Kentucky. We will be leaving from Iowa, going interstate through Illinois, Indiana, then starting in Louisville, KY and riding the state for a week. We like to ride on quiet roads rather than 4 lanes. We've never been there so I'm asking for help on roads that are really scenic rides. Also, if there is any places that are "must see's". We will be moteling it, instead of camping this time. We tend to stay in small towns (pop 250-2,000)and stay away from large city's. It's always fun to check in to a local motel and walk to the nearest pub/diner, so if anyone has any suggestions I would sure appreciate it. Thanks for any input... Deb & Gary

from him? It's been since the 16th of Jan. He said he'd be gone for 2 weeks.....I'm just suprised he hasn't checked in.

Thinking about buying a Venture...
Iowawegian replied to sho_greg's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
From a wife's point of view: 1st bike: 90 Benelli 9 yrs old 2nd bike: Yamaha 125 13 yrs old 3rd bike: Yamaha Virago 1100 41 yrs old (now my bike) 4th bike: Yamaha V Star 1100 45 yrs old traded it off for our 5th bike: 2005 Yamaha Midnight Venture 47 years old We plan on keeping the Venture till we're so old, we have to trike it out. You'll love it. Get her a sheepskin, she'll love it. Have fun! Midnight Venture's the best bike there is for 2 up riding....in my humble opinion. -
I was thinking the same thing yesterday..... Wonder what the old fart is up toooooo:think:

The *OFFICIAL* Gas Mileage Poll
Iowawegian replied to Monsta's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
54 mpg.....but you gotta remember....the hubby never goes over the speed limit...usually slows down at green lights....and the new chrome light visors I gave him....well, he doesn't want to put them on because he's afraid it will knock down his mileage!!! This is coming from one patient wifey who tends to always go faster than the speed limit, goes through yellow lights, and loves any form of chrome! We will be celebrating 30 yrs of marriage this summer.....amazing isn't it? -
Hey Coutney!!!! I was wondering how you were doing!!! As far as the man thing.....The right one will come along.......just a thought.....are there a lot of single men on our forum? Courtney is a fun, loving, free spirit...plus she's got a hot bike!!! The hubby and I got to drink a few sasparilla's in her garage last year at the meet n eat and had a great time getting to know her!! Glad to hear about your new job! Deb

The hubby and I share the same word. People call us Mr. & Mrs. Crazy because of how many miles we ride in a season.

Not even gonna attempt to ask......what kind of trouble your up to! Have fun what ever it is!!

Well, the father in law just showed up and said I better "get my butt home". Apparently, the blizzard is getting a lot worse out there...so.....since I don't have a computer at home, I would appreciate everyone behaving themselves for the rest of the night since I can't be here to defend my self. Have at em Mini .......if they cause any more trouble!!
