First bike was a Honda Super Sport 50 when I was about 16.  Worked at McKinney Saw & Cycle, Ruston, LA when I graduated LA TECH in '79.  Had a Honda CX500 from about 1981 thru 1987.  Then took a bike sabbatical.  While working at McKinney's (early 80's - he sold Hondas and Yamahas) I encountered the XV920R.  Liked it.  Early 2000's started wanting to get back on a bike and in 2004 found and bought, not the XV920R, but the Virago XV920 shafty.  I spent about the next 8 years transforming the Virago cruiser into the XV920R, but with shaft drive.  I'll post a before/after pic of my XV920TRJ (the T is for transformed).

Rode the Tail of the Dragon with my wife on the 920 in 2019 at a Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club event (I'll post a pic).  Since then, decided we needed something with a little better passenger accommodations.  So in November, bought a 2001 RSV with 71K miles - 'Big Red' (pic).  Currently (December 2024) working on cleaning up the grime under the tank, and checking/adjusting valves and a carb sync.  Rear shock rebuild/replace soon to come.
