    I have 2 86's. One has been sitting for a year while I got around to rebuilding starter. It runs but has issues at low rpms. Other bike I just bought has been sitting for a couple of years and needs carbs cleaned before I try to start it. Question is how hard is it fixing the carbs?

    I found out the cruise won't work above 90 mph

    I'll bet there's a ground somewhere else in the panel. But then some older homes only had to be grounded at the meter. Any idea when the panel was installed?

    Must have been riding a 1st Gen and blew all his clothes off with all that power.

    As someone thats been in your shoes I can tell you trust your instincts, always put the kids first, and put your knees in the breeze every chance you can. Things have a way of working out for the best. Who knows, you get a 1st Gen you may never go back.

    Was looking forward to possibly being able to make it to a meet and between work and the kids starting back to school just don't look like I'll make this one either. Do you have any shirts for sale for people who can't make it?

    That's one of the reasons I love my 1st Gen. Lots of people have never seen one. That's why my tag says NOTAWNG. Had too many people complimenting me on my "goldwing".

    Snaggletooth, there's a set of these on ebay. Got trunk, bars and armrests. Put in Venture Royale in search.

    If my 86 has one, it ain't working because I've been in redline territory and never had it cut out. I've had mine to around 100 mph in 3rd gear showing a Harley my trailer hitch.
