96rstc Pass seat mount WHat is it mounted to
gunkylump replied to muaymendez1's topic in Watering Hole
On my 96 the passenger seat had a "tongue" on the front which slid under the operator's seat, and coupled with the screw in the back, held the seat in place.....if my memory serves me correctly. I've had it soloed for some time, but I'm pretty sure that's how it worked. gunk:shock3: -
They're on the way Mick...hope it beats the possible postal strike on this side of the ditch....but they are on the way. gunk:shock3:

$12.41 plus 15 per cent Canuckistani government taxes....includes tracking #, no insurance. Post office may be going on strike here June 1st, let me know what you want to do. If you're going to Don's MD in Ohio, I could send them with somebody....Ibents would probably haul 'em down for you..... gunk:shock3:

I'll get to the post office either Monday or Tuesday Mick. gunk:shock3:

Send me your snail mail info and I'll get a price on Monday for shipping....appears I might be your only chance.... gunk:shock3:

Leather saddlebag cover mounting
gunkylump replied to 1BigDog's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
A good quality contact cement, and just follow the instructions. I like mine without the trim, they are there...but don't have the trim to make them jump out at you.....a nice subtle change to the lids. Gluing them on worked fine, just make sure it's a good quality contact cement. gunk:shock3: -
Did you get the operator's backrest with it as well? I find a backrest really adds big time to the comfort level of any seat....hope this works for you! If not....let me know if you're selling the Corbin....I just may be interested. gunk:shock3:

Yup, I do. Would be cheaper if you can get them in the U.S. though..but let me know if you need them, and we'll "git 'r done". Shipping costs suck! gunk:shock3:

Thanks Y.M., we hate to miss it, but circumstances just won't allow it this year. We'll miss seeing your smiling face as well. Next year will be better, it's just one of those things that demands we stay here and work at. My job entails a lot of overtime and weekend work, we're losing our tenants on June 1st, and I had already booked time off for M.D. June 3rd...but now we'll have to use that weekend to prep the house for the next tenants. I just don't get that much time off to do both, plain and simple. We'll be thinking of ya's! gunk:shock3:

Don: Beth and I won't be able to make it...a wee bit of a list of crappy reasons preventing us from doing so. We are both going to miss this event, BIG TIME! We wish we could be there, but it just won't happen this year. We'll do our best to be there next year. gunk and Beth:shock3:

Not sure which way the Oz folks are heading to Don's, but we have 3 empty bedrooms, and 2 spare couches if they head down our way to hook up with the mixed bunch of yanks/canucks leaving the Windsor/Detroit area on Friday.....you folks are more than welcome to stay, we're 20 minutes out of Windsor, and would be able to get you to the bridge safely, on time, fed, maybe fed up, washed and waxed and ready to roll to MD. We can't make it this year, the house issue which I've already had enough of.....but we'll be thinking of y'all down there. Next year will bring better things. A+A from Oz, come on down! We'll leave the light on for ya! Bud the dog loves company as well, he's a right friendly old coot. gunk:shock3:

Man, I gotta have a yard sale...get rid of a few wine bottles, beer bottles...whiskey bottles....empty chip bags, newspapers..oh, wait, they went out in the recycle today..the papers that is! Seriously, beauty looking garage! And I like the bike as well, looks sharp! gunk:shock3:

I used contact cement and cemented mine on.....working good for me, 3rd or 4th year now, and no issues at all. I didn't want the "trim" on mine, just the leather. gunk:shock3: -

Hey Monty! How you doing my friend? Are you moving? I have used water wetter in my cars, and it does work. In my old Volkswagen Scirocco it dropped the temp. about the same as you experienced. It works! Haven't thought about using it in the bike.....maybe one of these days! gunk:shock3:

I purchased 2 of the Edset adapters last year, with the thought that I could rid myself of the speakers acting like heat absorbing muffs in my ears:confused24:did you remove the speakers? I have J+M headsets.....if you did remove the speakers and muffs, how did you do it? How did you attach your mike so that it isn't flopping around? Any suggestions? gunk:shock3:

I know that Canada Post had retired the dog sled teams for this season just before I sent "IT" down that way.... and I'm pretty sure that the pony express was just itching to get moving....sure takes a long....:whistling:long time for things to move along....maybe we'll have to get some help to find out where the heck "IT" is:confused24:, but SURELY "IT" will be there this week... well, maybe next.... or maybe the one after that:confused: But I'm sure "IT" will get there....a little overdue, so.... when y'all open "IT" up..... gunk:whistling:
