  1. Tried to add a pic of how the bike used to look, way back 8 years ago. Beth and I weren't married at the time, but were on a small vacation. gunk:hihi:
  2. I've got a 96 with a few mods, no pics right now, it's somewhat tore apart being cleaned up and adding this and that. It's got over 123,000 k's on it, so far. I've got Jardine forward controls coming in this week that I just won on ebay, studded and concho'd the saddlebags, tinted the windshield, Kuryakin grips, front fender rail, skull mirrors, polished wind deflectors, solo seat rail, Mustang leather rear fender bib, saddle bag guard rails, stebel air horn, 4" pull back risers, yamaha driving lights and covers, LED tail light from custom dynamics, fringed and concho'd mud flaps, chrome carb covers, solo seat rail, studded and concho'd seat.......I'll post some pics when I get it all back together and cleaned up a wee bit. I rode this bike over 5 years, bought it brand new in 98, sold it to a friend of mine. He rode it for a while, then traded it in. I tried to get the dealer who got it to tell me who bought it, I always wanted it back, all he would tell me was the general area of the new owner. Well, 5 years goes by, and I find in on the internet one night, for sale. Called the owner, and the rest they say, is history. gunk:bowdown:
  3. We've got an 05 Infiniti G35 coupe....3.5 V6, it's the nicest car I've ever owned, and I've had a few.....we both drive the G, Beth in the warm weather, me in the winter. We also have a 99 Volvo S80 sedan, twin turbo, 24 valve, dual overhead cam motor.....surprisingly good gas mileage. Also have a 96 Mazda B4000 4x4 extended cab, 4.0 V6, nice little truck, same as a Ford Ranger. We both love the Infiniti...yup, it's an offshore, but it is one awesome car. gunk
  4. I didn't serve in the Armed Forces....out of high school and in to the Uranium Mines here in Canada...but my dad served on the Canadian Aircraft Carrier the Magnificent. I don't have a pic of her, but my dad was a proud Canuck seaman! gunk:happy34:
  5. It's so cold out, after my dawg had a whizz, I had to chop him off the tree.... It's colder than the last man's @ss on a toboggan gunk:pushups:
  6. It's as cold as a mother-in-law's kiss...... It's cold enough to freeze the nuts off an iron bridge It's cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey gunk
  7. This is a great site if you have issues seeing your GPS>.. GlareStomper Official Site,GPS Anti Glare,GPS Visors,GPS Shades Found this on another site, it seems to be a good fix for "screen glare" gunky:shock3:
  8. Beth and I made it to the show with a couple of our neighbours across the street....pricey getting in, $15 with out a discount. Not near as large a show as it used to be....heck, when it was in Cobo, it took up two floors....I was just a wee bit disappointed overall. The jury is still out on the "flaming" Venture....might take some time to adjust. We did see Larry and Joyce, and Brad and Rhonda, I guess we missed out on some others looking at the posts. Cold as a mother-in-laws kiss walking in from the parking lot, but a pretty good day just the same. It was good to get out!! gunky:shock3:
  9. I too enjoyed the movie, and when I'm all dressed up in my leathers, and standing next to my Venture, they say I look like Jabba the Hut. gunk:moon:
  10. "semi annual attitude adjustment"? Hell, I thought you were one of those 70's era rabble rousers....like me. I get an attitude adjustment daily where I'm employed......and I like it!!!! Have fun up there, and don't bother with the suntan lotion...... randy
  11. LOL.....chrome won't get me and my engine home....but it sure does look pretty! Have a good one Goose, hope your weather is better than ours right now...it's cold for these parts. Merry Christmas! randy:rudolf:
  12. Thanks Randy, I googled them, but no one had them in stock. I appreciate your response, Merry Christmas! randy:cool10:
  13. I'm searching for Yamaha engine breather covers....I know they were discontinued, but....someone may know where I could get these: STR-4NK27-15-01 and STR-4NK27-15-02 Any help would be great.....Beth says we need these accessories....and who the heck am I to argue? What a great gal!! Thanks for any help on this one! randy:hihi:
  14. Hey Big Tom! Received the denim shirt I won from the St. Judes auction.....it is GREAT!!! Could you send me your paypal addy once again so I can finish off on the shipping? Thanks, and once again, the shirt is GREAT! randy:banana:
  15. I will notify the donors of the items once you have sent you payment in, be sure to include your shipping address with payment. Thanks again to everyone for your fantastic support. The total raised for the auctions was $303.99. :clap2::clap2: Money sent! Thanks for taking this on!!! gunky
  16. The name of the company is "Power Fist" http://barrie.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-motorcycles-other-Motorcycle-Lift-W0QQAdIdZ152240989 That is a link to some pics of a guy selling one in Barrie, Ontario for $150....what a steal!!! Randy:shock3: http://www.discountramps.com/motorcycle-lifts.htm Another site well worth visiting.
  17. Princess Auto up here in the Great White North has a sale on right now for 499, for a air/hydraulic lift....you ride the bike up on to it, I have the straight hydraulic one, and it works like a charm for the Venture. There is a lock bar on it, so you don't have to worry about the weight, but I believe the gross weight is 1,000 or over. I can look up the company name/manufacturer if you like and send it to you. It's a great lift, with a scissor jack you can pull out the rear end to change the back tire....a real nice piece for the garage. randy:shock3:
  18. Godspeed my friend!! randy
  19. Hey Gary: You and Mary have a fun, safe trip....and just in case you don't head out until Monday or later, don't forget the barbeque on Sunday....looks like a good turn out for some old dead cow and ice cream! randy:whistling:
  20. Hey David: Beth's is on the 19th..... randy:clap2:
  21. Beth and I wouldn't miss it....even if it is on her birthday!!! What a great gal!! randy(gunkylump)
  22. Wow Charlie, your dog and ours could be twins!!! Unreal likeness. Buddy is also a Border Collie Husky mix......very smart, very stubborn, very hair shedding mutt that he is. Great pet, if we could just get him to stop digging holes in the back yard. He has to be kept occupied to stay out of trouble. I'll have to figure out how to post some pics for you! randy:hihi:
  23. What an awesome shot!!! Kind of glad we're seeing it in a pic, and not actually there! randy
  24. You were long overdue my friend, long overdue for some good fortune. You're always the first to help out, the first to be there for someone else.....it's a sign of great things to come! randy:banana:
  25. Love the Hampton Inn's....great beds, breakfast is usually pretty good, and most will allow you to park the bike under the front canopy, which is well lit and DRY. Our favorite is the Hampton Inn in Sieverville....great breakfast, staff are great, and close to great riding, and Beth's favorite, the outlet mall. And, like Carl, never found any broads in our beds either... randy:hihi:
