Neat Brad! A buddy of mine who lived in Windsor and moved to Osoyoos, B.C. a few years ago, has one of these, and rides two up all the time. He has over 270,000 on his millenium edition Venture. He has upgraded his clutch, but other than that....no wrenching at all on his bike. He also upgraded the trailer to have brakes, after pulling the trailer halfway around North America, he found that he wanted the trailer to have brakes as well. All personal preference I would say..... Have fun with the new toy! gunk:backinmyday:

What year you looking for? I have one off my '96 royal star which is mint if it will fit. gunk:Laugh:

Wow....as said above, the silver lining in that tornado was you were in the truck, not on the bike! Heal quick, bruises can be a pita! gunk

Kudos to you Boomer! The world needs more folks such as yourself. Hey, maybe you can pick up a new pet for the pygmies while you're there....it'll give them something to do so they don't pester you so much gunk:clap2:

Now that is an AWESOME looking ride! Mad Max has nothing on you! Great stuff! gunk:smile5:

It was GREAT seeing you and Lonna as well! Been too long! Let me know the cost...I'll send you the green. We are definitely kicking around the idea of Texas in September.....not sure yet where it's gonna play out, but now that the Chicoteague Island weekend has been cancelled, we're looking at our options. Thanks once again for your help......makes things SO MUCH EASIER FOR ME! gunk:D You take it easy at work......too much work and not enough play sucks....

Have you had time to visit the post office yet? The fella in Andrews is asking about his floorboards...don't want to pressure you, just wondering on timing....and $$$ for postage. Gonna cash in my empties and I need to know how much to keep back gunk

Besides the very distinct possibility that Charlie is to blame..... Here in Windsor, we did not notice anything in the salt mine. We're 1,000 feet down...no effects whatsoever. Thank goodness. gunk:Laugh:

I'm one of the lucky ones as well....Ponch and Monty...or Monty and Ponch, worked for quite some time on my bike....gauge kit, mic mutes and even replaced a couple of the vacuum boots on my carbs......would have been a long haul without their efforts. I won't forget that they took the time to work on MY bike....when there was so much else going on for them to do....and can't forget their wives either.....thank you very much to them for understanding. gunk:Laugh:

Hey Monty: Glad you folks made it home ok. Was a great pleasure meeting you and Angel, we're gonna invade your space one of these days...so be prepared! We took the scenic tour home compliments of a couple of Michiganders.....even stopped in Monroe and took in a history lesson with General George Custer! And a great meal as well. Used less than a tank of gas getting home, even taking the scenic tour! Take care, and we'll catch up to you one of these days! gunk:thumbsup2:

Ban a CANADIAN? Isn't that sort of like taboo? A Canadian? We're the ones that send you all the cold weather, snow, sleet, hail and such. We're the ones that leave our sled dogs at the border so that you won't have to clean up after them. We're the ones that brought you.....Carl! Yes, Carl! Without us, you'd have no Carl! So.....be careful about banning a Canadian, just think about what you might lose.....snow, cold, sleet, hail, Molson Canadian, Labatt's Blue and Blue Light, Crown Royal, ice wine, walleye fishing, bear hunting, moose hunting, the Windsor Ballet, and of course...Carl! Can you afford to lose all that? Of course not! Don't ban the man......invite him back down, send him out on another 2nd gen....then let Goose entertain himself on Swifty's 1st gen.....nothing harsh....but a little weeee bit of entertainment......then of course, a small wager and a race.....nah, the 1st gen might still take it, so .......what to do??? Boy, this is a tough one....ban a Canadian.....you're northern neighbors who would back you up until your nose bleeds....your northern neighbors, who saved you from inheriting Quebec......your northern neighbors, who all sort of talk funny some say....your northern neighbors, who love ya so much that they think Swifty really got ya gooooooood! Aaaah, your northern neighbors......ya can't ban us....hell, even Boomer's pygmies wouldn't be able to replace us. So, you might as well just let it go......chalk it up to experience(bad) and move on....but be wary of the next Canuck sitting in the bushes...waiting for the right moment, the right time and place........to imprint his/herself in your memory forever, which is really all that Swifty did anyway, right? Imprinting.....that's what it was! If I didn't have such a rotten headache today, probably from too much sun on the weekend, I'd raise a glass or two to Swifty and his antics. gunk:Laugh:

Don: You're the closest thing to a Texas draaaaaaaawl that we can find living here in Ontario. Now I have to listen to Beth talk about it until next year again.... You and Eileen are the BEST...and everyone else here are the next BESTEST in my humble opinion. This is THE WEEKEND that I look forward to most...and I mean that. Each year it means more and more because of the friendships developed both on line and at MD. It's great doing stuff and learning how to do stuff....stuff, what a word.....to the bike. Thank you all, it really does mean a lot to us. Take good care of that red chair, and we'll be back next year to park one of our butts in it! gunk and beth:big-grin-emoticon:

The mic mutes are awesome! For anyone wondering...they are great! I should have installed them years ago...would have rid us of my constantly asking Beth to re-position her mic because of wind noise, or just noise in general. Thanks, and thanks for the help on the install, I was starting to fade just a wee bit in that heat! gunk:big-grin-emoticon:

My thanks to Ponch and Monty...or Monty and Ponch, either which way. These two guys took the time to install the gauge package on our bike yesterday at MD in the heat.....and doing so cuts into their time to wander around and do other MD things. Words can't express how much that means to me. The gauges look AWESOME, they work AWESOME, and Beth has said how much she likes them and how GREAT they look. Thanks again to two of the best.....Monty and Ponch, or Ponch and Monty, you will not be forgotten! gunk and beth:Laugh:

Group ride from Detroit area to MD on the 19th.
gunkylump replied to MiCarl's topic in Watering Hole
Beth, Ian(Ibents) and Pat and I are leaving Windsor some time Friday morning and plodding our way down...a nice leisurely ride, hitting as many back roads as we can. Maybe we can hook up for the ride home on Sunday Carl! gunk:hihi:
