  1. anyone have pics of a shortened side stand?
  2. my 04 must lower than other or my atv lift has a higher profile 4.75" in the lowered position. i made one with 1-1/4" sq tube but the jack wont slide under adapter and that is with side stand on a 2x4 and adapter held up against frame. I dont have the pin brackets on yet but i dont think having it hanging while rolling jack under will change my results. i guess rolling it onto a 2x6 will help but from what i read so far that isnt required.
  3. 04 venture, i broke the windshield and one "screw tower" on the front half of the fairing. The "screw tower" holds the right side of the windshield chrome trim piece. I think 2 part epoxy will do the trick unless there is a better fix?
  4. rd how much for the adapter? I live in ontario canada so if your states side it likely will become cost prohibitive.
  5. Hi First gen and 2nd gen what year was the switch made? I have a 2004 midnight venture What adapter do i need to lift it with motor cycle jack? Oil pan appears to be the catch.
  6. Turns out it was the cb thanks for the tip.
  7. Great thanks, i will verify CB status and go from there, i wasn't seeing a cb channel pop up so i never considered it. from there i will look at the front connections. At present the situation does not appear to present itself while parked with the radio on. love the english language, same word two different pronunciation's and meanings.
  8. Hi all 2004 midnight royal 25000km. radio cuts in and out at random. don't think it is the volume rheostat. anyone else had this issue? The unit on the handle bar is that the actual radio or is the main unit elsewhere on the bike?
  9. It is in fact for the hand grips, my control is similar to what Bratmanxj showed only my label must be faded or missing. i have not figured out how to attach a photo just yet.
  10. just don't get confused with SYNTHETIC and SILICONE (DOT 5).
  11. Gm all First time rider over 800CC, recently acquired an 04 1300 midnight venture. under the cassette player is a knob with an "OXFORD" face plate. Any Idea what it may be for? I do not see it in the owners manual. Maybe heated handgrips? got the bike on monday, but is has been under a cover ever since because of the rainy days so I have not had time to investigate. I do notice when turning the knob rubs on the gat tank and rotates slightly so a relocation may be in order? thanks in advance
  12. Dot 3&4 are compatible as the difference is dot 4’s higher temperature rating. Dot 5 being silicone based is NOT compatible with either of 3 or 4.
