  1. Ross check with your resp therapist or the medical supply house you got your c-pap from. There are portable ones and power packs available to allow you to camp. You may even be able to rent one for awhile.
  2. Don't listen to him.Cougar Blue is the only way to go,or the hot pink or maybe safety yellow.
  3. Wow that is some driving.
  4. Wow you just made a cold winter day in Utah much more bareable.Spring is coming and I can't wait to head out again myself.Don thanx for the infor on the music.
  5. When riding the 1st gen I on the freeway I liked 80mph.With the RSTD I still like 80 mph but have discovered good gas mileage resides at 65-70 as indicated by the stock speedometer.
  6. this really is totally useless, except for the information on how to excape from a croc.
  7. Great ..... I love it:thumbsup2:
  8. OK here are some pictures of the BSA Royal Star. Its a 1968.And as you can see it is doing what old BSA's do best marking its territory :0
  9. Paypaled you the money today.Thanx Gary.
  10. Well I did it. I went and bought another Royal Star. I found a 1968 BSA 500 Royal Star.It should be a fun restoration and not too long or hard.I' post the pictures asap I get the camera going.
  11. Yes except in groups when not the lead.Bypassed the switch and put a seperate switch on the handlebar and thru a relay. That way I can run them high or low beam.
  12. This is a cool idea.I posted it with another club I belong to.What do you think Utadventure?Think any of them will do it?
  13. SS takes your 5 highest years earnings to determine what your benefit will be up to a maximum amount. It doesn't matter when those 5 years were or how long ago.Mine where back in the early nineties. I started to collect at 62( two years ago) but the other investments went south so now I am back to work which in the end will boost my benefit when I do finially quit if I ever can.If you are covered by SS be sure to talk to them and don't go by hearsay information. There are also other ways to increase your benefit that many do not know about,so read study and talk to SS.
  14. No thats not Camptown races (which I can play). The Jesu Joy of Mans Desiring was fantastic but William Tell was just over the top. Bravo Bravo Bravisimo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. That is a great link to the story of the Ducati V4.I became a Norton Dealer in 1971 and of course dealt with the Berliners. They were still talking about the V4 then and of course the VTwin Ducatis were getting ready to hit the US market..As I remember the AJS was a race only model from the 30's and because of the power it made both that engine configuration and supercharging were banned from racing for awhile. There have been some great and wierd motorcycle designs over the years and I am sure we haven't seen the end yet. What will be next?
  16. No its not just the Midnight RSV's .So far I have a tally of one bat,1 blue bird, and 1 owl.I don't know how I hit the bat or blue bird just found them stuck between headlight and lightbar. The owl is a different story.Cynthia and I were riding home in the dark coming over Fairview canyon when an owl came out from the right just about windshield hight. It couldn't gain altitude and I was going faster then it could fly.It got just high enough to clear the windshield but it just about beat me to death around the helmet with its wings.Very scary.
  17. Great video Pete.I think I recognized Provo canyon and maybe Squaw Peak overlook but not much else.Be nice to have one in the stable
  18. I have been riding on The V-4 Yamaha motor since 1986 and my RSTD since 2008.It now has 36000 miles on it and I love it.I live in Utah so there is no shortage of climbing twisting roads to ride and I have never been disappointed in the RSTD.I also rode it to and on the Dragon in 2009.3rd gear is like a universal gear for this motor and I use it a lot when hotdogging thru the mountains. It will drop down to 20mph then rocket up to 80. This is also nice in town where I leave it in third and drive it like it is an automatic trans, very convenient. As to draging in the curves, the RSTD is lower then a standard,or your V-STrom,but I have found that a little extra air in the suspension will give you plenty of ground clearence.I have dragged it in the curves and I admit I like to lean over as far as possible, but there is enough for good fun on the RSTD. Comfort. Well thats pretty subjective.I like the riding position,it fits me well. At 64 I like that the floorboards let me ride with my knees not as bent as on the 1st gen VR.The seat however I do not feel is real great.I have had it modified by Rick Butler and it is much better. My aging hips however tell me that I may soon be spending money on a custom seat.I bought the Yamaha studded accessory seats that are made by Corbin. In my opinion don't waste your money. They never break in and are always hard.Mine are for sale at a good price. They do look great but are not comfortable to me.You will love the cruise control. It is one of the best features of the bike. Heat. What heat,it is a liquid cooled bike. The only time it gets a little uncomfortable is on very hot days in stopped traffic but then so does my car when the air conditioning is turned off and the windows down. It is the the best cruiser money can buy and I think that the V-4 motor is a great engine for a motorcycle. It is smooth powerful and very reliable and the RSTD is a beautiful, stylish, fast and comfortable platform for this motor.Best of both worlds, great cruiser style and tourer comfort and luxury.
  19. Put me down for a set.
  20. Dave I have levers for that bike if you don't.Call me
  21. Hi Pete Glad to see you made it home safe from the big trip.Buy th stator new from RickH at Buckeye its money well spent.when you install it hard wire it in bypassing the plug. That will save you much trouble in the future. Those plugs almost always give trouble sooner or later. When you get the stator let me know and I'ii help you put it in.I have done several and its not to bad a job. BTW when you coming down? Paul D
  22. byu rise and shout the cougars are out!
  23. Gee lets see 1988 to 1998 is 10 years,1998 to 2008 is 10 years and 2008 to 2010 is 2 years so 10 + 10 = 2 =22.Now how old are those tires?
  24. In a word No.The 1200 final drive as a complete unite is a lot more maintenance. If you dont grease the shaft were it connects to the final drive it will wear and you will lose the shaft. The zerk is useless. There are no longer any 1200 shafts available. If you want fresh gears then transfer the 1200 gears to the 1300 pumpkin. Not any more work then swapping out the whole rear end.
