  1. We have a bright blue sky here too but it is only 31F,just a little too cold for me.
  2. Hi Don, a very interesting thread. I have been following you around the web since 1999 and I don't think I have ever heard you intentionally be nasty or mean to any person or brand either here or on the other website. Anytime that I am aware of that there have been high emotions or tensions I believe you have taken them offline and dealt with them personally. I don't know what the former member's problems were but the fact that you would reach out to him and that you would open yourself up by asking the general membership if there is a problem here speaks volumes. So unless specific incidences can be pointed to don't worry about general disagreements that have little or no basis in fact. Thank you for the time and effort you have put into this site and into your friendship to all of us for all these years.
  3. color Rite does not have the 1st gen codes any longer. Also depending on the year there were different shades of tutone blue. If you don't know the year you are probably better off going to a auto paint supplier and having them scan your part for a match
  4. I'll bet neither the entry fee or the upkeep would be slight/small
  5. From the Darkside Forum at Delphi Forums:Â Communities for friends, groups and businesses Darkside database The number after the year is the rim size, the 2nd to the last number I believe is the mounting pressure and the last number is that riders prefered riding pressure. Other then what I have posted I can't answerany of your questions, but if you go to the Darkside forum you will get all you want to know until you actually do or do not do it. 6. Sorry for your loss Gary. I hope you got a chance to say goodbye.
  7. Done. Thanks for the effort Don. I have no spare bedroom but lots of trees and grass and bathroom and hot meals and tools.
  8. Happy Birthday Larry. Get that recall done on the Slingshot and hit the road
  9. I belong to other clubs that have created a list of possible services individua are willing to offer to other members traveling through the area. Things such as tech, tools, transport local information/guide service.spare room, tent site etc. You sign up for as much or as little as you wish and it is published in a members only area on the website. Is such a thing desirable here and possible?
  10. Most libraries have computers that you can use if don't want to carry one. And you can also set up your smart phone to go to our website.
  11. 10/4 on the walking. Get yourself a something like a Fitbit to help you keep track of your steps and activity time. When I got one I was able to reverse the steady climb in my A1C for the 1st time in 5 years.
  12. That's what I thought. Thanks for the simplification.
  13. Those are really good answers as to why there are two separate and different antennas, but why does it make a difference which side they are on.Wouldn't the CB work just as well on the right and the Radio on the left or vice versa.Inquiring minds want to know.
  14. I have an 87 that pulls pretty consistent 40-42. I do have a station here that sells non oxygenated fuel and it will push 42-44 with that. You should be able to find that in the Vegas area.
  15. Is that an 83 standard? I have always liked the MK1 in Black. I really like the new set of pipes on the Stryker and the green and Black paint. When you convert it to solo will you take the fairing off? What do you have in mind for the seat?
  16. So sorry to hear about Dan's passing. I remember him very well from the Venturers. He used to have a son who lived in Salt Lake City and sometimes we would get together when he was in town to visit him. I lost track of him over the years but have thought of him from time to time. RIP Dan you are free now and at peace.
  17. Thanks for sharing that Puc. You should print that off and anything from the son that you remember and make it part of her permanent record. No lady should be without her history.
  18. According to the Utah DNR the Federal Golden Age Pass does not cover any of the fees for Utah state parks. I have had my Golden Age pass since 2008. I have used it extensively in the federal system but have never found a state park system that would accept it. If you are going to make use of the extensive state park system in Utah an annual senior pass is $35
  19. to ride
  20. make sure that you got the washer on right of the rear wheel back where it belongs. That will cause a hot rear rotor and a rear wheel misalignment The washer goes between the bracket and the swing arm.
  21. Happy New Years.
  22. Went to their website, what a cool undertaking. Thanks for the post/video.
  23. If you look in the tech section for 2nd gens there is a complete write up on replacing the fork oil. It suggests draining the oil thru the damper bolt at the bottom. In that tech section there is also a post that contains a complete assembly manual. Somewhere on this site there is also a Factory Shop manual for the RSV. I believe the recommended amount of oil is 558cc per leg but that write up has it for sure.
