  1. They actually are a very liberal club and any bike is welcome.Since I also own a British Bike (BSA Royal Star 500) and am a member they don't give me too much grief.
  2. doesn't Hannigan make a conversion kit similar to this?
  3. thank you for taking the time to let us know the outcome.
  4. This would be even funnier if it weren't for the sentence at the beginning that these are real answers. Though I have to say that as a senior in High School I was once asked who was president of the US between 1850 and 1860 and I answered with Admiral Pumpernickel of the Swiss Navy and was given credit for it.. Go figure.
  5. Okay so assuming that your original post was not you playing straight man for this boatload of jokers we have here, that zerk was for greasing the splines on the rear of the driveshaft. It didn't work and if you depended on that then you soon found yourself on the side of the road going nowhere because your splines were rounded off.In the old Bench Wrench from the old VTS we were advised to remove the final drive and lube those splines by hand about every tire change along with the wheel splines and the fingers. Removing that zerk and putting the splines where thy got lubed by the final drive oil was one of the changes for 1986.

  7. Thanks for letting us know Don. RIP Eddie we will miss you.
  8. I thought the singer was from the Series Due South. I always liked that show was sorry to see it go. Leslie Nielsen was one of the most versatile actors around, he did it all. I don't know how you get pneumonia in Florida,I guess if you are going to go you are going to go. Great song, no you can't keep horsemen in a cage...........or riders either.
  9. I don't expire until June but since I was there I went ahead and renewed anyway. Thanks for everything Don.
  10. Pick up US 191 South in Price Ut and ride it to Clifton Az and pick up SR70/NM75 into Lordsburg Then I10 to Van Horn Tx and south to Big Bend NP.Back home by way of Carlsbad caversn,Santa Fe and US 84 to Chama and Pagosa Springs then Durango up to Grand Junction and home. Have to cheat on the days tho,it'll take me ten and the $1000.00 will be a good start. Since I am leaving on the 29th of April you'll have to get the $1000.00 to me by the 27th OK?
  11. Yeah I still have a hole in my left index finger from a metal sliver that I have to go clean out every once in a while, and a piece of glass in my right ring finger from my days making glass. It isn't swollen or infected but every once in a while I bump it wrong and it lets me know it is still there. darn slivers anyway. Hope yours is healing up well.

  15. Love the Top Spot. Eat there when ever I an down in Cedar
  16. when you get the Snagglestuds there is no need to have them drilled and taped,Ram makes a clamp on mount with one or two ball mounts.
  17. I don't have any pictures of the actual bike a 1956 AJS 18s but it looked somewhat like this. Of course mine didn't look anywhere near this good, having been beat to pieces in the 12 years between 1956 and 1968 when I got it.I had been riding before, but this is the 1st one that was mine.
  18. The Willow trees are turning green here and some fruit trees are putting out leaves. This is bad here because we need the snow pack for summer water and there is no snow pack.
  19. 62 here in Salt Lake City
  20. Sorry this took so long. I actually forgot about it. I am sending you a PM with the VIN. The tag also shows it to have been made in 7/1986. It is the 5th Anniversary tutone Gold color and has the original 5th Anniversary badges on it.It was sold by Plaza Cycle in Salt Lake City UT but not sure of the month. It was then taken to Wyoming where it spent several years but not many miles. I believe he either became too ill to ride or passed away. The next owner brought it back to Utah to Price. He only had it a short time and also did not ride it much, then decided he wanted something else. I bought it in 2001 with 35k on and proceeded to put another 40K on it until I bought my 08 Tour Deluxe in March of 08. It has been garaged under wraps since then. It has Chrome Rotor and Caliper covers,VentureLine Chrome fender bumper with lights, fork mounted marker lights,VentureLine Chrome Fairing Air intakes Ventureline Grips,Ventureline back rest,VentureLine Driving light mounts/horn relocators,Wood Grain dash overlays, luggage rack,Trunk side guards Chrome space fillers behind engine and a full set of Travelcade sheep's skin covers,(passenger back rest driver backrest and seat. This is my 3rd 1st gen since 1983 of a total of 4 before going to Royal Stars
