Yup E2's have always performed well and I've never had problems with them.I think they're about the best all around tire for big bikes.

Look what I just found on my scoot. It just happened to be sitting the right way when I walked past and something caught my eye.Needless to say I just ordered up a set of Dunlop EliteII's.I don't think I'll ever buy kenda kruz tires.

Decided to take a week off and take my little guy Josh to the beach. This is my first official trip on my new to me kawasaki voyager that I bought from wanderer.I ordered the hitch and the modulite and had them before I picked up the bike so I guess that would be my first mod on the bike.Took a few pics enjoy!

Venture or voyager?
ADC replied to fatmansauto's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
The best way to tell which you would like is to ride both, they're both good looking scoots, both have plenty of power and both ride good the one advantage I see with the Voyager is that it is very well balanced with a low center if you see holding an 800 lb. bike up at a stop light being a problem in the future then the Voyager would be the way to go,it just doesn't feel like it ways that much compared to the Venture and handles very well at slow speed. The Voyager is a great bike,we got along just fine going home today, very comfy,no monkey butt after 6hrs or so of riding, plenty of get up and go.My 1st gen is still here but she needs some work, gas mileage is getting bad and 2nd gear is starting to act up,I hope to fix the ole gal up a little and keep her. -
No I haven't done it yet,it was replaced just before I bought it(5-6 yrs ago),but I have the belt and a special wrench made to take the cover off without having to remove the radiator ect... someday I will have to do that. Arthur

I've never has to work on the carbs but from what I understand it's not that easy. Freebird mentioned stator problems, the 82-85(I think) had this, most of the time if there is a charging problem it can be found in a burned out plug that runs alongside the battery,it's a 3 wire plug that burns out and it's best to cut out the plug and splice the wires together. 81 wing sounds familiar,oh! I have one of those, great bikes, a little underpowered I think but jump on it.Someone mentioned the timing belt and it would be a very good idea to change that,if it goes the engine goes.Mine has 110,000 on it and still runs strong, other than routine maint. I've never had to do anything to it. Arthur
