OK....reading all the responses here, maybe this was just a bad idea. It was meant to simply be a fun little addition but maybe I didn't think it through as well as I should have. It may go away tonight.

I'm not sure how best to do it. Maybe only our planned and major rallies like Fort Collins, the Dragon, VentureRider East, VentureRider West, Pig in the Park? I could also do away with this version completely and just add it to the awards section. Creat a new medal or icon for rallies and etc. but the problem with that is that I or SOMEBODY has to manually put those in. The advantage though is that you could see in somebodies profile which events it was that they attended. I don't know.......it's just ALL SO CONFUSING... For now, I've increased the number selection to 40.

OK folks...if you look at my avatar and other information on this post, you will see a note that says "VenturRider Meets Attended". I received a request from Jeff and Beer30 asking if I could add something like the "Awards" system to show how many eat and meets, rallies, maintenance days, etc. that a member has attended. This is a far cry from what they asked for but is the best I can do at this moment. I will try, in the future, to come up with something closer to what they really wanted. At any rate, this will work on the honor system. All you need to do is click on UserCP and then Edit Profile. At the very bottom of the page you will find a box to select how many VentureRider meets and eats, rallies, maintenance days you have showed up for. I just put 20 in there for now but can increase it if and when I need to. Heck, some of you may have already made more than 20. If so, just let me know. Sorry Jeff and Beer, but this will have to do for now and takes the pressure off me and/or the moderators for adding this info. I will try to make it fancier some time soon.

I think that Yamaha re-designed the stock filters. The covers would work with my original filters but I heard they would not work with replacement filters or filters on later models. I did install the K&Ns later but they worked with my original filters. I have never re-jetted and see no reason to. -
I don't have the catalog that you are looking at but I do have the chrome air cleaner covers on my '99. If we are talking about the same thing, they have been available since the beginning. I received them on Friday but didn't have time to install and test them over the weekend. I will try very hard to do that next weekend. I also have the modulator valve on mine but I can crank it all the way open and it should work fine.

Really sorry to hear how this turned out. I have had it happen to me and know how disappointing it is. I bought an '86 off Ebay a couple of years ago. "LIKE NEW"....and the pictures were either very old or taken at angles to make it look much better than it was. I hooked up my trailer, stopped by the bank and got some money, and headed off to a little town up near Rochester, NY. Pulled into the guys driveway and knew right off that it had been severely misrepresented. Actually had boat trailer tail lights bolted to the trunk, mufflers were rusted out, oil all over the motor to the point that it smoke severely when warmed up. I was more than a little mad and let him know it before turning the truck and trailer around and heading back home. He learned nothing from it though. A couple of days later I saw it back on Ebay again and with an even more glowing description. Not only that, but it ended up bringing more than I had bought it for and the person who won the auction this time eventually left GREAT FEEDBACK for the seller. I hope the other one works out for you. If not, you really should check out the one that Gibvel is selling. I'm seen it and it's a nice bike from what I remember.

The count? Heck...I don't know. I've received orders for about 125 via PayPal. I have not counted the ones from folks who are ordering via snail mail. I could go back through all the posts and add those up but just haven't done it. I'm not too concerned because I ordered 250 this first time and can add to that if I see that I need to.

NO...not 3 X 1.80....the 1.80 is only ONCE...then .50 for each additional...so for 3 bells....3 x 12 + 1.80 + 1.00. Total = 37.80...or something like that.

Sorry, had forgotten about it. I just went out and looked and it seems that I don't have much of anything. I thought I had a couple but must have sold them. The only thing I have left are the front forks from an '83 Venture. I don't think it will do you any good though because I gave away the triple tree off it.

Yea, it should have been .50 per additional bell. I've changed it. Everybody who has paid has done fine and either way is OK. No big deal. Sorry about thta.
