Yep...got it thanks. Yours too Keith.

No what you were looking for but here is a nice looking trailer that I hadn't seen before. http://www.pod-ium.com/

Yes, there are still some bells left because I increased the order. Just see the sticky thread at the top of the Watering hole for the ordering instructions and pricing. Thanks.

Yes...it is a conspiracy. I have "killed" the thread. There are several ways of dealing with such threads. I can delete them which makes them go away completely, I can close them so they are still present but no further replies can be added, or I can "kill" them so that they just drop lower and lower and do not show up in the "new posts" list. That is what I did to this one. Peak Oil seems to be the only thing that Hank has ever discussed here. I did not build this forum for Hank or anybody else to use for their personal sounding board for a single issue. Many folks think that Peak Oil is a group of crazies that belong in a loony bin somewhere. Many experts have completely destroyed their claims. There are a lot of places to discuss Peak Oil. Entire pages dedicated to them both pro and con. I have asked Hank in a nice way both publicly and privately to keep it off this site but apparently he has chosen the spreading of the Peak Oil Gospel to be his personal crusade.

Since you've already ordered, you just need to add 50 cents per each extra bell. So, that would be another $25.00. I'm doing everything I can to make sure that they are in everybodies hands well before Christmas.
-
Had some late orders come in so I went ahead and increased the order to 300. So, I still have some if anybody else decides they want in.
-
Yep....I have them. Don

Well...sort of a picture. I used the picture of the blue and yellow wax model and did some special effects to it. So....this is not a picture of the actual bell but at least you can get the basic idea of what they will look like. On the back side it has our logo...Life's a Venture....Get on and Ride!
-
OK folks, just to keep you updated. I have approved the wax model and now the permanent mold is being cast today. Then the bells will go into production tomorrow and I'm told will ship to me no later than Friday. I think they are going to look very good. I'm anxious to see the final product. Only 17 remaining of the original time. If anybody else is interested, please order SOON. I'm trying to decide if I should increase the order at this time but unless I see real demand, I will just wait and order more later. Thanks

I bought into all the Mac hype a few years ago. I had a friend who used one and all I ever heard was how great it was. Finally broke down and bought an IMAC...turned out to be the ugliest paperweight I've ever owned. Finally sold it on Ebay. To each his or her own but I'll take the PC any day.

Very nice car. Love the color. I'm not really partial to any automobile brand and have had pretty good luck with most all of them. My company car is a 2003 Dodge Caravan. It has right at 110,000 miles on it and I will be getting a new one within the next couple of months. I have to say that it has done very well. Until this week, it hasn't required anything but regular oil changes and one set of brake pads and one set of tires. This week I put in in the shop and got new tires, brakes all the way around and they found the left rear wheel cylinder leaking and the right anti-sway bar bracket broken and replace it. Also got the scheduled oil change. The bill came to 1,032.00 but with 110,000 miles, I didn't think that was too bad. Besides, the company pays for it. They will be replacing it with a 2008 Dodge Caravan. I have a shorty now but Chrysler has dropped the shorties so the new one will be the Grand Caravan. Hope it does as good as the '03 has.

Sorry to hear it. They are EXPENSIVE. It's a bit late now but for good info for others, you should NEVER use the high pressure air lines that are used to air up tires. Everybody should own one of the small Progressive pumps. About $40.00 but MUCH cheaper than a new shock. As for your question, I've never changed one out. I've had the bottom loose to install the leveling links and I don't think it would be too big a job.

Serves you right for even STOPPING at a Chevron.

I considered the new Blackberry Pearl but for $100.00 more, you basically get a lot of functions that I don't use or need. I don't use the email, browser, etc. I have my laptop with me for that. I also NEVER text message so don't need the keyboard. The phone I bought also used the MicroSD chip. They are available in 8GB now but that is dependent upon your phone supporting it. You will have to check and see.

I didn't say you WERE biased, I said you COULD be. You stated that the Venturers are just as friendly and etc. and etc. That may be the absolute truth but could also be a biased opinion. May not be either. I'm simply saying that like me, you are NOT a neutral party.
-
Here you go. No center stand needed. http://www.standsecure.com/index.htm

I don't necessarily disagree with anything you said but I do think that you should add that you are a director of the Venturers site and therefore you could, just possibly, be a bit biased in your opinion.

I'll have to get back to you on that. I've had it plugged into the USB port most of the time while I've worked on loading music and etc. It charges while hooked to the USB port. Today I've been listening to it unplugged for about 8 hours so far and it's still over half charged. Doesn't concern me too much because when I'm traveling, I usually keep my phone plugged in anyway. With this one it can be charged via the USB port on the notebook or the 12 volt adapter which I will use on the bike also.
-
By the way, it also has a 2 megapixel camera. Not bad for those times when you see something you want to snap a quick shot of but don't happen to have your camera with you.
-
It has Verizon's VNavigation built in but you have to subscribe separately to it and I've never tried it. Doubt that I will. I use my notebook computer with Microsoft Streets with the option GPS feature in my work car. I've heard that the Verizon navigation system is pretty decent but have never tried it.

V-Max rear question..
Freebird replied to artventurer's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Well.....I wish I could answer that question. My mileage went to crap about 2 years ago. I'm still chasing that problem. Recently pulled the cards and reset the floats and etc. but then the weather turned nasty and I've not been able to put it to the test yet. So....about all I can say is that the swap certainly didn't help. Don't know how bad..if any...it hurt either though.- 12 replies
