That's pretty neat. Now she needs to make a model of your bike to go in it.

I should re-state my response about Swifty's post. I don't want to get into any details but I do need to say that though my opinion about this differ from his, that is not to say that there is no basis for what he says. Like I said, I base my political beliefs much on what I have experienced in my life. Having been raised in Texas, I have lived and remember well the segregated schools and etc. I was in the 7th grade when my little town first started desegregating the schools and it was my freshman year in high school when they were completely desegregated. So, I've experienced both. I know first hand the problems and advantages of both systems but to get into it here would go against all that I've stated as to the rules on this site. So, I just want to say that I do understand where Swifty is coming from but I think the issue is very complex.

Once upon a time, I had planned to go with one of these log homes. At the time, I lived about 40 miles from their headquarters. They have a community of their homes there and some of them were fantastic. http://satterwhite-log-homes.com/

The cabin is neat but a LOT more work than this old boy wants to do. I would like to have a fence like that across the front of my place and down both sides of the driveway. Very nice.

Power suppply plug?? above battery
Freebird replied to Jethroish's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
No, there is no power plug for the CD changer, it get's power from the single cable that plugs into it. The plug you see is what Yamaha calls the rear power receptacle. If you look on the left side of the bike, same place where the rear air stem is on the other side, you will see a removable plug. That is a place to put another 12 volt accessory outlet. I installed it there and then ended up just cutting the white connector off that you see and wiring the receptacle with those wires. -
There is so much wrong with this entire statement that I wouldn't even know where to start. I would have to get political though. Not going to go there.

That is NOT what I said...and it would NOT be HOT.

I agree about keeping religion out to a point. There is no place here to discuss different faiths, beliefs, etc. What is allowed though are people asking for prayers for loved ones and etc. If some people find that offensive, then oh well.

Actually....let's NOT talk politics. Here's the thing folks. I know that as we get closer and closer to the primaries and then the general election, it will get harder and harder to not get into political discussions here. I'm sorry folks, I just can't let that happen. Here is why. IT MAKES ME MAD That is the truth of the matter. I know that some of you really enjoy debating the virtues, or lack thereof, of the various candidates, issues, etc. I also know that most of us feel very strongly about our positions on these things. I can assure you that I am no exception. I am VERY political. I've actually written to my representatives about 25 times during the past 12 months alone. How many of you have taken the time to do that? I have strong opinions, I get very angry with some of the decisions made by those who are SUPPOSED to be representing the people and I make my voice heard loud and often. It does very little good but that along with voting is all that I am able to do. We can debate these issue here until the end of time and it will NOT change a thing. My political leanings are a result of things that I have seen and experienced during my 52 years on this earth. I am smart enough to read, research, investigate and form my own opinions about the issues. If I told each one of you that you could post 100 pages of political commentary and opinion, there is not a single one of you who could change my mind about what I believe and how I will cast my votes. As I said, my political beliefs are based upon my life happenings, not anything that I've heard from a politician, friend, news personality or anybody else. I think that most people are the same way. That being the case, what is there to gain by venting our anger, frustration, opinions here? I try to be very fair in the way that I run this site. I know that we have people that are Republicans, Democrats, Independents. I know that we have people of various races, religions, socio economic standings. We have people from various countries and cultures. We are NOT going to agree on politics and we are NOT going to persuade anybody else to think the same way that we do with the words that we can write here. I'll be honest with you about something else. If we start discussing politics here and I get involved, some of you are not going to like what I have to say. Whether I'm to the left or to the right, there are going to be some of you who lean the other way and there are going to be feelings hurt. I would much rather have as many of you as possible as friends....friendship based upon the thing that brings us together as a group... a club...a family. I am only human and as much as I try to be tolerant of those whom have opinions that differ from my own, I am not strong enough to always separate it. I do have close friends from different political parties and for the most part, I do respect them. I will also stand beside them and fight for their right to have those differing opinions. The truth is though, there are some specific issues that I just cannot understand how people can feel the way that they do. For that reason, I choose to NOT discuss political issues with most people because it could very well result in my loosing some respect for them and them for me. So that is the way that I feel. That is why we will continue to keep politics to a minimum here and I hope that you will all work with me to see that this rule is followed. If this site ever DOES turn political, I can promise you that it will be in support of MY political views and some of you wouldn't care for that at all.

I don't know...I've had Canadian Bacon and I've had Peameal, thanks to Marcarl....it's similar but I don't think exactly the same. Either way, the Peameal was EXCELLENT.

You might contact Rick Butler...I'm not sure but I think I remember that he was doing some.

I'm Formalizing The Butler Mod
Freebird replied to Rick Butler's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I've taken the ERC course. I've also practiced a LOT. Both help but NEITHER are enough to overcome the simple fact that the brakes on the rear of the RSV are simply too sensitive. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE...AND...install Rick's system. Cover all your bases. -
I agree...a regular Battery Tender is not sufficient if it is low or dead but for routine maintenance for those of us who keep them on a Battery Tender, it works just fine.

Very easy to install. The hardest part is bleeding the brakes. -
We mourn with you but also rejoice in his full and wonderful life. It is always hard to lose a loved one.

There are a lot of good solutions. Here are a couple to get you started. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3768 http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=504 On the second one, the Pilot light bar, there are better choices for the bar that will light up much brighter. Check out Diamond R Accessories for one that works very well.

I was just reading and then getting ready to post the same comment about the cables and brake lines. It's been many years since I studied Geometry but that doesn't make sense to me either. I don't see how you could get by without the longer cables and etc.

I don't think I've ever owned a pair of actual motorcycle boots. I ordered a pair a couple of years ago and had to them them back for a different size. After looking at them, I just got a refund instead and bought a pair of Justin work boots for about a hundred bucks cheaper. Maybe if I ever actually tried a pair, I would change my mind.

Me thinks you are going to fit right in here.

This may have been mentioned here before but I missed it if it has. I think this is the route I'm going to go for my wife. Heck, for $20.00 I think I'll get me one also. I have a Passport but wouldn't mind having this handy in my wallet. Eileen doesn't have a Passport so hers will be $45.00. Still, a cheaper alternative for any of you needing one. http://travel.state.gov/passport/ppt_card/ppt_card_3926.html

What a great thing to do. This is something that I can get my son involved in. He will really enjoy it. Thanks for the post.

I did some research on it and yes, it IS a scam. All the Amish make is the mantel and even that may be a lie. They claim it is solid wood but many are reporting that it is a particle board with laminate. Also, it is simply a 1500 watt electric heater with a blower. The BTU claim is probably true. 1500 watts does produce just over 5,000 BTU. That is true of any electric heater. 1500 Watts is 1500 Watts...that also sort of answers my own question and original post in this thread.

When I click that link, I get a page asking for an access code.

Well folks...I'm not very superstitious so for me, they are just a cool novelty item. I don't hang mine down low. It is hung on the wire stay just under the passing lamps that the front brake lines and etc. run through. I live it there where I can see it.

Yea, that's what I'm talking about that I called Geothermal. No doubt it's the way to go if you are building a new house or having to install a new system. The payback for upgrading a system is a LONG time though if you already have an energy efficient furnace like I do. The quote that I got was $10,000.00 to install the system. The payback in energy savings would have taken about 12 years. The geothermal system has a life expectancy of 15 years. Just didn't make sense in my case.
