As you know, my wife totaled my '18 Tacoma last week. I finally found one that is not even here yet and put a deposit on it. I always put a tonneau cover on my trucks. On my last two, I went with the Undercover one piece hard cover. I love them. They fit well, look good, and are practically indestructible. BUT....occasionally I have to haul something that is taller than the bed sides and need to remove it. It's not heavy but removing something that large is a bit tricky and doing it by myself isn't the easiest thing to do. So, I'm thinking this time about a hard "Flip" cover. Something like the Backflip MX4. It is a 4 piece aluminum clad cover that you can fold up if you need the full bed for hauling. So my question for you, our all knowing membership, do you have a cover that you would highly recommend over the others? I tried to get them to let me take the one off the '18 but was told that I wasn't allowed to remove anything expect my personal items. Before they got out there, I did manage to remove my bed extender and put it in the back of my van though.

Oh, I’m okay. I feel lucky to even have one coming so soon.

Took my search out to 300 miles and nobody had the truck that I wanted. Most have no trucks at all. I found a local dealer that didn't have one but had pretty much exactly what I wanted already ordered. It had a build date of yesterday so hopefully is about ready to ship. They said that I should have it by the end of July or first of August at the very latest. That's better than the 5 to 8 months that everybody else was telling me. It's basically the same truck I had with a few upgrades. I wanted leather seats this time but of course to get leather seats, you have to buy a "Premium" package that adds other things. So I got the leather interior but also that package comes with a moonroof, JBL 10 Speaker premium audio, other stuff that I also didn't need. So I pulled the trigger. Not the wait begins.

Yea, I've searched for 200 miles. Found one in Cincinnati that was exactly what I wanted, called and it was already sold. Haven't found another one anywhere. Looks like it's going to be a long wait.

I knew that it wasn't going to be easy to replace the truck but it's probably worse than I thought. I've searched a 200 mile radius and no luck. I'm being told that it will likely be 5 to 8 months before I can get what I want.

Well, they called today to tell me they have totaled the truck.
-
No. Traded it a couple years ago.

Yes, I have pretty much accepted the fact that it is going to be a while. I didn't crawl underneath and look at the frame and etc. If I had to guess, I would figure that they will repair it and not total it. If I'm correct, I expect it will be quite a while before I get it back. Luckily my wife has a car and I have a Dodge Caravan that I drive more than the truck to to work. So I will be okay, not happy but okay without it. I would actually be surprised if they total it. Hope they do but I'm not counting on it. It's as 2018 with about 48,000 miles on it. Value is around 35,000 so it will take a lot to total it.

Eileen had a doctor's appointment today and decided to take my truck instead of the Camaro. Probably a good thing because I don't know how the Camaro would have faired. She is fine, as is the driver of the other vehicle, but my truck isn't so good.

I wish I had that talent. I do what I can around here but nailing two boards together is not even that easy for me.

Congrats my friend. I hope you are ready to get to work now.

Welcome back my friend. You were missed.

Two nuts under the front nose of the seat. Look under the edge of the seat, both sides, near the nose. They are 10 MM nuts. Remove, lift slightly, and then slide the seat forward and to will lift off.
