You folks amaze me sometimes. Not much gets by the members here. I just hadn't enabled that feature because I didn't think that anybody cared. It should be back now. -
hmmm....not sure I understand. .05 per day. The subscriptions are set up so that if somebody subscribes, their credit card, paypal account, bank account, whatever is automatically debited at whatever it is set for. I now have it set for $2.00 per month. Now any processor, in this case PayPal, is going to charge a minimum fee for transactions. So out of that $2.00 per month it will likely mean about $1.60 or so actually gets to me. How does setting it at .05 cents work?

I have them on my bike. My wife likes them because it allows her to change position during the long rides. There is actually a set for sale now in our classifieds.

If you click on it, doesn't it open "Subscribed Articles" in the right frame? That is what it should do but you are correct in that it is worthless at this time. The "Portal" is basically our home page. It has a lot of capabilities that I'm not using at this time. There are many modules that I could use for say...product reviews and etc. that could be subscribed to...such as a newsletter.

I'm not sure what quality I used but it must have been less. I have about 100 complete CDS and used a little less than 8 GB. It sounds great.

OK...I'll look at it closer tomorrow. I would rather do it so that a member can add a lesser amount. I've set it up for now as a menu item. It is in the left menu under the Main Menu heading and simply says "Subscriptions". I have it set now for $2.00 per month but just kind of picked that out of thin air. If it should be less, just let me know. It can be used via PayPal, credit cards or bank accounts.

OK folks...I really am going to get some sleep now and probably won't check the site again until tomorrow morning. I do appreciate the kind remarks and all your support but I also REALLY want to know of any problems that you see, any issues at all. I have a 30 day refund period on this server and as much trouble as it would be to move the site again, I would certainly rather do that than to have problems. So far, I'm very pleased with them and the support has been the best I've ever had from a hosting company. Also, if we find a problem there is a good chance that it is my problem and not theirs but I need to know about them before I can find the causes.

I think the ones on your first gen will be OK. I used to run them on a first gen and also on my old Harley. The ones for the second gens have had a tendency to sort of....come apart. Haven't heard of that issue on the first gen sizes though.

Yep...those are a new feature of the upgraded software. I almost disabled them because I really don't think a lot of, basically private forums, taking away from the main forum. I decided to leave them though and give it a try. They are perfect for exactly the way you are using them. Very good idea.

OK...here's the problem. The chat is hosted on a remote server. I did that long ago so as not to put any extra load on this one. It is remotely hosted but connects to our database on this server to authenticate users. Now because all the databases are different on the new server, it will have to be re-configured on the other end. Basically that means a new installation on the remote server. It is working now because I still have the files up and running on the old server. It will be next week before the remote server is reconfigured to communicate with the database here. So why does any of this matter? The problem will be that any new members that sign up now won't be included in the old database so won't be able to get authenticated on the chat server. I THINK though that you can sign in as a guest. Let me know if you have any issues with the Chat. It is going to be a bit confusing for me for the next few days while I basically have both servers up and trying to figure out what info is being pulled from where.

I've turned off the Portal and some other things. Promise I will get it all ironed out laster this evening. HAVE to get to work right now. It will be OK. Just some typical configuration issues.

OH...and by the way...tonight I'll do some more work on things. Enable some of the things that I had disabled and etc. I sincerely want to thank all of you for your patience and support. You are the best friends a guy could have.

Well....so far...it looks like it's working OK. Hopefully things will be better now. Now I have to get in the shower and get on the road. PLEASE let things be working when I check in later today.

Yea...it took all night but the folks at the new host did so much. They have been great. Now I just need to get on the road and maybe tonight get some sleep. I'm sitting in a hotel room in PA.

WOW...it's working. Very strange to see posts here and they not show up at the other server. This is going to be confusing for a while.

I finally have the Ebay Listings link working in the side menu. I think that pretty much has everything working again since the upgrade.

Critical at best. If we don't get shut down again this evening, I will be amazed. I am feverishly looking for a solution via a new host. That will take some time though and a LOT of work to move everything. I hope I can keep it going until the move but just wanted to give you a heads up. If you come here and find that the site is down, just try again later. I promise that I am doing all that I can to get the problem resolved. At this time, I'm getting flooded with "too many users" database errors.
