  1. Yea, but I like to change servers every week or so just to keep things fresh. Actually, it just wasn't working out and I decided to cut my losses and move on to something hopefully better.
  2. WOW...you did a great job. Now I have to find time to work on mine.
  3. OK...awards are displaying properly now.
  4. What I mean by it not working is that if you click on the awards in the postbit or in the members list, it no longer takes you to that members award page. It just takes you to their profile where I don't see the award listed. I'll get it straightened out though.
  5. Congrats to all. You should be very proud. Now she can get a job and support you when you and Jeff retire.
  6. Yea...to get to it just click start...then run...type CMD in the field and hit OK. You will get a command prompt and that is where you will type in ipconfig/flushdns and then hit enter.
  7. Thanks...I had that enabled for some testing on the old server and forgot to turn it back off. I'll do it now.
  8. The buttons are linked to venturerider.org If you are coming here with the IP address of the new server, and venturerider.org still won't work for you, then there are two possibilities. Either it has still not propagated to your ISP service or you need to clear your browser's cache so that it flushes out the old info. A Small Orange was the company where the last server was hosted. I have canceled that account and that is why you see that page and not our site.
  9. Classifieds is working fine from me. Some of the links will not work for folks until the propagation has completed. The awards are a different problem. That is a custom program that I installed for the old version of VBulletin. Unfortunately, it will have to be modified to work with the latest software. I'll get to it and thanks for letting me know. It will probably be a couple of days though.
  10. If you have any problems, please clear your cookies and try that first. If the side menus won't turn on or off and etc...or other issues. It is possible that you have duplicate settings for the site due to the different IP address. So far, things look great on my end. Hope it continues. I'm fairly confident at this point that we are going to be OK now.

  14. By the way, I have to say that from here, the performance of the server is much better.
  15. It just propagated to me a few minutes ago so at least I know it is happening.
  16. Well...I'm happy to say that it has propagated now for me. When I go to http://www.venturerider.org, it does bring me to the new server.
  17. OK folks....many of the items in the blue menu bars are hardcoded back to venturerider.org so if you click on them, they will take you to the old server. If you are navigating the forum, use the links on the left BETWEEN the two menu bars. They will keep you here where you should be.
  18. Please not that until the new IP address of the server is finished propagating, clicking on some of the links will take you back to the older server. If you click a link and see http://www.venturerider.org...whatever in the address bar, then you have been taken back to the inactive server. Hopefully it won't take too long for it to complete the propagation.
  19. If you can read this, you are on the new server.
  20. Just a note to let you all know that I am getting ready to do a final backup of the site. Any messages posted from the time that I do the backup until we go live with the new server, hopefully early tomorrow morning, will be lost. So if you have anything important to say or ask, you might want to wait until tomorrow.
  21. OK...here's the latest update. Yard is mowed. Gazebo is rebuilt Porch railings are built, installed and painted. Site is ready to go on the new server but the nameservers had STILL not propagated so it's still a waiting game. Now I have another little job to do. Gotta repair the Altec speaker that WAS mounted high up in the corner of the front porch. It was mounted there until I was hammering in a new rail and it fell on my head.
  22. I just spent about 6 hours rebuilding that dang thing. Welding, drilling, bolting, cursing.....
  23. I'm only going to say a very little about this. I would like to sell my pond. You can also have whatever you find in the bottom. Here are a few rules you might want to remember when you get it home. 1. Ponds are always hungry. 2. Gazebos are a lot like sails or parachutes in high winds. 3. The water is still COLD this time of the year. and that's all I've got to say about that.
  24. Yea..I'm going to bed now. It's just a waiting game now on the new nameservers. Nothing I can do and it could be several hours before they go active. Night all.
  25. LOL.....I'm just afraid I won't have to.
